"I bet there is a large source of Mabaran undead nearby in order for this blight to have been around for this long.....what lies below this town? Ancient burial grounds, manifest zones, catacombs....."
"Seeker Levis told us this is not the manifest zones, they were checked by now. Something - or someone - must manipulate the dead."She looked at the Warlord. "If you point us to the people who already studied the blight, we would begin immediately."
"Below the town? Very little, in Karrnath we generally know better than to build over places of the dead." A wry smile tugs at the warlord's mouth. "There's the Shadowmount to the south, of course, which is a Mabaran manifest zone, but that was indeed the first place we checked. The Seekers did most of the initial examination of the blight and nearby zones, as is their usual role. Their temple lies three streets that way." Warlord Karlach points to the right, in the same general direction Levis hurried away in. "As for mending your wounds, the Jorasco healing house is at the end of the street. They provide both mundane and magical care."
The door creaks open as Lyrik slips back inside, face grave. "We have a problem," he says calmly. "I just received word that a mob is forming outside the Blood of Vol temple. The guard who informed me believes they intend to blockade the Seekers inside. If you wish to speak with them, it just became a little more complicated."

"Indeed, business can wait while we discuss this emergency that is facing your town. The influence must be strong if it is affecting the whole town. I would suspect the skeletons on the road won't be the last monstrosities we run into. You said the northeastern fields are where the blight first appeared? What of those families who work those fields, have they seen anything strange or out of the ordinary?" Sera will take a seat next to the Warlord, placing her hand on his shoulder. "Citron is correct, there has to be something pretty strong influencing these occurrences and problems. I will do what I can to assist you of this infection, Warlord."
As Lyrik comes in with the news of the disturbance down the street she will stand and address the party, "Maybe we should step in? Though I am against their religious practices, I don't believe anyone should be mobbed down, it is so uncivilized. Plus, Levis might be someone who can help us get to the bottom of this."

"And Seekers are someone who is best suited to handle those emergencies too." Adaliza stood up. "Let us see if we can help the Temple first."She nodded, walked outside and went towards the Temple of BoV.
"Good advice, but remember we're not the monsters here, Petra. Slaughtering concerned townsfolk wouldn't bode well to solving the problem."
Serandis will give a goodbye to the Warlord before exiting with the group. It seemed like she would stay in these lands a little bit longer. She wasn't too thrilled to be helping a Seeker, their views on divinity were heretical. Yet, she wasn't for bullies either. Her ancestors would watch her back, and they guide her steps. But she is the one that has the power to make a change. She was itching for a theological debate with a true Seeker.
Once they were outside she would say to the party, "I am not from these lands, neither is Citron here... maybe someone more familiar should take the lead? We'll assist every way we can, but I have noticed that people either don't trust us or don't take us seriously. The pains of being an outsider. And I don't mean to speak for you, my friend. I do believe you are very wise and am glad to have met you. But we are not from these lands."
She was older than the Last War that ravaged the Kingdom of Galifar, but that didn't matter to the spirited folk across the sea.

"Mostly, we do not. Or at least try not to." Adaliza shared Serandis view of the situation. "These are people, scared by horrors of the blight. Yes, they are searching for a scapegoat, and Seekers are often made one, but let's not be hasty." After that long tirade of pure wisdom, she suggested: "If you don't mind, let me try to talk to them. And if I am not successful - Citron's charm would be our next hope."
"I would hope not, Petra. But yes, a level head is something that is needed. And... well, we may not have to scare them away if we can just talk to them. They have every right to be concerned about the Blood of Vol and its Seekers. They do harness the power of the negative domain of Mabar. If you roll around in the mud enough you're likely to start tracking some back into your home." Sera continues walking with the group until they reach their destination, as they arrive she says, "Use caution, they are scared townsfolk. A horrible crime is being done to them and they just want answers and safety for their families. This is their livelihoods and way of life being threatened. That would make anyone upset."

You arrive at the temple as the sun is starting to sink below the horizon. The building is built simply of stone, a teardrop-shaped piece of red glass hanging above the door. Around the temple is a ring of shouting townsfolk, glaring at the temple and yelling out various angry things. "This is your fault! Get out of here, bloodletters! If your elder can't fix this, maybe it's because she's the cause!" and other such sentiments.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Adaliza was studying the crowd while approaching the temple. Were people really ready to attack? Was there someone particularly angry? She would talk to those first. Adaliza was not dressed as a Seeker, besides her pendant, nothing indicated her association with the church of Vol, and she hoped that would help. She pushed through the crowd to the stairs and turned to face the people. "Good citizens of Teryk! Your call for help was heard far and wide. And the help arrived."She was trying to sound as confident as one can when talking to the angry mob. "It is good that the most concerned are already here. Together we will overcome the disaster that had struck this land as we did countless times before! Karrnath suffered through the wars, blight, and famine and came out stronger than ever because we were united, because we were strong, because we believe and count only on ourselves. This is our way! Let us prove once again that nothing can stay in the way of true Karrnathian unity." She took another breath and switch to a more practical part. "In the Warlord's house right now is welcomed anyone who has any knowledge of the happenings - when this is begun, how it began, what was happening right before the evens. We are going to use all the knowledge of the Seekers as well as no one knows more than them. They will cooperate and they will help, I promise you this!" She hoped the most stubborn and angry will take it as if BoV is taken care of and will be watched closely. "Now, those who can help - please, get to Warlord. The rest of you, good people, can go home reassured, that the disaster will be averted."
She was not that sure in her (or the group's) strength but right now she had to believe in it.
Serandis was left speechless. Ada's impassioned speech was more than impressive. It was inspirational. She really believed at that moment that together they would find a solution to the problems of this town and truly help these people.

Adaliza's speech rings through the air, confident and reassuring. Her voice cuts through the shouts of the crowd, which fall silent as she continues to speak, turning to face her. When she finishes her words, there is silence for a moment before a hopeful murmur breaks out in the crowd. After a few moments, they disperse, many throwing hopeful and grateful smiles towards the four of you. Adaliza's words have certainly had quite the effect on the townspeople.
Barely thirty seconds after the young sorceress finished speaking, the street is quiet and the way to the temple's front door clear.
Adaliza exhaled quietly but with obvious relief. "We got lucky. Scared people are hard to reach but for now, they'll believe in themselves at least. Hope the Warlord would understand what to do should someone truly come to him. Shall we enter?" She tried to open the door or knock if that was impossible.
"Mistress Adaliza, luck had nothing to do with what just happened, that was all you." Sera will say enthusiastically. "I have no doubt that whatever we and this town are up against, well, we'll be able to face it and fix it."
Serandis was inspired by Ada's words, she felt empowered by them. Still not noticing the BoV symbol on her person, but even if she did she would be hard-pressed to make her usual judgments against those who follow that religion. She took Ada's lead and followed her to the door, she seemed to know what she was doing and that was something to be admired right now.

The door is indeed locked, but a moment after Adaliza knocks, it is unlocked and opened, revealing none other than Levis on the other side. They smile faintly and step to the side. "An admirable speech, Ms. Adaliza, we thank you for your efforts on our behalf. Please, come in." The entry foyer of the building is sparsely decorated with a holy symbol and an abstract mosaic of red and black on the walls. A pair of black double doors is at the far end of the foyer, with another door on either side of the small hall. Levis shuts the door quietly behind you.
