“Yes yes, everybody keeps saying that... “The Forest is strong... the Lord is fine...” but truth is Mylady that in less than two days we have faced trolls and oni, beign attacked twice by lizardfolk, your once green and mighty forest is turning into something dark and negating it only worsen the problem, not solve it. You stay strong you say? I have broke one of your greatest defenders, and I am just a drop of rain in what is the storm that is coming to you. Let us help the forest, let us heal your tree before it is too late...” he takes a little piece of a dry root and shows her how it crumbles and turns into dust in his hand. “This is not good, this is not healthy and you know it...”
The Lady remains unmoved, "The lizardfolk are of no threat and the trolls follow whomever gives them spoils of raiding. As for the tree, parts of it die and regrow naturally as it pursues life in the soil. I have moved this room half a dozen times in the last three centuries alone." She leans in more intently now, "What does interest me is why you came and killed Caleandron and his people? You say you are the harbinger of destruction? Then give me a reason why I should not bury you all and give you to the treants one-by-one." The Lady rises and moves to the wall where a twisted staff pushes through the tangle of roots, "I have yet to see proof of neutral, let alone peaceful, intentions since you arrived. The only one who I can give a shadow of doubt to is your woodland friend here, but I have known those who corrupt nature in the name of aid."
The room seems to shift and constrict now. While the dimensions are the same, the walls have a looming feeling about them, like the jaws of some great beast about to clamp shut.

“Do you have moss in your ears Mylady? We have done nothing but to defend ourselves. Your centaur attacked us and we had to defend. As soon as he saw Tallgrass he shoot at him trying to kill him. That’s what you call peace? I am not bringer of nothing, but there is war beyond the limits of your forest, and its flames will engulf all, from root to canopy if you don’t let us help you. Beign a creature thst understsnd how all things are connected you seem a little bit sttuborn not to understand this. And the lizardfolk are n threat you say? They had rallied under the banner of someone or something called Ssazull, and even the little termites can make a mighty tree as yours if they are enough. You thraten us, while we have done nothing to harm you, but to help you and your Lord and your forest. “
The Lady smiles at Kyrthas' pressing, "You think I am unaware of what happens here? I know you instigated the attack by the centaur. As for Tallgrass, it was regrettable, but he was put in exile and dared to return. Those exiled face the fate due to them. And do you really think so little of us that a dragon and its minions would pose a threat? My husband built a forest from this very tree over a millenia ago. Three centuries later, we expelled the last dragon from this place by raising the very forest against it." Settling in front of her stool, The Lady remains standing, "You have not threatened my well being, but you have proven a butcher to my defenders. I have taken my husband's care into my hands and we already have the aid we need."

Kyrthas scolfs. "So the centaur shoots first and I instigared the attack? You are as blind as he was. And you will suffer the same fate I am afraid. You could have done all that you talk about... in the past, but now, in the present truth is that you have a dragon on the loose in your wood, your husband and your tree are dying in front of your eyes and it's only you to blame, and instead of fighting your enemies your defenders fight and kill each other and your allies. Be it as you want. " he turns, giving her his back " I have no time to spent with crazy sttuborn old dry and poisoned womans. "
He walks out the chamber if he can. If not he will remain as far fron her as possible and will not talk unless asked something.
"We are losing our time here Cap. Should get moving."

Persuasion 20
My lady? (Sweeping low with respect and a soft voice) I know my kind and "skillset" are not that which is always welcome in as grand a forest as this. But knowing of the skills I possess as well as the others, if we purposely meant to hurt the Lord, Lady and home of the forestfolk and creatures, do you not think we would have done so. As you kno of my character you also kno there is a deep shadow in me. He would have gladly taken more forestfolk or even myself upon death into his embrace. But i attempt to only use that power to steel myself and my companions. I would like to think this forest in its grandeur would also be my companion. We honestly do not come to harm but we have heard a call for assistant from an ancient force. This is why we have come.
Thw Lady turns dark at the mention of Sohyme's patron, but takes a new interest at hearing a cry for help, "You...you heard?" The Verdant Lady seems conflicted between irritation, fear, and pain. A confusion overtakes her, "I...I was mistaken. We have received the aid needed and my husband will be well soon. Your services here are not required."

I'm telling you Cap, never again talk to me of settle down and look for a woman. I pity the poor guy, trusting her and she is deniying the only help they could get. And we were looking for an outsider influence... she is the one killing him!"
"Please pardon our giant friend, he has taken too many blows to the head today and he cannot think straight due to blood loss. Words just come out of his mouth, as if he was mind controlled. As I was saying, we will happily leave as soon as we have nursed our wounds."
Whisper to the goliath:
"Please. You said your were going to speak no more, so don't. I don't want to expend magic just to keep you quiet."
The Lady addresses the goliath once more , her air of regal authority renewed, "If you must know, it was me that sent the warning. However it was a moment of doubt that has long since been dispelled." Turning to Perrin, "If you have control over the beast, best to put a shackle on him. There has been enough death in my land due to his axe. Should he continue, I don't think I have to elaborate what an army of trees can do."

"When the Black King took my city and my Granddad from me, a poison entered into my heart. I blamed everyone except myself for the pain that was eating me away from the inside out. It wasn't until help was offered from the unlikeliest of sources that I saw away back into the light. To grow. To share the burden of my heart and see a way to set it down for good.

Looking towards the captain. "She asks for help then denies it. We can't help someone who doesn't want it even if it is wrong." Turning to heads towards the door eyeing the goliath in hopes he will follow.

The Verdant Lady watches the exchange of halflings with cold consideration. When finished, she approaches Gridolpho, "You know nothing, little shadow. I do not grieve for someone lost; my husband still lives. In time, he will recover and return with me to the forest, but until then, the forest is well enough to weather any storm." He waves a hand dismissively as she leaves down the central tunnel opposite the party, "The treants will see you out of my grove. Do what you will outside of my home. Just know that the forest knows more than you realize."
