As Rey ducks through the doorway shoulder first, he pulls back his hood, giving a light shake of his mane, resulting in a fine mist forming around him. He inspects the room to see what else adorns this humble abode (lets see if I do this right lol) perception 10 before approaching the man reading his book. Rae crosses his arms and with a convincing -thud- leans his body weight on top of the counter.
"Quiet night in, eh?" He booms with a slight guttural growl.
Tordek thought to himself..."I've seen better...I've seen worse!" He just needs a place to lie his aching body for the night.
As he steps into the door he notices an odd looking creature attempting to strike up a conversation with some rather large human behind the desk... It appears that the man behind the desk doesn't even notice this creature. As he approaches the desk he "accidentally" bumps into the creature and says..."Oh! Pardon me..."
Rae feels a sturdy bump on his left thigh and looks down over his shoulder. A dwarf.
"Ah, hello stranger!" Rae exclaims in Dwarven. He leans down and puts his paw up to the side of his mouth and whispers "Nice to have SOMEone to acknowledge my existence." Before winking and standing back up to his full height.
A figure in leather armor, shadow from a hood obscuring his face, slips through the doorway and just steps up to the counter. "A room and wine, good sir." A smooth, charismatic voice comes from the hood. A gloved hand reaches up and pulls the hood down. Purple-blue scaly skin catches the light, a pair of magnificent horns laced with a few piercings. He smiles at the human, his yellow eyes gleaming.
Exclaimed the man, surprised to be face to face with a feline creature. As travelers file into the room, he seems to stare at you all with disbelief.
”Pardon me! I was lost within my book and to be honest, we don’t see many visitors!”
There was a faint sound of distant thunder.
”My name is Christoph. Welcome to the Broken Lance!” I would be honored to provide you all with lodging!” He said with a wide grin. “Unfortunately, as for drink and food, we have none on the premises, but you can find some.... fine... food and drink just down the street at the Dead Eel Pub.”
As he scrambles for the inn ledger and a writing instrument, he says “Here, let me get you signed in and let you get to your rooms. Dinner should be starting soon at the Eel, and I’m sure you’re hungry!”
PERCEPTION: As Rey looks around the room he notices nothing unusual. The room is moderately adorned, and well lit. There’s a fire burning in the fireplace across the room. Over the mantle there’s a shield with a horses head emblem over a chevron. Based on the design of tthe room, it’s clear to Rey that this clearly had been a house converted to an inn. Over the door, a bunch of purple flowers hung over the doo and windows. They had clearly been cut earlier in the day as they were showing signs of wilting.

"No worries, Christoph." The bluish tiefling smiles. "I'm Valmarir, if you need my name. I'll head over to the pub once I get my room."
A young Half-Elf stumbles into the inn, alone covered in what looks to be mud, blood and sweat. His clothes consists of a top hat with leather armored coat. Gathering his composer he looks around the room seeing group of folk gather he will head in there direction. As he get closer you can see the lack of sleep on his face, almost as if he's been through hell and beyond. The Tabaxi with his keen eyes sees in his coat pocket a black book that's been burned bad but somehow together.
Xander: "Excuse me, I know this is a little rude but I was curious if you gentlemen had any spare coins? I spent my last few getting me this far and event then I have been on foot for a couple of days."
[Heart of Darkness: "Those who look into your eyes can see that you have faced unimaginable horror and that you are no stranger to darkness."]

Valmarir flicks you a gold coin.
Catching the coin with his hand he will take his hat off and bows, as he rises he stares at Valmarir and speak in Infernal "Thank you, not a lot of people give out such coin to strangers ."

Once the Owner get the ledger out"How much for one night?"
Tordek thinks things couldn't get any stranger... He asks Christoph for a room... ((once BeastyC is done)) -- In a strange sort of way, Tordek thinks he could enjoy adventuring with these strange folks...

Christoph smiled as Xander entered the inn. As Christoph took in Xander’s appearance, his smile faulters slightly, but Christoph jerks it back in place as he meets Xander’s gaze.
”Hello! My! We’re almost full!” He said purposely avoiding looking at Xander.
”As I mentioned, you all look like you could use a decent meal. The Dead Eel Pub just down the street has the best food you’ll find here in town. Let me show you to your rooms!”

"Thank you, my good sir." Valmarir smiles, bowing slightly. He always seems to be smiling or laughing.
Rae raises his hand, signalling to Christoph for a room also, while looking the half elf up and down.
"Interesting book..." he thinks to himself.
He takes a minute to slowly stare around at the individuals in this odd crossing of fates and loudly states "Dinner sounds good! And I think we could all do with a drink. Will you all accompany me and fill me in on your tales? I LIVE for a good story."
