For those that only have access to the 4 classes from the 2024 free rules and bought the full 2024 PHB: as stupid as it sounds, try logging out and logging back in. That did the trick for me.
I noticed my players items now have the 2024 additions -'Sap'/'Slow' etc - I thought we were going to be given an option to stay on 2014 but I don't see a toggle for that anywhere?Anyone else found it?
I don't mind trying 2024 rules on the next campaign, but when I'm already two years in and nearing the end it doesn't make much sense to switch right now...
I don't know if this is the right place to post bugs with the character builder here, but I will anyways. When making a sorcerer for example and leveling to level 4, the feats that have a prerequisite of Spellcasting or Pact Magic are not showing up at all. I believe that it just isn't recognizing the spellcasting feature yet is all but I figured I would get the heads up out there. ALSO the new cantrip Sorcerous Burst requires an attack roll and the option to roll one is not present (another tidbit that is less important). I also noticed a built-in option to roll on the wild magic surge table, but it just rolls 2d10 instead 1d100. If someone could direct me where to post these findings instead please help a guy out lol
The site maintenance has been delayed because of the mostly unreasonable outcry that forced Beyond to greatly increase their workload for a loud minority of players. The site will be worse for the new players because of it, but at least there is nothing to rage about any more. That is, until the next mostly PR fumble and loud minority rage and ruin.
Wow, I couldn't disagree more! The impact should not be much more than the EXISTING Legacy support they have today. I've worked in IT as developer and system admin for almost 40 years now and maintenance delays are commonplace. Unlike you, it seems that DDB believed that the loud minority rage had a point.
It was a minority of players for sure and you have no evidence one way or another as to how complicated the change was to implement. I don't know why people keep pretending like they do.

This is likely something that was missed in the rush to accommodate the roll-out, hopefully this gets fixed as much as it can be ignored I'd rather not be having it on my 2014 character sheets too.
Sigh 😕 I was hoping to move to the 2024 rules and spells for all my PCs and Homebrew Monsters, but Artificer is stuck with 2014 spells and my home brew all has 2014 spells... not sure if I'm missing something?

probably caused by the rollback of keeping the 2014 spells linked instead of going 2024 for all. Have to wait for further updates. Many bugs right now. Hopefully fixed until the real release day.
Yea, I'm a patient person. I was hoping turning 2014 stuff off would be easy. I really don't want to jave to update all my homebrew.... thanks!
contrary to what many upset people seemed to think, changing digital code to something completely different then what was planned is not easy or fast, and bound to have many bugs. I blame the outrage mob on all the current issues.
Minority for sure? Can you site numbers and sources? The evidence of how simple the change was is the speed of which it was implemented. In my almost 40 years of software development, I can attest that hard redesign and redevelopment takes more time to perform and test than what we experienced.

Yea, I'm not an IT guy, but in my job I'm often the one that the IT guys hate because I want them to change the system to do something that I think is relatively simple. Then they do their best to explain to me why the system can't do that... lol.
I am happy that DnDB is trying to make qaccomidate everyone, but I am certain that no one talked to the actual programmers when they made that last minute change on a Sunday.
Seems like the announcement was made. Then the forum mods noticed people were upset and talked to their higher ups that weekend. The higher ups decided to change it that Sunday. Finally the tech guys should up on Monday and uave been scrabbled since.
I don't think blaming anyone, whether the players that were upset or WoTC/Hasbro, is particularly helpful though. That dosen't really solve the issue at hand.
From my foxhole 2024 is the way to go. And if the site can't accommodate both sets of tooltips then out with the old in with the new. However, I hope that everyone can be taken care of.

^ ^ ^ literally, blaming people will do absolutely nothing. If you want to help, report bugs, (though they have probably already been reported) and maybe make suggestions. But being rude, as not all forum users have had the best attitudes, and blaming people, no matter who, will not accomplish ANYTHING.

Simple fix! Wish we knew this in the beginning! Thanks much!
Worked for me, thank you very much ^_^

Really? I blame WOTC leadership for making a string of bad decisions and for not giving the DDB devs enough time to make and test the needed changes.
