Zera helps Floon to his feet and says to him. ” There’s a room beyond here with a gateway and three doors- do you know anything about it? Who was that mind flayer?”
Friar Xavier quietly thanks Veil as she shows him how to better place his ear to the door. He says quietly, "Ahhh thank you! That is much better... not used to listening at doors made of sewer wood... they seem to sound much different."
Friar Xavier offers up a prayer of thanksgiving to Ilmater when he realizes that Floon is going to be okay if the adventuring party can get him out of here.
He begins the ritual ((assuming the others are doing other things in the meantime - like tying up the half-orc)).
When the ritual is over, not wanting to waste the duration of the spell, he will simply say, "By Ilmater's light, I see the half-orc had some magical items in his satchel, in case anyone wants to check it out."
He then proceeds to walk the perimeter of the room and adjoining rooms (but not where the Mind Flayer went or where we came from) in an effort to extend the radius of his search for any magical items - particularly anything which could help heal Floon.
You find some rooms ajoining rooms each look the same with a straw mattress and manacles on the wall and you find nomore magic
