I'm in the same boat have not played since the old days of Advanced D&D that you would play around a table with your group of mates, So here looking around to see what is possible with all this technology we have these days.
I'm brand new to the game, I watched Critical Role (up to ep 8 now) I really really want to learn how to play properly, maybe even be a DM one day but right now I don't know anyone that could help me so I've been reading the rulebook and I want to start playing because the best way to learn is by playing with experience people.

Well met all! I'm 32 and I've been reading forgotten realms books for about 12 years now. I've never played any type of table top RPG before and I don't have any friends who have either. I've been watching videos on YouTube of campaigns and Handbooker helper. I'm ready to dive into the realms, make new friends, and start adventuring! I'd love to join up with an online group and get comfortable with people whether I'm just following along with the adventure or being a part of it. I believe I've watched enough content that I won't be too bothersome. Anyway, hope to hear from you all.
