Looking for players for new horror themed homebrew campaign: The Old World

It is October 12th, 1992, in Hopewell, Virginia. Over the last year, Aethelgard-Vance Integrated has taken over the small town, due to a large, multi mile wide hole that opened up 30 miles from town.

Life is difficult for most, and for those who it is not, they lay in boredom for the long awaited day that their life can change for the better. But opportunity opens for anyone. Most wait for the day that someone knock upon their door telling them they’re actually the heir to vast riches. Some work their fingers to the bone to make those riches themselves. Some people view Aethelgard-Vance Integrated as a pioneer of technology, pushing the bounds of innovation and striving for a better future, while others view them as a scourge, and a threat to society and the fragile economy. However one day, you find yourself with a job opportunity to work for AVI. The job offers riches only seen in movies. Whatever your opinion of AVI is, this position seems too good to pass up, confused as to why the position is still open for such a lax and highly lucrative position, you think you may have a real opportunity. They assess you and after a few weeks you receive a call letting you know they’ve decided to hire you. Soon after, you’re being driven to your new job in Hopewell, Virginia. While on your way there, flying over you seen the cavernous hole that digs deep into the earth, where light seems to be swallowed up into it. You are uncertain whether or not this will be what you are working on, but one thing is for certain: whatever is down there may not even be worth what you are being paid to do. 

Alright! Hi! My name is Jake, and I’ve been dming for a few years now and I’m ready to start up a 3 person horror campaign about a group of people venturing down into the depths of a hole that seemingly just appeared. I’m hoping to have this be a rather darker and grittier experience. I don’t care too much about how much experience you have, so newer players are welcome! DnD Beyond will be used for character sheets and discord will be used for voice chat. this world is based in real world earth as far as where you come from. The time and day of the sessions will be decided upon choosing of the players.
