The Last Exalted March

As the new year dawns, weather across the lands of Enkaya takes a sudden chill turn. The sky darkens with the shades of oncoming winter, and worry rises as regular channels of communication between nations suddenly cease. Slowly, throughout the lands claimed by the Enkayan Empire, rumors spread between isolated villages, traveling by foot and horse and word of mouth, rumors that Divine Elesea, the immortal ruler of the Holy Kingdoms whose armies conquered every land she set her gaze upon, has fallen in a distant land. How the tyrant was defeated is unknown, but if it is true, everyone knows that a war is coming. The next Exalted March will strike for control, oppressed peoples will rise up in rebellion, and dangers once held in check only by fear of the Divine will bring doom to the world.

Those in power are preparing for the coming conflict, readying fervent armies and powerful weapons and subtle, deceptive plots, but two questions burn in their minds: who killed the immortal Divine Elesea; and what has become of the artifact that would let a man rule the world? Who has the Torch of the Burning Sky? 

Driven out of their homelands by the dogs of war, the heroes head for a distant safe haven, a magic academy known as the Tribunal, which has sent up a rallying cry for those who wish to resist the warmongers. Sent on missions by the leaders of the Tribunal, the heroes form alliances to build an army, and they discover strange secrets that underlie the conflict. As the war reaches a climax, powerful magic threatens to scorch the world or sunder reality and leave nothing but nightmares. 

War of the Burning Sky is a high fantasy campaign saga that thrusts the player characters into a war of mythic proportions. Ever-intensifying conflicts, powered by mighty magic and fervent faith, threaten the heroes’ freedom and lives, and even the world itself.

Group type: Online Using Foundry VTT
Experience: Veteran DM is LFP of any experience
Location/Timezone: Mountain Time Zone
Schedule: Flexible except for Sundays (Weekly)
Roles sought: 4 Players (5 max)
Game style: The emphasis in my games is on role play and character development. I try to utilize my experience to make every NPC and monster as unique as the players encountering them. Combat rewards creative and outside-the-box thinking, while utilizing the gifts and skills that make your character special. Together, I know we will weave an epic legend.

This definitely seems like an interesting and well-built world, and I would love to be a part of it if you still have room for another player. I can be contacted here on DnD Beyond or via Discord, though I would prefer not to release my username publicly but can provide it privately if requested. At this time, weekdays Mon-Thurs are the best for me to take part in anything, with Tuesdays specifically being wide open. I can work around other days, however Fri-Sun are workdays and I have very little available time then. If I am able to take part in this, I'd like to ask a few questions that may alter my choice of character, but I'm sure we can work something out to allow the best experience possible.

Weekly is the goal

Find the setting concept very interesting. Would be excited to play, scheduling permitting. Looking to get a game where I'm a player as the current situation has caused my other player game to be put on indefinite hiatus, and it's nice also having a game where I'm not DMing.

This has really caught my eye and I would love to be apart of it. Having gone into lockdown, I have been eager to find ways to interact with people and have fun. I have a little knowledge of table top gaming. I have played a few games here and there over the years but nothing serious. So I'm still kinda new. Over the past few weeks, I have had fun building D&D characters but I have no place to use them. I hope to find a group and yours seems like it'll be fun.
