“Birdie” will wear his knit Monmouth cap over the blue bandana. Both to protect it and to conceal it from covetous eyes.

He would love to use the downtime to become more proficient with the automatic pistol but knows the focus should be on the upgrades to the ‘Skipping Stone’ and repair of the construct rather than the creation of practice ammo.

Otherwise, he’s ready to continue.

You have plenty of time. Make a DEX check to manufacture ammo with the materials you have.

 In the 13 days of downtime, you manufacture 23 bullets per day. Add 299 bullets to your inventory. 

As “Birdie” is creating these modern bullets, he will realize that there will be too many to be carried. He will search The Temptress and The Skipping Stone to repurpose a chest to be used as an ammo box. Perhaps two small chests, one to be kept on each ship. He will also learn that only he and Captain Ceesh currently have firearms that utilize these bullets so he will secure a couple of very small cases or pouches to be personally carried containing ammunition for reloads.

At the end of 13 days:

Captain Ceesh will have a case/pouch with 12 rounds of modern bullets for reloading his 6 round revolver (already loaded with 6 rounds).

”Birdie” will have a slightly larger case/pouch with 30 rounds of modern bullets for reloading his 15 round automatic pistol (already loaded with 15 rounds).

Each ship, in their holds, will have ammo boxes with 130 rounds each for future reloads. (This accounts for about a dozen rounds being discharged over the days in testing of the daily batches between both guns.)

“‘Ere Cap’n” “Birdie” will say as he offers the small case/pouch with a dozen bullets to Captain Ceesh. “For yer person or to keep in yer cabin for quick reloads o’ yer gun.”

"Thank ye Birdie, very useful. Now, I need to fix up this big guy here," Ceesh says, turning to his new toy. (What kind of check do I need to make to fix up the Shield Guardian?)
