Race/ background: variant human sage wizard (order of scribes if ok)
motivation to kill Ixarus: knowledge of history
Crissoph is a middle-aged human - an eccentric scholarly type, who has grown very disturbed by the “Mad God’s” machinations- (as he secretly refers to the Absolute) the insanity he has driven the world to.
A sage and scholar of history and religion of some repute, who teaches at university in Belorion’s capital city, he appears as a bit of a doddering Fool- incompetent in all but scholarly pursuits and woefully unprepared for the real world. He gets lost in his own university, misplaces his notes, frequently is zoned out and not paying attention, and seems to be very clumsy and hard of hearing. Despite this carefully constructed false persona- he secretly has been developing his magical skills and researching hidden arcana for years with one, insane, goal- find a way to forever end the tyranny of Ixarus. Well aware of the fear of wizards and arcane magic- not even his closest companions have any idea he is an accomplished wizard. (Skilled in deception, has occasionally used modify memory spells to cover up when he’s been discovered, uses invisibility when needed, etc)
he has a pet grey striped cat named Mr. Tabs (actually a familiar, which helps with watching to protect his cover story)

Name - Anaskyrath Osenn Race - Human variant Class - Assassin 3/ Undead Warlock 8 Backstory - What better place for a spy to hide than in midst of the enemy's numbers? Ana is a spy for the inquisition but in reality is a double agent, paying lip service to Ixarus but actually serving her patron, an undead lich. The lich had witnessed the deaths of the other gods and it gave him an idea - if the other gods could be slain, why not Ixarus as well? Afterwards, in this could be accomplished, he would be sure to step in to fill the power vacuum. Motivation for wanting to kill Ixarus - Unlike many warlocks, Ana is an enthusiastic servant of the lich, who values her talents and rewards her lavishly with power, knowledge and wealth. Since her master wishes to remove Ixarus, she will put all her efforts toward making that happen.

Now, our story begins in a small little town... Not too big, and certainly not big enough to have an official name. The people however, call this place "The Pot", due to the main source of economy being underground gambling clubs, and hells, a LOT of money was being made. But one day... a young man walks through the empty and quiet streets, hoping he can make a name for himself by going to The Basement, an underground casino where all the action and livelihood was too be found. His family was poor, and desperate, as they had used all their funds to gain knowledge of where the entrance to The Basement was... and so, they sent their only son, himself, down to gamble amongst thieves, scoundrels, and degenerates. The son then won... and won... and won some more, until someone noticed him; a man called The Boss, who ran the whole thing. The son met him, and it turned out The Boss wasn't a man... but a fiend. The Gambler Black. The Gambler asked the son what he would be willing to sacrifice for his blessing. The son, in his naiveness, said "Anything..." And thus the deal was struck, and a new hand of cards, infused with the power of Fate, was dealt to Barry Wright, or as he was called there... Odds. A set of black dice were placed in his hand, and as Odds clenched them, he felt a connection had been severed. His father and mother... paid the deathly price for Odds' new power. After all... the son said "anything".
Motivation for Wanting to Kill Ixarus: The Gambler Black knows Fate well... and if Odds, his most treasured warlock, doesn't get rid of Ixarus, this pestilence... The Gambler's odds won't be in his favor.

Name - Hadi Benotto Race - High Elf Class - Wizard Backstory - Hadi's family could trace their lineage back almost to the Divine War, and they are sure their family was of import before then, but many records were lost; but for a family of High Elves, tracking their history over a few millennia is a interesting pursuit. Hadi had been pushed to study hard as a child in the arcane sciences, as all first born males in the Family were, though found himself bored of it, often asking himself what the point of it all was. After making little headway at getting Hadi to study, on his 150th year, his parents decided to send him away to a on 'cabin' that the family had secluded in the mountains. It was rarely used, though they had servants go up once a year to keep things tidy of course. At first Hadi was not enjoying his seclusion at all. There were none of his friends, or any of the entertainments of the city life to which he'd grown accustomed. Until one day, bored out of his mind, he decided to go into the library and see what there was to read. If he was stuck here to 'study', perhaps he could finally start, he thought to himself. A book with a silver, almost iridescent binding, attracted his attention, and sitting down to read it, didn't get up again until the sun rose the next morning. He'd found it! an arcane science related to sword play! Something kept from his family for generations! And what's more... the book itself was old. Old beyond reasoning. Though magically still in pristine condition. There more he read, the more he realized it had been written before the War! There were still mentions to the 'gods,' plural! And even mentions of the last bladesinger. His great great... grandfather. Struck down by Ixarus Himself! Hadi vowed then and there, to study the arcane, and the blade, and return to claim his grandfather's honor. Motivation for wanting to kill Ixarus - ((see last sentence above~))
other than starting at level 11... how does gear work? And, as a wizard, might he have found/bought any additional spells along the way?

Are these creatures capable of both bonds as warlocks OR clerics?
Clive Roughbeam - Human v - Paladin (devotion) - Folk Hero
Clive lived in a village near the Saline Coast where the Confederacy has invaded. He believed his time had come, defending his home against the invaders. He prayed to Ixxarus for answers and salvation, but his prayers fell on deaf ears. So he began to make promises to the air, swearing in hidden glades of the wood by calm pools that he would be a shield for all his people if only he had the strength. He was never sure if this was connected, but he saw a unicorn that night...
Strength came to him. Again, and again, it came every time the Coast needed to beat back enemy scouts or landing parties. Often, he and his neighbors were forced to retreat inland, but still his strength never failed to protect life.
His people were brought to a protected valley. From there, time finally slowed enough for him to realize his hate for Ixxarus, who refused to stand for them. He tried to stir up his neighbors to the same ideal, but... they saw magic. And when they needed it, they said nothing, but now? Now they were afraid.
Clive was forced to leave, although he doesn’t blame them. He has to keep his goal in mind. So now he travels, helping who he can - however ungrateful. And keeping an eye out for help to arrive.
Name - Gus Broom Race - Hill Dwarf Class - Barbarian Backstory - still a bit to be fleshed out but here it is so far...
Raised in the lush forests and rolling hills and valleys, Gus was raised by his parents run free and eschew the mental chains that bind most mortals in the land. The earth itself was his muse - it's animals, it's rocks, it's cruelty and beauty - these were the things that mattered, not some babble about the "absolute" or some such nonsense. His parents were different and connected to the earth in a way that didn't come as easily to him. They could speak to the birds, laugh with the deer, and joke with the wolves. All that Gus seemed to be good at was cleaning! Everyday after another failed training session, his pa would say, "Gus," and hold out the broom towards him.
One day on the way into town, his family stopped to help a group of travelers - merchants by the looks of their dress - who were being attacked by a bear. Without a thought, Gus' father and mother hopped down off the cart and began doing weird passes in the air with teir hands. They were able to calm the beast and send it off back into the forests. But the damage was done - people saw them calm the beast down somehow. Saving a life never proved so costly, as the ones they just saved were happy enough to run fearfully to the next town, where the guard was waiting. Luckily, Gus' parents know better than to bring Gus to market the rest of the way, and hid him on a cottage outside of the village. Gus' parents were put in the stockade.
Creeping into the village in the evening, Gus talked to his parents without drawing the attention of the guards. This would be the last time he would speak with them both as an investigator came out in the morning, asked a few questions of his mother and father before slitting both their throats - big., smiling gashes that just wouldn't stop bleeding. SOmething broke inside of Gus and he could only see red. Thankfully, a older, half-naked giant of a human held him back before he went and did something stupid. Gus vowed to destroy this sect of cowards and close-minded killers, regardless of the cost.
His savour that day taught him many things, most importantly, how to channel his anger and rage into something more manageable. Gus left after a while, roaming the forests and countryside, killing any and all who were part of his parents murder - and anyone else who proclaimed special right to rule over another person. Motivation for wanting to kill Ixarus - Gods, deities, demi-gods, demons - bah! Different words for the same old thing: chains and horse manure! If it's not Ixarus, it's some other limp-wristed lacky looking down their nose at everyone else! The only real thing in this world is the riddle of steel, and I am to use it with prejudice against them what think they deserve to rule.
lots of good applications! Tip for finding good players- look at their posting history, the quality, frequency of posts, rather than just the quality of their applications. :) That helps prevent the "Ghosting" syndrome that is such an issue on these forums.
Name - Mordechai Pippin Race - Tiefling Class - Cleric (Light) Backstory - (short or as long as you want) - Mordechai grew up in a family on the run. As some of the last keepers of the light they flitted from village to village, encouraging a guiding when they arrived before disappearing into the wilderness once again. However tieflings do not blend and their are only so many places to go. His family caught and taken as heretics, Mordechai was only able to hide and listen to young to do anything. From then on he followed the strange urge in his head, leading him to safe places, always one step ahead of danger. Eventually the urge led him to an old set of ruins where he met other like him, who trained him in the ways of the light and made him stronger. But this too eventually fell to the fury of the followers of Ixarus. Mordechai once again hid rather than fighting and when he emerged he felt a deep shame. Taking up a vow to himself and to the light he determined to no longer hide but to act.
Motivation for wanting to kill Ixarus - Mordechai has had everything taken from him by Ixarus and his followers, except his faith. He now lets the burning fire of his faith guide his actions, unwilling to cower any longer.
Name - Si'Juul Race - Aarakocran Class - Gunslinger Backstory - (short or as long as you want) -- A miscast PlaneShift spell from a sibling causes Si'Juul to end up in these lands. As he begins scouting and surveying this new world, he discovers the world's woes and the stranglehold Ixarus has. In his journey, he stumbles across a village of sorts, more like a small group of ramshackle buildings, where he was urged to enter what he found out was a safe space from the god's far-reaching gaze. Being wary of everyone, knowing full well he was only accepted merely based on the fact that he himself wasn't corrupted by the ever-present threat imposed upon the lands, his mere appearance likely showing how new he was, as it was incredibly rare to see another of his kind outside of home.
(If this next part isn't acceptable, I understand) His new company encouraged him to approach the source of their sanctuary's protection. It didn't look like anything particular, other than the faint glow coming from it. As he approached the object, he could have sworn he was hearing a voice. He wasn't sure if it was just his lack of sleep catching up to him, or if something within this relic was actually trying to speak to him. When he worked up the courage to touch it, he felt some form of influence flow through his body, up into his mind and then down to the pepperbox holstered at his chest. While this essence flew through his body, he heard a voice somewhat clearer this time, forcing him into a deal. The terms being, Si'Juul uses his talents to help destroy Ixarus, aided by his gun being magically enhanced to be able to fire infinitely, ammo no longer a concern. And in exchange, Si'Juul would have the help he needs to get home. It could have been moments or several minutes passed when the influence left his body. Si'Juul looked down and saw his gun glowing for a few more seconds before it dimmed to barely noticeable. He just closes his eyes and nods to himself, accepting the terms, knowing he doesn't have much choice anyway.
Motivation for wanting to kill Ixarus - To fulfill his end of the deal and get back home.
