Hey guys, I'm fairly new to dnd, having only played 3 sessions. I understand a lot of the mechanics better but still learning. Also want to actually try the roleplay aspect so looking for a dedicated group of good people to help me. I'm rather socially anxious but so desperately want to bring a character to life. If you are willing to have me or just help me, I'd appreciate it. I unfortunately can't participate in Pay to Play
I run a campaign on Saturdays at 8pm cst we are a bunch of laid back guys that just want to rp and do some combat and have fun I think you would fit right in if the time fits your schedule you can message me on discord rcloer for more details
Hey there. I'll be starting an intro adventure next week. There aren't a ton of chances to play a level 1 character which is so much easier for new players; you can ease into the full blown class mechanics, and start off against simpler enemies in combat. This would be later into Wednesday evenings for you.
I'm looking for players like you who are interested in rich narrative detail and invested character development. I'd much rather have a new player with the right vibe than someone who knows all the rules but isn't looking for the same kind of gaming experience.
Check out my post and respond with some detail if you're interested. Cheers.
If you’re looking for a supportive, beginner-friendly group where you can learn the mechanics and ease into roleplay at your own pace, The Nexus might be a great fit. We’re an 18+ LGBTQIA+ friendly D&D 5e community based on Discord that values creating a welcoming space for everyone, including players who may feel a bit socially anxious.
Our setup is a Westmarch-style system with a twist—your character explores different worlds run by various DMs, all from a central hub. Most sessions are one-shots, so you can join as much or as little as you want without pressure. We also offer play-by-post (text-based) options if you prefer a slower pace or more time to express your character.
We use 2014 5e rules with all official sources allowed. Characters start at level 3 with a 35 Point Buy, and there’s no level cap, just a +10 proficiency bonus limit to encourage fun, balanced multiclassing.
There’s no pay-to-play here—just a community that supports each other. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, check us out on the forum here.
