Davidnods along with everyone else's thoughts and comments,
"I agree, stealing it is going to be the most impactful option, and I do really want to impactDron."
Davidsmacks his large fist into his other hand, but the sound is of metal on metal and not the expected flesh on flesh.
"I got something that might help, well more of a second hand story about a device that might help."
"Back a few years ago, I met this visiting artificer named Klark, he was here for our annual celebration. Anyway, we got talking and he tells me about a device he swears he saw with his own two eyes, well eventually saw. He said the device was called an S.E.P field generator. S.E.P stands for Somebody Else's Problem, I know, strange name, sounds like a joke, but he swore it was real. Anyway the device generates a magic super-invisibility field, except that the item isn't actually invisible, it just makes people refuse to see it. It taps into a part of peoples minds, that strongly wants to avoid seeing or even acknowledging the existence of, anything they don't want to have to deal with...hence, somebody else's problem."
"Now I don't have any designs for building one, but I did talk to Klark extensively about the device and how it works. I think, if we want to pursue something like this, I might be able to design and build one. But, it is likely to need a lot of strange and possibly hard to acquire parts, so take that into consideration."
Davidleans back in his chair stretching his arms above his head, before relaxing back again.
Vansic nods at Phineas. "The only person who enters the mausoleum is Dron. If we emptied the contents of the crypt, he is the only one that would ever know. If we can convince the world the entire thing has been stolen, then I can set up his public humiliation."
To David he says, "Well, that's an interesting idea. I've never heard of it. I would want to see a demonstration if we were to try that route."
He turns to the others. "What do you think? Make it seem to disappear or actually move the damned thing? Once we decide, I'll set you on your first assignment."
"I think using this device might give us time to do the rest of what we need." Savra says with a nod. "I still think actually taking the thing would be the best option though, so making sure this device won't affect us, while we work, would be important." She considers things as she runs a hand over her lute case. "I've heard of some magic that might aid us in actually moving the thing. There is a spell, that I am not quite experienced enough to cast as of yet, that allows for animating objects. I worry the building might be too large for that, but I have also heard that some spellcasters can shrink things with magic." She looks around the room. "If we could shrink the building, then animate it, we could fly it to wherever we wish to put it. With that magical device keeping people from watching us, it would be as if the building just disappeared without a trace."
"Yes, I have also seen such magic before and I agree, using the device to hide our work, as we move the structure, was my thoughts as well."
Turning back to Vansic, David continues.
"I can try putting together a prototype if you like. At an educated guess, without the needed components to make a building sized field, I might be able to generate a field that could affect an area about half a foot in diameter? Not enough to hide the device itself, but enough for a proof of concept."
David turns back to Savra.
"And don't worry about the field effecting us, there are devices that go with the design, that can neutralise the effect of the field, for those who are wearing them."
"Okay, I can work with this," Vansic says with a pensive look on his face. "David, get me a list of what you will need for a prototype. Before we begin on anything else, though, we have one more thing to work out. Our patron has requested a sixth person for the team, someone that she knows personally besides me."
The tiefling sighs, rolling his eyes a bit, but then shrugs. "She doesn't know you, so I get it. She has given me three names. We need to scout them out and choose one to invite. You'll start with Barley Bokes. He works as an enforcer at Raven Hill."
This is the town's arena at the intersection of the West and Old Districts. It is a major feature of the town and home to regular games, such as racing and non-lethal combat matches, as well as concerts and plays. Everyone here has been there at one point or another for some event.
"Do not invite him to join us or inform him of our plans. This is strictly a chance to...interview...him for his potential," Vansic says. "Once you have a sense of the man, find me here and I will point you to the next potential candidate. This is a chance to familiarize yourselves with each other, so don't waste the opportunity."
With that, the tiefling claps his hands and stands up. "Help yourself to more food. And if you have questions, ask them now."
David nods at Vansic's request for info and once he has finished giving the group their first task, David responds.
"Give me a night to work up a rough design and I'll get you the list of materials for the prototype."
David looks around the club, before asking.
"You have anywhere I can work? I'm currently without a workshop and I'm not sure you want me working on anything for our endeavour, out in the open at my market stall or at the inn where I'm currently staying. Any back rooms where I can set up? Maybe a corner in a storage room?"
Savra has no more questions. She settles down to eat some more of the food. Then she would head out, wishing to see if she could do some scouting of this other they are suppose to be 'interviewing'.
Phineas chirped with excitement as David described the design of the prototype. His mind raced at the thought of Dron being humiliated for the whole city to see. “Very well!” he raised his glass to the rest of the group, “To the reviled Don Dron, may we all live long enough to see his good fortune abandon him!” He finishes the drink and slams the glass down on the table.
”Now then, off to the arena? I do confess it’s been sometime since I’ve heard the roar of that crowd. I used to wager my hard earned coin on those bouts in my younger days, but had to pull back after a nasty scrap with a debt collector... ah but this was years ago, it will be fun to see the old place.”

Daviddowns his own drink, wiping any overflow that dribbled into his beard. At Phineas' talk of the arena Davidremarks.
"Ha! You should try being in the area! The artificers of Gond have put on mock battles in the past and I got to participated in one of them."
Davidgrins broadly.
"You ever play tag as a child? We did something like that, but with magic. We put limiters on our magical weapons and wore target sensors. If you hit someone, their sensor would light up and they would loose a point. Got to test out my armour design, was very...informative."
"Could this SEP device be tailored to only affect a *single* person?" Jafar asks? "Could be fun to make it so the Don is asking what the hell happened to his mausoleum while everyone else is wondering what the hell he's talking about."
David strokes his beard as he contemplates Jafar's question.
"Hhmm...yeah, I think so. Heh, would be fun to watch him stumble around his own mausoleum, trying desperately to find it. But if we did that, any of his, minions, could just walk in a destroy the device. The thing isn't going to be easy to hide if others can still see it. Nice idea though, might work if the device was much smaller, maybe something you could wear for example. But my best guess is we are looking at, at least two to three feet wide and maybe five to six feet long. Better if we can keep everyone from seeing it."
David gives a hard look as he continues.
"Besides, I want Dron to suffer the humiliation of having everyone know he was robbed, and their was nothing he could do about it."
David's expression change back to one of contemplation.
"Although, I wouldn't say no to some psychological torture to go along with the humiliation. You lot seem to have the skills to pull off that kind of play. I wouldn't say no to helping in any way I can, if you wanted to add that to our strategy for revenge."
"I'm all for some psychological torture," Jafar says. "Illusions can do many things in that vein. Make it look like someone has defaced the mausoleum for instance. Or started building another structure in front of it or blocking it. I could make it look like someone broke IN to the mausoleum and scattered the remains of his family around. Or heck, make it look like those bodies are up and walking..."
"Yeah, that sounds good to me. Even better if Dron is the only one to see it, make him look like a mad man."
David pops another morsel of food in his mouth, but doesn't stop talking.
"So, back to this guy at the arena, when do we want to go meet him? or do we even want to all go at the same time? We're supposed to be sizing him up right? Does anyone have any ideas about how we're going to do that? Maybe we can test him somehow, see how he reacts? I don't know, if I was testing him at the temple, I'd give him some tools and materials and say "Make me something", but that's not what we want him for, is it? What do you think?"
The group walk and talk, deciding on what their plan will be. The arena is in the northwest part of the city, high on Raven Hill. There does happen to be an event going on already, as it happens. The banners advertising the event on the streetlamp posts around Raven Hill indicate it is an opera. The first of their problems, as they climb Raven Hill, appears to be picking out Barley Bokes from the roughly one dozen enforcers milling about the outside of the arena...if he even works the outside of the venue...
I believe Savra already left, but let me know if that is not the case.
(Since Savra ate for a bit first, I figured that it was simpler if everyone left at around the same time. Doesn't have to be that way. Just how I saw it.)
As the group walks to their destination, Davidreaches up to his chest and appears to be pantomiming tinkering with something on his chest. After a brief moment, his appearance shimmers and changes, from his slightly more dressed up appearance, to one of a more casual nature.
"Always feels strange to be dressed up when walking about the city."
When the group gets to Raven Hill Davidtakes in the sights, taking note of the ongoing event and the enforcers, frowning as he does.
"How in the nine hells are we supposed to find this...whats'is name, anyway?!"
Davidis looking like he might just walk up and start asking around for Barley Bokes, unless someone talks some sense into him.
I believe Savra already left, but let me know if that is not the case.
(Since Savra ate for a bit first, I figured that it was simpler if everyone left at around the same time. Doesn't have to be that way. Just how I saw it.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Savra waves to the others, indicating they should hold back. She then strides purposefully up to the enforcers...
"Which of you are Barley?" She snaps as she slams a hand down on a counter or against a wall or something else to make a loud slapping sound. She glares around at the enforcers. "I have an apprentice who is weeping back in my room, and this Barley is suppose to be the reason for it. I want some explanations..."
Phineaswalks briskly to the arena with his companions. His head bobs with excitement as he takes in the sights, his heart starts pounding as they hear the roar of the crowd, his eyes linger for a moment on the wagers being placed and money changing hands before he quickly averts his gaze.
As the approach the enforcers, Phineaswill put his feathered hand lightly on David's shoulder and subtly nod his head towards Savra. He takes up a position behind her and does his best to look meanacing as she makes her demands.
