Game: D&D 5.5e/2024 Group: Online Experience: New Players only! Location/Timezone: Virtual (Discord) MSDT Time zone (GMT -7) Availability: Monday 5p-8p (intro one shots 5/11, 5/18 and 5/25 - campaign begins 6/1/2026) Preferred role: Looking for 5 players. Currently 0 have applied. Game style: I am a DM inviting casually interested, inexperienced, returning and brand-new players to explore the game of D&D through a short adventure that introduces the Forgotten Realms, and sets new players free explore the rules while playing. I augment the experience with dramatic, theatrical narration, exciting improvisational role play and voice acting, clear understanding of the rules, decades of experience at showing new players how to play. I am also proficient with the apps needed to play and seamless offer high quality theater of the mind visuals, engaging battlemaps, player-centric Dungeonmastery and the ability to engage players of all ages through the classic game of "make believe". This is an introduction to a summer tutorial and subsequent campaign that begins June 1st.
The game is free however it is NOT a full adventure or even a traditional one shot. This is a new player introductory session that incorporates some introductory narration and would last 3 hours tops. If interested please session zero yourself by gushing about your D&D experiences how you approach the social aspect of playing with people who are different than you to wayfinderdnd@gmail.com.
Actually, I think it's a fair question! I think re-framing it as a "job application" was kind of a personal choice. I didn't mean to make it sound like that.
I just wanted to give interested players an opportunity to talk about why they like D&D and what brought them awareness to the culture of the game world. A lot of times people don't want to hear about that and want to jump straight into game-talk.
I can see why it comes off like that when terms like "well-worded" and "thoughtfully written" sound like I'm evaluating their devotion to the game rather than just looking for similar-minded players so that there is more chemistry and interactivity because the players have similar playstyles.
My bad if it sounds like an application. I'll edit it to soften the tone based on your question.

I don't mean to be rude but why you ask players to send you a lengthy 'about me' email like it's a job application??
