I'm looking to host a game of DnD 5e for a small group of newbies. This will be my first attempt at running a game online. I feel like it'll be more fun to stumble through together as newbs rather than holding up a more experienced player. Two or three people who want to start playing D&D would be just about right. I'm 53 years old and I've played D&D sporadically since I was 12, mostly AD&D, 3e, and 5e. Since COVID hit I've run a few in-person sessions with a small party. I'm still brushing up on my DM skills, but I'm making progress.
I live in Oregon, USA but I need to play at night. Starting around 8pm to 11pm PST - which is 4am to 7am GMT. Any night of the week is fine. Somewhat flexible on the start time.
My game style is pretty casual and humorous with light roleplay. I like the personality traits, ideals, and flaws in 5e. They are a great tool to help build a story around the characters. I also like the Challenge system that open up lots of possibilities for non-combat encounters. I want to emphasize fun, exploration, and creativity over melodrama and interpersonal conflict.
We'll be running Dragon of Icespire Peaks. I'm familiar with it and I have the content on both DnD Beyond and Roll20. It's a great place to start with the straightforward quest system. If things go well maybe we would continue on to the follow-up modules like Storm Lord's Wrath.
We'll be using D&D Beyond for character sheets and Roll20 for the maps and tokens. Roll20 voice/video chat seems to have a bad reputation but I would like to try it myself before bringing in even more software. I've spent quite a bit of time tinkering with Roll20 and I feel like I know enough now to give it a try.
If you're interesting in joining the adventure reply or Direct Message me here with the best time/day for you. You could also include a bit about what you'd like to see in a game, a description of what your character might be, or a quick personal introduction if you like.
Let's get this party started. Roll initiative!
A bit more about me:
My hobbies include video games, 3D modelling, gardening, and procrastinating. I run a Patreon for 3D printable tabletop miniatures where I specialize in unusual plants and fractal artifacts. I make all sorts of crazy stuff: VR video games, fractal animations, AI assisted artworks. You can find out more about my creative projects at BrainBlinks.com.
Favorite authors: William Gibson, Frank Herbert, Brandon Sanderson
Movies I like: Anything by the Cohen Brothers, sci-fi/action or sci-fi/moody or pretty much sci-fi/anything. I even watched Ultraviolet more than once. :)
Currently in my playlist: DJ Shadow, Manhattan Transfer, Run the Jewels, Weird Al, Soul Coughing, Daft Punk, Pomplamoose, Aesop Rock
Edit: thanks to everyone who replied here and in private message. I think we have a party set for now, I'll mark this thread as closed.
Hello, I am completely new to dragons and dungeons. I would like to try it and this would be my first experience. I have no problems with the time. Although i would require some help with my character. Thank you.

Greetings and salutations,
While I have played a few sessions in dnd, I am still new to it and especially online dnd.
My time zone is UTC-05:00, 3 hours ahead of you. Would it be possible to start 3 hours before? I'm able to play on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays.
I do have a small sense of pride with humans, as such I do prefer playing a human.
new player here, yet to play the game, would love to join you
Sorry, I can't start any earlier due to other responsibilities.
I'll look for another group then. Have fun with the campaign (:
