Long Time DM wanting to be a PC

I'm a long-time DM and I want to be a PC in a campaign. I've been playing D&D for about 5 years now and have only ever been a DM. All of the games that I have ever ran have also been Homebrew content. I'm Looking for a game that has a mix of everything, just as long as I get to make my own character, I don't want a premade. I like playing all classes and archetypes but magic users are my favorite. I like to put a lot of creativity in my characters just as I did with my NPCs from my old campaigns.
