Evre smiles and says “I only judge people by their abilities and their motivations. I like you so far, Dernis! I just wonder if this little inn is big enough for private rooms for all of us. I can sleep on the floor in my bedroll, I don’t take up much space. The north is too full of dangers outside for us to fight among ourselves.”
Kralog snorts. "If there was a fight, he would die. But I'll let him live for now."

The pitter-patter of rain can be heard falling outside as the innkeeper comes over and mildly explains, "I am afraid the good lady is right," the innkeeper nods his head toward Evre, "I have already promised the best room to Dera for as long as she'll stay and play for us. You'll all have to share the remaining rooms, they each have 2 beds. And if any don't mind they are free to hunker down here in the common room. Just push some chairs together or something, whatever it takes to make yourselves comfortable. Just don't break anything, please."
Dera also overhears talk of staying for the night and offers to share her room, "My room is quite large and it seems silly to keep it all to myself. If any want to share it is also quite warm and I have two windows." Dera finishes, sounding quite proud of the room. It's obvious to all that she takes it as a measure of how good a bard she is.
As talk starts up about rooms Vaden reaches into his pocket, fingering the key he already had here, having been here for a few nights already. he chuckles softly to himself as he sips another bit of wine. He pulls his hand back out of his pocket and lifts the book from his table, going back to some reading. As he does so a small spectral figure appears, taking a seat atop the table and continuing to watch the room as a whole. The spectral figure looks like a tiny human in ancient wizardly robes. It more hovers an inch above the table than sits upon it.

I am a quiet sleeper , so I have been told.” she approaches vadens table. “I was curious what you are reading there? I’m somewhat of a scholar myself. My name is Evre.- and who’s this?” (Looking at the small wizardly figure) She gives a friendly smile.

"Well met Evre." Vaden says with a nod. He glances to the book and then lifts it so the spine can be read. The spine is in elvish and looks quite old. In common it would translate to 'Chronology of House Diamondew.' "Just a book about some elfs that used to live in this area." Vaden would explain as Evre reads the title of the book. "As for my friend..." He glances to the spectral figure. "That is just my spellbook." He shrugs. "Nothing to be overly concerned about."

I dabble in the arcane a little myself. Seems we have much in common, Vaden. What brings you this far North ?” She smiles, grey eyes twinkling.
(OOC: Not sure if this is an option, but can we stop quoting what everyone says? It means having to read through multiple things multiple times. If not an option, then that is ok, but wanted to at least ask.)
Vaden smiles up at Evre and nods to a chair at his table. "For me, history." he says, again nodding towards his book. he closes it, setting it aside, as he turns to the woman. "What brings a fair maiden like yourself to these parts?"
(OOC: Sorry, I'm just trying to make sure people know who I'm replying to.)

(Yes, I have noticed that some people's posts seem to overuse quotes, with quotes within quotes, and it can be extremely redundant and unnecessary.)
(Let's all try to limit our quotes. There are ways to refer to a conversation without just reposting a quote that itself is full of quotes. Perhaps if we only quote occasionally and stop quoting a post that has a quote in it already. That way we will get more posts without quotes or with only one in them.)
(Sometimes we get carried away quoting and forget to put more into our posts, just adding a line at the bottom. So far I think the roleplay is going pretty well with everyone getting to know each other. After this first night at the inn the game will begin to branch off in different directions. Feel free to explore any... all... some... or none of them as you feel they may or may not interest your character.)

Vaden smiles as Evre speaks of history and their types not being so interesting as the others around this chamber. "I am Vaden Thorne." he introduces himself. "What specificly are you here seeking history of?" Vaden asks the woman as she takes a seat at his table. "For me it is the House of Diamonddew. They use to dwel in this region, many thousands of years ago." As he speaks he glances up to those speaking of seeking knowledge to break some curse. he does not respond though, as it would be rude to break off his current conversation to take up another.
