Looking for an online campaign. Hubby and i are new to the game but love it and have been watching games for many years and have wanted to ge involved in a game.
I'm a student from Vic, and I've been trying to do a DnD Campaign for well over a year. I'm in the country, so any luck of a DnD group already going is out the window. I don't have any experience but have been reading everything DnD. Due to a difficult timezone and weird times to roleplay I have failed to set up anything. If I can get an online campaign going, I would be more than thrilled. Anyone interested, please respond.
I have no experience, but I would love to join a Campaign such as this. The timezone is suitable for my student schedule, and as long as you would be okay taking on someone with no DnD experience, I would be more than thrilled to be part of your Campaign.
Game: D&D 5e. Group preferred: Online, maybe in-person later on. Experience: New, played a 3-hour one-shot. Location/Timezone: AEDT Availability: I am fairly flexible right now, though the later the day gets, the more available I'll probably be. Preferred role: Player Game style: I'm more interested in the roleplay side of things, but I don't dislike combat by any means.
How I fell in love with D&D and a bit about me: TL;DR: Just another Critical Role fan. D&D was never really a thing I cared for until I watched a streamer play a short campaign, and then I got interested. Before that, well I hadn't put in any effort to learn what it was about, or how it was even played, it was just something I heard people mention off-handedly. I also had a distaste for fantasy and much preferred Sci-Fi (still do). However, what I did have a taste for... was improv and storytelling... and D&D is ripewith that goodness. But even after that campaign ended, I didn't really seek out any more D&D content... That was until roughly a year later, when the Game Grumps had Matthew Mercer on as a guest (you can see where this is going). At the time, I was really considering getting into voice acting, and I had always respected Matt for voicing some of my favourite characters. I had been needing something new to watch for a while, so it felt right to finally see what 'Critical Role' was all about, so I started from the beginning, Campaign 1. Anyway yeah I fell in love and am now roughly 20 episodes away from finishing Campaign 2. (Hopefully that wasn't too much...)
For the record, I am 18+ and do like to make inappropriate jokes (mostly at my own expense). Also, I am certainly not "hip with the kiddies," as the kids say, despite being a "zoomer." may want to play as a grandma...
I am trying to find people that will accept me into a campaign, as I have been trying to organize one in person for over a year. I haven't been in a campaign before, so I have no experience as of yet.
Same timezone.
Availability: As I am still a student, after 4pm I am usually available, but Saturdays are the easiest.
How I fell in love with DnD:
My interest in DnD was pretty sudden, hearing about it every now and then when I was growing up. Loving the filler episode of Voltron, Monsters and Mana. Stranger Things was an instant love by involving DnD (So sad when no one was playing it with Will in the 2nd season). I binge watched Vox Machina, and started looking more into Critical Role. Dingo Doodle's Fools Gold story gave me even more love for it. I already have a decent collection of dice, and have created multiple characters, just waiting to use them.
I am 17, but I have been exposed to a fair amount of 18+ content, and any inappropriate jokes are already part of my daily life.
I would love to share my artist ability to the DnD community, but have never gotten the chance.
Character Idea:
Jei Tweet, a rouge halfling cursed to be smaller than he previously was in the shape of a Blue Jay bird. Despite being a literal bird, he cannot fly, as he spent most of his life in a halfling body. The witch that cursed him swore that if she ever meets him again, and he is still using his rouge skills for selfish desires, she will make sure his blue jay body is permanent. If he changes his ways, she will turn him back into his halfling form. Jei is a problem solver, and aims to help people (mainly so he can be turned back).

Hi, I'm looking for any form of game would prefer to be in person but happy for a online session. I am new to DnD, was introduced to the game through popular shows like Naddpod, and Dimension 20 and grown a love for the game. I have created a campaign myself and would love to try it out with some seasoned players or other newcomers. If you aren't happy playing with someone who is new to the game I probably am not your guy.
I have mapped out in detail the first ~20% of a campaign and in broad strokes 80%. But am happy for improvisation, additions, & input from other players. If this sounds like fun to you please reply to this post and I will reply to you when I can.
