From what I have seen and experienced .....<SNIP>.... to continue to be a customer of D&D Beyond, and buy new products. I'll take BadEye at his word, and look forward to all that they've got planned for 2019.
I seem to have misplaced my "UpVote" button. <EDIT> And I found it! </EDIT>
From a european perspective I personal find it very interesting how concerned some folks - especially european folks - are about giving data to Fandom. Ok, Fandom has not the best reputation and you surely can be concerned about possible negativ influence in the future - I get it. But non of these folks had a problem giving personal data to AMAZON. Do you get the joke...

I think it's a worry about how it will negatively impact the site (tons of ads, crappy design, etc) rather than who has the data. I'd hate it if, after spending hundreds of dollars on all the D&D books, another company comes in and makes it so that utilizing those books is a crappy experience.
Is there a way I can check if I haved opted in successfully? I am from Europe and I am sure that I clicked on the link in the Email, but I still received a reminder today. Now I opted in a second time and I would like to be sure that everything is alright.

Is there a way?
The first email messages that were sent last week contained a link error on some of the batch, and so we will see some redundancies to ensure over-communication (we obviously want to make sure folks can keep their account in normal status with as little hassle as possible).
From this point, another email is scheduled to send the first week of January. If you do not receive a message by then, you are all set. If you are NOT located in Europe, there is no action needed on your account - the notification is informational only.
You can also contact our support team to individually request your opt-in status here.
Basically, if they're going to try and monetize my usage of the DnDBeyond after I've already spent my money here, then that's unethical, as I've already been monetized by purchasing books here.

Which has been precisely my point and why the ads experience will remain completely unchanged.

I look forward to you being proven correct. :)
I do have to say that I enjoy having all the D&D information at my fingertips in an easily searchable format that works on my phone, tablet, laptop, and PC without any ads. I'm glad you guys teamed up with Critical Role or I might have stayed with (a competitor with whom I have a large financial investment in Pathfinder) for D&D--but this is much better in a lot of ways. There are some things they do a bit better, but I think most of that is on the roadmap.
I don't know the particulars of the mergers and how it impacts your development budget, so I will just hope that your budget increases and more developers are able to be found so that the roadmap can go from school zone to open highway. :)
got a second email today, and the link is still not functioning, any suggestions on how to resolve this issue will be greatly appreciated as I'd like to still use all my purchased source material.
Is there a way to consent without having to click the link in one of the like 5 e-mails i got by now? As a general safety rule i don't ever click on links in e-mails. I know they are probably real but the url looks a bit wierd and i already clickt the "ok" button on the webside popup. Maybe just send a notification on the webside itself, you know, that little bell icon at the top? Then put the link in there.
Hello, I sadly didn't know nor get an email about this happening, and sadly I can't do anything with it besides looking at my characters and the data version of most if not all the D&D stuff. I scared, and only found out today that my username was changed to something else! I'm now in a panic, and I don't know if it's already too late to transfer my stuff. Can anyone help me, or is my last option to delete this account and lose everything...?
PS: my username before the change was jiayuehoneyjade
I'm a very open-minded young woman, who would love to learn new ways to play, mostly in tabletop roleplaying games, and character making. I hope you to get a chance to play with other players who play D&D and more. I also a creative person when it comes to drawing my own characters (an maybe others if possible) as a hobby, along with singing and maybe a bit of VA too. I hope I could try and have fun with every possible campaign that I may join, so, shall we roll the dice?

For users in the European Economic Area, your account could have been deleted during D&D Beyond's transition to Fandom if you did not previously opt in for the transfer of your data. If this is the case, you will receive a free nickname change credit at the end of the deletion process (ETA < 2 hours). With that, you can change your nickname to whatever you desire and all of your posts, comments, etc. will be maintained.

I would recommend sending a support ticket if you are able to.

No need to submit a ticket - a nickname credit will be applied to the account shortly.
The only thing that has happened at this time is the account has been obscured in the data transfer - all of the "stuff" is still there and available.
Well sadly, again I didn't get an email about it, and I'm still trying due to this. So sadly I didn't opt in as you say... but what can I do now? I can still get onto my character sheets and such, but my actual profile I still can't get into. I'm just worried, that I can't do any editing due to this, plus it is linked up to my twitch account too. So what're my choices if I didn't get the email and wait for the deletion process? Also, this is all new to me...

since I was on DnD beyond? Yes because I left it for a bit, sometimes I come on to check my character sheets and such. I signed in like normal with my twitch account and sadly I was greeted by some errors which I linked on Twitter: Here https://twitter.com/KatieHoneyjade/status/1084092533758660608.
This was only just yesterday that my account was different, I don't even know if I got an email beforehand or deleted without realising it in my emails.

How do you know that they had no problem giving their data to Amazon?
Altrazin Aghanes - Wizard/Fighter
Varpulis Windhowl - Fighter
Skolson Demjon - Cleric/Fighter

Isnt there a support email. The data was being held for a while so it should be easy to get help yo wake up the data.
