This as the tittle states, is a re recruitment for my homebrew sandbox world. This is set in a kingdom recovering from the rule of an evil sorcerer and now dealing with the turmoil of dealing with the death of their previous king. If this sound interesting, you can post a replay down here with your character's name, race class, backstory and character sheet. Make your character level 3. I've never figured out how to end this posts.
Edit: Never mind about the Warforged, changed my mind on which character to make. Please do let me know about Tasha's or any other build restrictions. Thanks!

Race: Goliath
Class: Fighter (Champion)
Background: Far Traveler
Backstory:
Born in a small village in the mountains Caleb never saw the big city. He only knew of it from the taxes they paid to the local noble. His father raised him simple, from dusk until dawn just herding their goats. Occasionally his father would teach him how to wield a sword in case of bandits, or outside threats, but none ever came. As he grew, he invested his free time into practicing the art of swordsmanship finding a peace in it. On occasions adventures would stop in his town for the night and recant their stories and deeds. At times they would even talk about how much money the current job they were on was paying. Eventually, this would begin to place a seed in Caleb’s head about what it would be like to slay dragons and save princesses, only to be snapped back by the sound of sheep bleating at him.
As time went on though Caleb’s family would grow plentiful, but his family would begin to run out of money. Caleb finally saw a way to fulfil his dream of being an adventurer. He could make money to send back to his family, even find new plants for them to grow. At first his father was against the idea of losing his eldest son. However, he could see that his son wanted to go and so he let him.
Caleb has traveled for years now taking on small jobs here and there. He has learned through training, pain, and life lessons that the stories told by adventurers were like that of fishermen. However, he has been able to help his family and so he still adventures just hoping to help them have a good life.

Warforged and Artificer are not allowed because they don't fit the setting.
Lukain lived an uneventful life in a small town near the woods. He often went and played while learning from his father who was a local medicine man. They kept their heads down and stayed out of trouble. Lukain came across a slighted druid who worked for the evil sorcerer who ruled the land. Lukain saw this druid running experiments on captured people in the woods. The druid and his minions easily captured Lukain and transformed him into a Hexblood. This druid bound Lukain to live only so long as a sacred tree bears fruit. Lukain has spent his lifetime in the woods protecting the tree and the fey who live with him. The locals know him as the hermit in the woods and will often seek him out for healing. Hearing the news of the sorcerers death, Lukain has emerged to help the good, local people rebuild.

Valentina had a normal upbringing with her family and sister as human in the big city. Nothing really exciting ever happened to them. One night her sister and Valentina went out to a popular pub for a round of drinks. While in the tavern a fight broke out and turned the place into utter chaos. The two girls ended up dragged out and kidnapped along with a few others. They were thrown in a cage in what she assumes to be sold in this underground crime ring. She cried out for help. It was answered with "I can help you." All she saw was a very weak looking old man. "Please, help us, unlock this door", she pleaded. He responded with "Only if I can have something in return." She replied "Yes, fine, whatever, just get us out of here." He smiled, and in that instant seemed to have disappeared. Her hands began shaking with her skin looking a bit paler than it was and her mouth feeling very odd. She looked down at her hands which seemed to be glowing slightly before returning to normal. "Go ahead, try it out," a similar voice says. She blast the door open. A few thugs rushed in and hit the ground just as fast. The girls took off running and headed for safety. Valentina does not like to talk about that day, or actively tries to ignores it in her mind. She is terrified of these powers and does her best to just live normally. I never know how to end these stories.

Name: Xanaphia "Xana" Holiscient
Race: Eladrin Elf (MToF)
Class: Bard, College of Glamour
Backstory: Like most Eladrin, Xana lived her youth in the Feywild. From very early on, she fell in love with stories of heroes and adventurers told by elves visiting from the material plane. She learned to recount the stories, first just in speech but after she was told they were more commonly told in songs, she just had to learn to do so herself. She soon became a common sight and sound all around the village, but one day she gathered a different kind of attention. A stranger told her she was wasting her talent just singing and playing music, and offered to teach her the old ways of Bards. She had heard of the word in the stories so agreed, but didn't know the term had a bit of a different a meaning in the feywild. But soon she realized at least that there was something strange about her new master, as they came to her everyday wearing a different face. But such things were common enough in the feywild, and she stuck through with the training. When she was deemed ready, her master told her to now go witness new stories in the making first hand by herself, and something in the order made it stick in her mind. She first traveled out of her home village to other parts of the feywild, but not much of note was happening around there, so she worked her hands onto a way to travel to the material plane, and is on her way there now...

Kharnar is a student of an illicit school for hit-men, thieves and mercenaries. Not a loud, visible school. Quiet. Hidden. Students die as often as not, but never leave. The ones who leave are hunted down and killed.
Kharnar hasn’t left just yet. But he’s close. For now he’s doing what students are supposed to do. Finding ways to be someplace that matters, even just a little.
His life has been brutal, but it’s the only life he’s known. The most uncertain time in a student’s life is when he leaves the school to mingle with society. We’ll see how that plays out.
I don’t intend to play him as straight evil, but I think it could be fun to play a character with motivations that are good for selfish reasons. He’ll want the group to succeed and do good so as to improve his ability to do whatever the school asks of him. Hopefully he changes to his core, but I don’t see that being simple, quick or easy.

He never looked for trouble but somehow trouble found him, frequently. Tom had a fairly normal childhood although a tad bit prone to causing accidents wherever he was allowed to play. When he came of age he did what many of his kin do, travel. His great uncle Vernon taught him how to play the flute and he could also tell a good joke so he was always welcome to stay at the Inns and taverns wherever his journey took him, well at least until the weird accidents started to happen again. When they did he was chased out of town, but with time he had gotten used to that. Over the yers he has made some slight progress with learning to control when the accidents should happen and when it would be less appropriate, but this journey too is far from over. And trouble in the form of adventure always seemed to lurk around the next bend of the road.
Full name: Nixi Dimnodder Evangeline Bugstomper "Squirrel" of clan Bindlestiff
Nixi was born to middle-class gnomish parents who were respected jewelers and clockmakers. However, when she was only 10 years old, her parents died in a fire which burned down their home and shoppe. There were whispers that it was arson, perhaps from a dissatisfied customer or rival artisan. Suddenly, Nixi was left without family or means; everything of value had been lost in the fire. She lived on the streets for a time, living off scraps and what she could "borrow" from others. Eventually, a kindly human mage caught her with a few tomes she had pinched from his library. Instead of punishing her, he saw the magical potential, and decided to teach her some magical skills. Nixi studied with him for twelve years, until one day he disappeared without a trace. After waiting for months with no word from her mentor, Nixi set out again, full of sadness and rage at being orphaned a second time.

Name: Emrig
Race: Hill Dwarf
Class: Moon Druid/2, Barbarian/1
Backstory: Emrig didn't consider himself particularly special amongst his village. He was a hard-working farmer with a knack for building things and making things grow. He took pride in his livestock and crops, and would often share this abundance around town.
Emrig's generosity attracted the attention of a local fey lord, who considered themselves the keeper of the village lands. They worked in secret, using the creatures in their domain to do their bidding. Fed up with dealing with the local ruffians and robbers time and time again, the fey lord greatly appreciated someone as thoughtful as Emrig. The dwarf truly seemed to understand what it meant to be a caretaker of nature. He was a true spirit of the land -- as close to fey as one could be while still rooted to the common plane.
And so, sensing that they would one day fade from this realm, the fey lord offered up some of their power to the kindly dwarf. They granted him the gift of magic, and the ability to bond with the animal spirits, even taking their shape for a time. And, within these blessings, there was one more gift -- one that captured the true fire of the Fey wilds. For Emrig was without anger, and the fey lord knew too well that righteousness did not burn without a spark. And so the wise Fey lord bestowed upon Emrig terrible anger, but one that could be focused, used to beat back those that would abuse the land and its creatures. They urged Emrig through dreams, to leave the farm and see the world, remake it in their image. And so, with the Fey lord's blessing, he did. Emrig placed his farm in the care of his kin, took up his trusty walking stick, and began to walk. He does not know when the next road will take him, but his steps are always confident, for as long as he is out in the world, he is never alone.

Name: Ghathi Stonetwister Kalukupine
Race: Goliath
Class: Cleric (Tempest)
Backstory: Ghathi came from the remote Kalukupine clan. They lived high in the mountain, far from most of the affairs of the kingdom. But the clan had gotten pulled into the plans of the sorcerer. Over the years, many members had been enlisted to work for the evil ruler, as guards and warriors or even laborers. They had not done this due to any loyalty to the sorcerer or any sympathy to his ways. Rather, the clan had been well paid in oxen, sheep, and goats, as well as grains that would have been difficult to grow themselves. Clan members who went to work were kept comfortable.
Growing up, Ghathi came to be called Stonetwister, due to his skill as a mason. It was a trade that many in his family followed, including his father. But he was also strongly devoted to Basa, God of Storms and looked upon as the chief patron of the Kalukupine clan. Called to serve his god, Ghathi took up training to become a cleric.
It was skill as a mason however, led him to be selected as part of a group that went to construct buildings for the sorcerer. His role as cleric played a part too, and he was to be a spiritual leader for the young people that were sent. However, they did not get much time to work on construction projects. Soon after arriving, the evil sorcerer was defeated. Ghathi and the other goliaths were readily recognized and pegged as associates of defeated ruler. Suffering attacks, a fair number were killed and the rest fled. There was no explaining that they were merely working a job. They were afraid to travel back to their clan for fear they might be followed.
Fleeing to a distant part of the kingdom, Ghathi has been trying to find what work he can. The further he travels from where his group had been working, the less awareness there seems to be of his clan and their supposed alliance with the evil sorcerer. But he is still worried that there might be those that would recognize him and come after him.
