Keller tries to count the number of hops, and signals to the others, checking their hiding spots to ensure they won't be easily seen, updating them on the plan. He confirms with Quickfingers that the group that's coming will be large, and if he can, he should stay safe in the house to avoid any hostage situation. Keep Vrin and the rabble outside.
Telepathically, to Ethan, he sends: "Red just arrived. Vrin is bringing plenty of friends to dance. We'll have more partners than we can handle. But we can handle. I've asked Quickfingers to remain inside. Don't want Vrin grabbing him or his messenger, who's back here now. We'll plan to hit them from as many sides as possible, in the courtyard. Scare off the locals, with any luck, and finish off Vrin and his close friends who stay and fight."
As he settles in his hiding spot, which I assume is the roof or the cart (which would be more feasible?), he messages telepathically the others he's connected to: "Quickfingers should stay inside, and with any luck, we can hit them from all sides, surrounded in the courtyard. Anyone who can hit an area, now's the time to do so, centered on Vrin. Remember what he looks like -- I got that image from Quickfingers earlier, so you should recognize him, and his friends should be dressed mostly the same. They're the main targets. I'll chime on this line in when it's time to strike. If you're sleeping, well, you'll wake up when the cacophony starts."
He checks his crossbows one last time. Then he sits. And waits. And watches.
Red was trying to stay out of sight, but you get the sense that they are certain of fifteen or so, after that their hops get a bit more hesitant. They fly down and land on the edge of the wagon, hopping up and down there, scratching at it with their beak.
"Double-time now." Ethan says to the group with him, pressing for all speed as they head back. he responds through the mental link. "We are coming as fast as we can, hold position for now. Report back when the enemy arrives."
Those of you at the villa spot a cloud of dust that resolves itself into a pack of riders on horses, surrounding a carriage. They slow as they near the southwestern gate, a few riders dismounting to throw it open, check in and around the tool shed, and the party begins moving up the path to the villa, a few riding out between rows of the vineyard to scout for anything untoward.
At the top of the hill the four of you that remained behind with Quickfingers and his bodyguard hold yourselves ready. Verne is currently not being a very convincing cat, just really isn't capturing that aloof air.
((Let me know if you want to be otherwise positioned, I've got Bryn in the south wing looking out onto the courtyard from upstairs, Randy the squirrel's in a tree nearby, Verne's in the wagon as a cat, and Patter and Red are on the far side of the roof peak of the western building. I know it's small and kinda blurry, but if you right click and open in a new tab, you should be able to zoom. Are you going to let them ride into the courtyard? Going to wait for them to dismount? Wait till you have eyes on Vrin?))

Black picks up the pace, and you soon encounter one of the staff, who when asked, informs you that you're close to the entrance, it's only a minute or so distant.

((It's 10 rounds of normal walking, so 300 ft away. We're on a loose turn order until something pops off, presuming everyone is dashing, given the alert, you will arrive on the scene in 5 rounds, though I think Salkur, mounted on Black, could get there a turn earlier with the 40 ft move speed.))
The outriders continue riding through the vines, fanning out.

Ill dash for three rounds at least, would I be able to use a ranged attack than, or will there be a door that is closed; if the latter then 4 rounds of dashing, if it is open I might go for a ranged attack that round (if an enemy is in my sight of course)

Three rounds of dashing gets you 240/300, fourth round gets you to the exit of the tunnel (base of the ramp leading up at the north side of that building), which a staff member would swing wide for you. From there, you'd be headed up the ramp to the closed 'barn doors', which are not latched and Black would be able to shoulder open. He'd have 20 ft of movement left after exiting the building, and Salkur would have his action/bonus action/movement he could still use.
So you could arrive on the scene in 4 turns, while everyone else will arrive in 5, and not be able to really move beyond the building yet.
Keller's fine on the roof. When he sees the dust cloud, he messages Ethan, and those in hiding to let them know they've arrived, and they're fanning out through the vineyard. He begins calibrating shots and waits until the group gets into the courtyard. He'll check in every 30 seconds or so with the ambush group. Eventually he tries to pick out Vrin from the group.

"They are there." Ethan huffs as he continues to move as fast as possible. Responding through the mental connection... "Spreading out?" He asks a little surprised. "Likely making sure we are all gone I expect." He pauses a moment considering. "Can you hold them off or do you feel we should let them enter the villa? Your call, as you are on site and I am not."
Verne-cat spies the goons spreading out through the vineyard long before they can see the small tabby cat that's curled up on the wagon seat. As they get closer he stands, stretches and turns a circle. All quite clumsily, but in the best cat impersonation he can muster. He lays back down again and begins licking his paw.
If any goon was quick enough and looking right at him, they may have noticed a brown and white cat with a blue tail, as if it had fallen into a vat of blueberry juice.
Keller replies telepathically: “we can let them sweep through the vineyard and close on the courtyard. No rush to start the fire. Allow them to feel secure that we are gone. And then boom. We are not gone.”
He continues calibrating shots and waiting and looking for Vrin and his baddies.
Keller, those sweeping the vineyard to the southwest of you, should they round the building you're on, would have a pretty easy job of spotting you pressed against the north side of the roof...

BB huffs it at full dash to the entrance along with the others, and if he gets there before things kick off, will pause there listening and awaiting orders to move.

Is there a window Keller can access from the roof? Inch his way flat over the side, hang from the edge, and swing feet-first into?
Actually, what Keller does, as he sees people begin to spread out that far, is cast silent image to create a dormer window with a gabled roof on himself. (Had to do a web search to find the term for what I meant, but essentially it's the triangular peaked rooftiled surface, and then a small window on the wall side, the seamlessly meeting the rest of the roof.) He moves maybe a pace or two to the east, to give himself a bit more of a better view of the courtyard. My understanding of the spell is that the caster can see through the illusion, so it doesn't block Keller's view of things, but he knows where it is, and he can stay inside it intelligently enough not to poke his head out accidentally. The peak of the gable is flat relative to the house, so for everyone coming toward the house, they shouldn't see anything change at all. But when the outriders do get to the other side of the house, and look back at it, they shouldn't see anything of Keller, just this roof feature. Let me know if this is not feasible, and if I should roll a wild magic d20!
Keller, Verne, Bryn and Randy, you see the carriage halt at the Y in the road, as the riders continue sweeping through the vineyards, converging on the courtyard.
Keller, you know that Salkur should be arriving on scene soon, with the others close behind, but presuming Vrin is within the carriage, he seems to be cautious, and is letting his men sweep for any surprises. You also know that your position is rather exposed from the back, within the next few seconds there's a chance some of the outriders might circle the building you're on, and if they look up, you'll be rather obviously sprawled out on the roof. What do you do?
