Going back to the inn the party sees the hooded figures huddled around the largest table in the back. Their voices are lowered but anyone can see they're discussing something as they gestures to one another or around the room. The two mauled victims have been moved off the floor and out of sight. The elderly Velma remains at the bar while her partner is absent. The young woman who was serving the party appears again nods at the party before delivering a tray of drinks to the hooded figures.

Lillian walks up to the bar with a wide rin and orders 3 blackberry pies to share for the group, as she pays she leans in to Velma and flicks her eyes in the direction of the hooded table.
" Recognise them?", she says in a low voice.
As she makes her way back to her companions reclaimed table she runs her eyes over the hooded group as casually as she can.
Perception: (Whats under those hoods/sleeves)-15
Sleight of Hand: ( Trying not to be noticed peeking)-15
"Odd lot," Velma begins, "but not the first to come through like them," she adds.
Lillian can see the figures are wearing fine robes underneath the identical hoods. They all however are wearing gloves as well as have yet to remove them of touch any of the items set in front of them.
Corrin walks up behind Lillian at the bar. "Velma, do you know where the injured couple is? I would like to check on them." she says. "We'll likely follow up on the trail in the morning with more light. We'd also like to ask them some questions when they wake up, if that's okay."
To Lillian she says, "I'd really like to know what they look like beneath those hoods. It seems odd that they keep them up even inside."
As Corrin walks in the direction that Velma says the injured couple is located (assuming up the stairs). She passes by the table muttering to herself and thinking about what she thinks the figures might look like beneath their hoods. Suddenly a spectral hand appears behind one of the figures, and begins to tug at the back of their hood to reveal their face. Corrin casts Mage Hand.
Creed has sat down at a table facing the hooded figures. As Corrin walks he watches to see what's happening and seeing the casting he instinctively lets out a spell of his own, causing all the windows to rattle open and closed in a powerful gust hopefully covering whatever she's doing. thaumaturgy

Amihan loves a good mystery, but she is not the subtle or patient sort. As the others ask around about the newcomers, and try to manipulate their hoods, she will approach the table, scrap of parchment and quill in hand and introduce herself.
“Excuse me, good strangers. I understand from our brief conversation outside that you have been traveling from Westrunn. I am a researcher, chronicling my travels through this part of the world. That means to record” she adds, almost as an afterthought, just in case the strangers didn’t understand her.
“I have not been to Westrunn yet, although I hope to visit the Cobalt Reserve at some point. What can you tell me of the city and your journey along the trail?”

OOC: Corrin and Creed are you trying to be stealthy about your casting or no? If so please roll stealth. Will reply to those posts after that's clarified.
"We've taken them into a room upstairs. If they sleep it off I'll put then on the road tomorrow morning," Velma answers before she shrugs and sighs. "It's not likely they were injured by a bear without provocation in these parts," she adds with furrowed eyebrow.
Love bounces after Lillian, far too enthralled by the promise of pie to pay much attention to the hubbub going on around her. She hums under her breath as she leans against the counter, a little song that no one else knows quite yet. Her tail flicks around behind her as she turns and sweeps the room now. Huh. What are the others all doing?
"Why don't we just go talk to them, if we've got questions?" Love asks Lillian as she follows her back to the table with the others. "Like, maybe they're friendly! Lots of people are friendly, even people with hoods and gloves. Maybe they've got scars or something that they don't wanna show off. Maybe they've got things like these-" And here she taps one of her short black horns protruding from her forehead. "-and they just wanna hide that."

" Why would you hide those? They look cool.", Lillian said with a genuine smile, then her face fell as she saw the spell casting and a pit formed in her stomach.
Corrin conjures a mage hand within few of the entire tavern and sends it quiet obviously towards the hooded figures and attempts to tug off the hood just as Creed causes the windows to fly open abruptly letting in the night are and rattling against the sides of the wooden building! Velma gives a start while the entire group looking at the party as Amihan attempts to be friendly. The party's invasive magic use however causes the hooded figures to continue on their guard.
At the table with Corrin by the stairs and Amihan head on the hooded figures seem to be keeping to themselves.
"We're merely travelers of little note. We have nothing to share and wish to be left alone," the man who spoke previously speaks again waving Amihan off with a dismissive gloved hand as Corrin's mage hand tugs off his hood to reveal a middle aged human man missing his left eye. It's covered however with a simple black patch. Amihan gleens little about anyone else's appearance however and the man's tone is neutral telling very little. The man immediately stands raising his hood back up as his right hand moves to a symbol beneath his robes.
"Careful with casting in here you lot," Velma growls loudly from the bar shaking a small wrinkled hand. "We've sent a rider for the guard about the other bear victims and they'll be here in the morning. Anyone making trouble will end up in the stocks or worst under the Pale Guard," she adds hard with furrowed eyebrows.
The one eyed man's hand goes lacks in his robe and retakes his seat. He says nothing else and returns to vigil of his companions.
Creed nods to Velma. "My apologies. I sometimes get caught up in my own thoughts and end up verbalizing something that was meant to be internal. I can close them again if you like?"

Lillian laughs out loud at the bar, " I promise to be on my best behaviour. Velma. Now wheres that pie?....lets get these folk fed perhaps light-headedness is leading to hasty decisions?"
She motioned to Corinn to join her, " C'mon, join me and Love for pie. It's my job to start the fights.......oh! Do you remember when I got in that tussle with that kid from up the hill? And then my Gramps got involved and Lady V? Did I ever thank you for stepping in for me? I thought I was gonna get thrown in lock-up..."
Her eyes drifted again to the table....eyepatch....human male...wait....what was that symbol?
She tried to see if she could catch a glimpse as his hand moved inside the robe...
"Pie. Yes of course," Velma says to Lillian snapping her fingers as her server prepares it then brings it over.
Amihan draws a blank where she heard or read about the symbol she glimpsed briefly but it's for a building religious movement in Tal'dorie. A focus used by those who wish to resurrect Vecna and remain in his service. The lost of a left eye shows the man's devotion to his God.
Lillian spots the symbol but can't recall what it is for before the man slips it back beneath his robes and sits down.
"Dearie we get all kinds in here but scuffling is well out of order," Velma replies to Creed and continues to clean. "Trouble...knew running this tavern would be trouble," the elderly halfling woman says mumbling to herself.
"I'm sorry Velma. I'm still learning to control my magics, sometimes they get the better of me. I will be more careful in the future."
Corrin joins Lillian and the rest of the group. "Yeah...I remember. I told your gramps that the kid had teased me about pops. Truth is...I never thanked you for sticking up for me that day."
Lillian would know it but can't put her finger on it. It was just a flash. It's been nearly sixty years since Vecna was thwarted and relative peace was restored to Tal'Dorie.
Amihan returns to the tale with the others and whispers, intending to prevent the group at the table from overhearing her. “Guys, I recognize that symbol, and the eye patch. It is used by a rising group of followers of Vecna, the whispered one.” she pauses “among other things, they seek to undermine the teachings of Ioun, and guard the secrets of knowledge for themselves. What are they doing here?”

Keeping her voice low....
" Vecna? My grandfather wasn't involved in the fight against him directly but me and Corrin have heard the stories about Lady V and the others......these are bad folks."
She turned to Corrin, " Should we continue the Whitestone tradition of kicking his cultists arses?"
