Hey, my name is Janelle and I am 16 (she/her). I have never done any role playing or anything mentioned above but am really interested in dnd but I can’t find anybody around me willing to play and haven’t been able to find any online groups. I know this was posted a few years ago but I am really hoping that you still have an all girls group I could join having never played before.
Hey there! I don't know if you've already found some solid matches, but i'll give it a go anyway as this looks like the type of group I am hoping to get to join.
I'm Kay, and I'm 30 years old. (They/them or she/her).
My Discord is Kattack#7614
I've been playing d&d 5e for about 5 years. I haven't played for almost a year now and would love to find a group I can dedicate some time to creating with.
I enjoy the combat but I definitely favour the roleplaying aspect of playing. I love helping to create a collaborate supportive atmosphere where people can enjoy delving into their character and the world they're in. I love having a sessions 0, (0.5, 0.75, haha), to get flesh out and 'meet' the characters, and set up the campaign start for success. I love when players put a lot thought into their characters background, motivations, etc, so I enjoy playing characters who support and motivate other characters. Here's a quick character sketch, let me know if you were looking for more. :)
Lala Laughingleaf, an halfling arcane trickster. Grows up in a small border town, the kind that is the last stop before a long road for adventurers and bandits alike. Her mothers runs the tavern there with a firm but kindly hand and Okra, the youngest, stays there with her to run it long after her siblings have moved on. When her mother passes from natural causes Lala eventually falls on tougher times, she begins renting the back rooms to some of the local bandit. After some time, Lala becomes tired of living alone, of trying to keep the increasingly unsavoury clientele in check, of barely scraping by. She begins to steal small amounts from the bandits and others who come through her tavern. One day while routinely rummaging through the rooms in the back, rented to what seemed to be a small local group of bandits, she comes across a significant cache of gold. Certainly more than she ever imagined ever seeing. At the moment she makes the choice. She grabs the gold, packs everything she can fit on her back and starts off. She's not sure where, but she wants to see a city...and put as much space behind her as possible.
Also, will it be only voice? or running on R20 or something of the like? I'm happy with whatever, just curious. Thank you!
Hi! I’m new to this, but I’ve fallen in love with DnD through dimension 20 and I have always had a passion for storytelling. I’d really love a chance to play. My pronouns are she/her and I am 28 years old. I have done a lot of writing and storytelling and other fields but this form of collaborative storytelling is really exciting to me.
I am looking for a good story, maybe a challenging mystery, and companions that like to have a bit of fun along the way.
I don’t have enough experience to say for sure, but I would say I want a dm who will fully lean in to world building and will really pull me into the story.
Hi! My name is Tori (Discord username is vmv#4366). My pronouns are she/her/hers and I am 22. I have been in one other campaign that was about 6 months long and had an amazing time! My favorite part was building my character and having her evolve overtime (I was a gorgeous 7 ft tall praying mantis with a fanny pack). I really liked interacting with the world my DM made, as well as forming unique relationships with my party mates. As far as a character idea would go, I would probably want to know more about the world and what is going on to really make it relevant to your campaign, but one idea I have been wanted to try out is a more religiously motivated character which I haven't done yet. Someone maybe on a spiritual journey or beginning the adventure as some sort of ritual or rite of passage.
Hello! My name is Paige (she/her/hers) and I'm 19. I've never been in a campaign really, tried in high school but it never got off the ground. I absolutely love having many chances to roleplay my characters! As for a character idea I'm pretty fond of a (sort of) young rouge girl whose backstory could be incorporated into the campaign if you'd like to do that. The basic gist of it is her family was a pretty successful merchant caravan and they got ambushed on a trip resulting in many of the family being dead or missing. She's become a rouge as a way of hiding her identity.
Another character I'm fond of is a homebrew type: a vampire rouge, but trying very hard to not be evil. my story idea behind her is along the lines of her family has always held onto the "gift" of vampirism and it would have been offered to the children when they grew up as a sort of rite of passage deal. but of course not everything can be tightly controled for good, and some of the family turned on the others and it was a whole catastrophe.
So yeah! theres a little bit of my ideas. i hope you find the players you like! My discord is hit-me-with-fantheories#4333 if you're interested!
Obviously this is an old thread but man it's so hard to find other girls that play dnd! I'm 28F, she/her, looking for another female player to join my group of misfits for a long-term campaign. I'm hoping to bring some balance to the group by adding another girl, there are three other lovely guys all 27++ and we've been playing together for almost two years now over roll20.
We're currently still looking for a DM, but hope to run a weekly session on Monday or Tuesday evening at 7.30pm GMT+1 (BST)
About us:
We're all based in the UK. We're experienced players who have been playing D&D for years. We LOVE RP, and value character development highly in all our games. We really put in a lot of effort to create nuanced, interesting characters to explore. And love being able to tie them into the world and work with the DM to create compelling backstories.
We hate meta-gaming. We love real-stakes, but fair play.
We love a challenging fight that forces us to really think about our action economy and resources. It should never be a DM vs the players, we're all here to build a narrative together and hopefully become friends along the way.
We appreciate character accents both great and terrible, and often will try our hand at new ones for any character we roll up. Two of us are also artists so you may also be treated from time to time to some cool character or campaign art.
We prefer discord for voice and don't mind which VTT we use, though we all have experience with Roll20.
Punctual and consistent. We all lead busy lives and sometimes things come up that are unavoidable and that’s fine but we all respect one another enough to make time for weekly sessions. If one of us is unavailable, we let the others know well in advance if possible.
Maturity and a good sense of humour, we’re not really into wacky/zany comedy or joke campaigns, we love getting immersed in the world and lore of the setting.
LGBTQIA+ friendly.
Most of us work in the games industry and have steady jobs that leave our evenings free.
Unpopular opinion: Brennan Lee Mulligan is a better DM than Matt Mercer. >:D
Next steps:
If you're interested in joining us or have any questions feel free to comment or message me on discord at Echo#6259
Hopefully we can have a chat first and see if we vibe and then I'll introduce you to the group :)
