I tend to (at least attempt to) use tactics on the battlefield while bringing some light humor to the atmosphere. I favor unwieldy builds, and try to act in a whimsically cautious mindset towards danger, battle and glory. All the better for creating a fun atmosphere.
As a player, I am always looking out for the best interests of the Party, even when I'm making poor decisions on their behalf. I am a high-energy player, looking for similarly-enthused party members to galavant about with.

Welcome to the one and all, DM Mystic Dyrza here, everyone is welcomed at my table regardless of your experience! Come join me in the perpetual night of the north, where Auril the Frost Maiden has trapped the people of ten towns in never ending winter. Will you survive long enough to be the one stop Auril's madness that is sweeping through the ten towns? You will begin your mini adventure on your way to Torgas, one of the larger of the ten towns. Beginning in "the Cutlass" bar of Luskan, your party comes together as they here rumors of an assassination attempt on famed pirate hunter Captain Dutermont of the Sea Sprite. After thwarting the attempt the adventures will be brought into the service of Captain Dutermont, requesting they find his beloved friend Drizzt do'urden who hasn't heard from in ages. Information is scarce coming from Icewind dale and there has been whispers the land has been cursed by a God. Soon after arriving Icewindale our party finds the true extent of the whispers and to compound things they hear a series of murders happening throughout ten towns has everyone on edge...You will need every bit of your cunning and a bit of luck to survive, may the dice ever be in your favor!
Terrible game, this one. Probably one of the worst games/party I've played with in 10 years. Spent 30 bucks across 2 sessions. Got to learn a whole lot.
Like, for instance, that the DM doesn't know the rules for combat (specifically dual wielding, there were many other minor issues, but, long-term, it didn't wildly affect the flow of combat. Just made it more difficult.), constantly questions the choices of his players (I recall one situation in particular where we were trying to distract guards, and were told we should just fight them, instead, because distracting would be a poor plan, in the long run), and plays fast and loose with the concept of "it's what my character would do."
Like, we had situations where having party members dip out to go shoe shopping, resulting in player death (including two players being abandoned with enemies, who were kind enough not to kill us when we were defenseless), and were told "it's what their character would do. Don't be mad at them" meanwhile, when I said things like "Well, since we came here from a party, and we are on a time-sensitive mission, my guy isn't wearing his armor" I was told that I should have changed into armor, and actually had to fight for my right to decide what my character would have done.
Seriously.
Actions that affect only your own character? You shouldn't play that way. That's dumb. Actions that almost resulted in TPK? You should accept that this is how their character acts.
Other fun things that happened: 1. At a fancy Gala, there was a poop-throwing monkey that ear-raped my character, and it was just seen as "business as usual" by everyone involved at the black-tie event. 2. To prevent meta-gaming, if someone left the party for any reason, all the game stopped so they could have a private discussion with the DM. And if what you wanted to do once they came back overlapped with what happened in the private moment? Well, you get told not to bother doing it, because they already have the information. I actually had other players yelling at me for trying to investigate a crime-scene for evidence/witnesses, because they already knew who did it and where they were... (my response being, of course, that my Character didn't know that) 3. The "leader" of the team (Shoe Shopper, IIRC) wouldn't share any information, because he doesn't trust anyone in the party (sees them as strangers he holds no allegiance to)
I recall specifically when my character wanted to know where we were going. He was told he would find out when they got there. My character said "nope. I ain't going into a situation I know nothing about. I'm staying here" and almost immediately the entire party was making pithy comments about it. Yet we kept coming back to Shoe Shopper's fancy new boots, and how they were totally worth people dying for (both from NPCs and the players who had dipped to go shopping)
So much hypocrisy it physically hurt me. But I was willing to put up with a lot of issues, because of how badly I wanted to be able to find an online game of DnD (since my current party can't meet, thanks COVID), but in the end, I was reminded of the old addage: No DnD is better than Bad DnD.
If I could get a refund, I would, but regardless of the shit quality, I technically still got 8 hours of DnD.
I'm sure they're D&D groups you'll fit in well with, but obviously it was not this one. Best of luck with all your future D&D Adventure and thank you for your feedback. May the dice ever fall in your favor.
Also to correct you, I do know how dual wielding works, you weren't b/c you didn't have the FEAT. You were actually off hand attacking as a ranged attack which doesn't work because the attack has to be something your holding per the rule below:
When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you're holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you're holding in the other hand. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative.
