***** finding a decent spot thinking, not great but will have to do quickly moves inside the gate tunnel and pulls out his bedroll. After a good meal, he is just ready to call it and night to try to get a little shut-eye, leaving the strange Wolhana to copulate or whatever he is looking to do with that tree. The little Goblin calls out to him, "I think you need to buy it dinner first,"then shakes his head mumbling to himself... none of my business just ignore it *****, just ignore it. Probably will attract unwanted attention but the monk looks like he can handle whatever may come his way so ***** just lays back to allow himself to drift off to sleep.
On one of Wolhana's punches, part of the tree's bark snaps off with a loud snap. The garden doors of the estate swing open, with two men in simple clothes coming out, both with a longsword in hand. "Hey, you! Halt! On your knees and drop your weapons!" He looks back inside and calls out to someone you can't see. "Florence, go get the town guard! We have a trespasser."
Everybody else settles for the night uneventfully.
Wolhana raises his hands, looking toward the guards he calls out "hang on, Florence, that's not necessary just yet!" With a pleading tone he continues to explain to the approaching guards that he'S no threat. "Gentlemen... please, I am supposed to join the fight against the invading Hobgoblin forces to the south by morning. I am only training so that I might be at my peak performance when I sign up. At the very least, please, allow me to speak with the master or mistress of the estate. I'm sure they have a vested interest in the expansion of the territory do they not? Me and my friends may be able to help." He let's the request simmer for a moment.
"If you don't know, that's fine... but it really couldn't hurt to ask, could it?"
The house guards look at each other for a moment, their expression showing that they believe you're either a horrible liar, stupid, or insane. "You'll have plenty of time to explain that to the town guard," says one. "After all, everyone knows the retake operation won't begin at least until the month of Starbud; that's two months from now, not nextdawn. Now, I will say it once more, on your knees!"

"Gentlemen, obviously you know more than I do about what's been happening in the south, and that must mean that your masters are informed as well. And since there is plenty of time for all parties to prepare for the reclamaition, my friends and I may even claim victory in the name of your patron! If you'll allow, my friends are staying at a nearby inn... and we can all arrange a proposal in the morning. Let's not spoil the prospect of a good thing just because of a minor inconvenience."
The guard looks at you and shakes his head. "Whatever your goal may be in the end, this is this and that is that. You're still trespassing and vandalized our garden, and refusing to cooperate. You've forced our hand; we will apprehend you by force!"
The guard left of the entrance moves up to you, drawing his sword from its scabbard and swinging it diagonally. The other follows behind the first, moving to flank you and swinging his own weapon up high.
Deftly dodging both attacks from the guards, Wolhana realizes that these two have no interest in negotiating. "can't we all just get along??" He does everything he can to run as far away as fast as he possibly can. "That's allright, I needed to get a good run anyway."
Wolhana gracefully vaults back over the fence, and sprints down the alleys, leaving the estate behind and making his way away before the town guard even got near. The guards left behind did not pursue.
Wolhana eventually makes his way back to *****'s little nest at the tunnel gate. "whoo...that was fun! you should come work out with me next time, *****. Oh, man.... I'll tell you what, I'll take first watch and let you get a nap in.
***** wakes up, yawns and stretches... and then empties his bladder in a nearby bush then proceeds to roll up his bed-roll and stuff it back into his pack. He turns to the still sleeping Wolhana and taps him with his foot,"wake up sleeping beauty, wore yourself out playing with trees, did we? Well, I am off... back to the inn to meet up with our friends so I guess I will see you there."
The hairy little Goblin does not wait for a response and turns. He quickly starts walking back to the inn he left their other two companions leaving Wolhana to his own devices, to continue to sleep or give chase as he prefers.
Illia lights shifts, blinking away the sleep from her eyes as she sighs to herself. The sigh more towards relief and satisfaction that the night was rather uneventful and peaceful, allowing her a full night's rest. She gathers her belongings with ease and goes outside of the Inn bidding the innkeeper a good day.
***** looks back as he walks away and shrugs then continues on toward the inn, looking forward to seeing Illia, wondering if her night was as uneventful as his or if she will even still be there and not gotten a better job offer, a someone like her could probably do much better than the motley little crew that seems to be coming together. The Goblin has his doubts about it all working out, in his experience most end up bailing on him which is why he often finds himself mostly on his own.
As ***** walks along he tries to cheer himself up by whistling and singing a happy tune to lighten his mood... perhaps more than a little out of tune and his voice rather frog-like and not as pleasant as a minstrel or bard he throws himself into the song and shuffles his feet a bit as he dances and walks along until he comes into sight of the inn and Illia standing outside waiting.
Kugan wakes up at the first lights. By the way, he stays a bit longer in the bed, thinking about their next moves and on the possibility that soon enough, he would face his terrible fault, something that gets him a chill.
Eventually, he gets up, gunking off his face with the water bucket in his room and collects all his staff. When ready he leaves the room, steps outside, finding the half-drow already there.
"A nice nap Illia?" He smirks "I have to admit, it could have been worse"
Illia faces Kugan hearing his voice and just smiles a bit sounding a little amused as she says, "I will agree with you on that, it definitely could have been worse but luckily it wasn't."
