Yeah what’s going on? The subscription page is now saying the fuzzy dice are January’s perk. Feels like some false advertising going on here guys
I just noticed that too. Was trying to figure out if I'd missed an announcement because it's so late in the month and as you say the pink fuzzy now say they're January's perk
I have an email from December saying the fuzzy dice are the December Subscriber Perk. I don’t have any email for January, just the site saying the same dice are the January perk.
This is a great example of how not to do customer relations. Subscriber perks are nice but unnecessary. However, since DDB promised them, people get upset when they don't get their monthly perks. DDB would've been better off never starting subscriber perks since they can't seem to deliver them each month.

especially since they are quite niche things - I will not use the dnd beyond dice until I can choose "randomise the numbers immediately without any animation or unnecessary screen cluttering objects", and since I hate unused empty window estate, I can barely see more than 5% of the backdrop, and even that could be easily replaced by a single colour (and I'd preferred not to load large images I'm not gonna look at anyway). As for the character frames... 70% of them so far were quite useless to me as they take up so much space and/or cover too much of the actual portrait.
Meanwhile I'm still waiting for a light theme for the mobile app cause the current dark one literally hurts my eyes...

--[ Natural 20 - that's how I roll! ]-- We've stopped this OGL madness, but stay vigilant, they tried it once, they can try it again.
It's more than that though, because at the end of the day they've advertised and charged for a service which they're now not delivering.
Does not having a bunch of animated portrait frames a big deal? No. but when you advertise an exclusive NEW perk EVERY month as part of a service people pay for. You have to deliver it.
I find it very strange how these internet services can just get away with a whole whoops our bad approach, when that wouldn't fly in the real world.
I buy one of those weekly recipe delivery services and if they're missing an ingredient I can log it and get an instant refund. Is it a big deal that a spring onion is missing? no, but they recognise that I've paid for a spring onion and they have failed to deliver it so I get money off my next order. Digital dice cost $5.99 minimum so I'll have that off next months subscription please D&D beyond.

I actually agree with that, just wanted to emphasise that what they advertised to deliver something has such a niche use (if any) currently, and now they still have to deliver it. (Arguably the dice could see use, and I know some people use it, but for me they feel too gimmicky, cause they are slower than using my own dice, and they cover the character sheet, which is the most important part of the site/app, and they block the interaction until they disappear - in the current state they are more of a hindrance disguised as a fancy gimmick than a useful feature.)
And I understand if the constant delays are because they are understaffed and need to focus on the new books, but in that case their best option would be to give a statement that the promised "you get some trinkets every month" will temporarily be changed to "you get some trinkets every now and then" due to lack of resources, and while there were several people moaning about it one time, it would be still better than constantly disgruntling people every month.
But that's just my opinion.

Yeah the worst possible thing they can do is just ignore it and repost the December blog and update the art work to say the dice are the January perk.
The FAQ even says that the perks should be available on the first Tuesday of each month.
It's crazy that they launched something in November and failed to deliver on it 2 months later. You'd think they would have had a stockpile of content before launching?

November? The thread opening post is from May 3, 2021...

Ah I've got confused because of the title of this post. That's slightly more foregivable.
You mean it's more forgivable that they actually had not 3 but 9 months to sort this out, and they haven't even updated the topic name since November like they used to? :)

Like the Gift Wrap dice 2021?

God I'm being gaslit by DnD Beyond.

I know this feeling lately.
wait so what is this month's perks?
Well it looks like we’re either getting nothing or we’re getting the fluffy dice again 😒
I thought something was up when they reposted the December blog
Guess they were too drunk at the Christmas party 😅
Calm down, no point in getting all upset over dice you probably won't use in the first place.
Yeah I guess they still got 8 days to think of something and then it starts all over again a day later.

Well when you put it like that.....
I wonder if there is something going on behind the scenes?
