Sorry, just working on my character. What do we have so far?
We have:
Julius, a Half-Drow Sorcerer Umarook, a Half-Orc Cleric Lady Whiff, an Air Genasi Druid Belvalor, a Half-Elf Rogue Gwylla, a Half-Elf Wizard Daphiwyse, a Deep Gnome Warlock Misty, a Tabaxi Rogue
Over the course of a couple of weeks, each of you has been captured by the Drow. Despite your best efforts to stay unseen, they could not match the inborn prowess that these dwellers of the void had honed from birth. Even the best of you could not slip away in the darkness completely. Living in complete darkness has its advantages. Stripped of your clothes(you've been given burlap sacks and booties to wear), armor, items, weapons, and anything of value, you've been taken to an outpost carved out of caves in the cavern walls combined with hollowed out stalactites connected by bridges, stairs, and walkways. Thick webs made by the giant spiders that live in this cave conceal these hanging towers.
The leader of this outpost is a vicious priestess of Lolth called Ilvara. She is always flanked by two male Drow: Jorlan and Shoor. You don't know too much about them yet. Every day you are given menial or unnecessary chores by your captors. Most of the time this is meant as a form of torture used to entertain the Drow of this outpost. Ilvara has been your most fervent tormenter, using her scourge to try and break your will. She has told you many times to accept your reality, she is in control now. And if you don't, she's shown you what happens to those who cause too much trouble. One such prisoner, a half-elf, was tossed down into the spider webs. The spiders below quickly descended upon them, wrapped them in web, and ate their fill.
You're cramped into a small pen with ten other prisoners. There's barely just enough space for all of you to lay down.
You have come to know your other fellow captives names, but nothing more than that. It's been too short a time to get any insight on
Buppido:
A male derro. He's quite talkative, speaking about how he hopes to return to be the savior of his people.
Derendil:
A quaggoth that only speaks Elvish.
Anyone that speaks Elvish can converse with Derendil.
This Quaggoth states he was an Elvish prince who was polymorphed.
Eldeth Feldrun:
A female shield Dwarf from Gauntlgrym.
She talks periodically about the great accomplishments her people have achieved in Gauntlgrym.
Jimjar:
A male Deep-Gnome who has gained the ire of his fellow captives and Drow due to his incessant need to gamble.
Ront:
A male Orc who was fleeing from dwarves when he fell down a shaft into the Underdark.
He's a bit standoffish and often bullies everyone in the slave pen. He immediately clamps his jaw whenever the Drow are around, especially Ilvara.
Sarith Kzekarit:
A male Drow who was accused of murdering one of his own. He is fairly quite and keeps to himself.
Shuushar The Awakened:
Quite the odd specimen, Shuushar is a Kuo-Toa who practices pacifism and has the most calming presence out of all the captives.
Stool:
A cute little Myconid sprout that was captured by Sarith. They are a little skittish, but you might be able to befriend them.
Topsy and Turvy:
Brother and sister, these Deep-Gnomes are direct opposites of one another. Topsy is a chatterbox while Turvy mumbles or repeats what Turvy says.
Most of these captives can only speak Undercommon, however Stool has, on occasion, used their rapport spores to assist with communication.
All of you have been having strange dreams night after night.
Misty Meadow:
In your dream, you're running through a maze. Your heart is beating fast, your mind filled with thoughts of the hunt.
Multiple beasts surround you, but they are not your enemy. They are here to revel in the hunt with you. Their cries echo throughout the cavernous maze.
Your sharp eyes spot a minotaur, the prey that your master seeks. Growling ruptures the stillness. Reflexively, as a unit, you and your companions pounce.
You wake before the Minotaur meets it's gruesome fate.
Daphiwyse:
Your vision is blurred as you look around hurriedly at your surroundings. Your skin feels like it's on fire. You struggle to move through this thick, viscous, goop that you seem to be trapped in. A bubbling gurgling sound rings in your head before darkness pierces the liquid.
Everything around you shudders and shakes, you are enveloped by inky blackness. Your skin no longer on fire.
The void you are now in gives off no light, and you can't even see yourself.
A voice echoes in the distance...
"Release me from my prison. Destroy the stone."
The echoes get closer, and closer, almost as if a space is enclosing around you. The sound bounces back and forth and back and forth in nothingness.
Ringing in your ears for infinity until you awake: "Release me from my prison. Destroy the stone."
Gwylla:
Strands of silk twisting and winding through caverns. Stalagmites and stalactites are covered in it.
You walk to inspect closer and see squirming Quaggoths, Drow, Deep Gnomes, Duergar, and numerous other humanoids and beasts entangled throughout the length of this cave.
You see a light appear far in front of you, and you try to run for it. No matter how far you run, it never gets any closer. The laugh of a menacing being echoes throughout the caverns.
Umarook:
A screeching cacophony rings throughout your mind. One by one, animals start to jump past you.
At first glance, you're unsure if they are mere animals or monsters because of how swiftly they run past you.
Soon you realize they have two heads. One is always screaming, it's eyes darting everywhere, mouth foaming. While the other is frightened, helpless, and worried.
You look to your left...and your right at the same time? You see yourself staring right back at you. As if you were attached to the same body.
You scream in terror as your face is engulfed in writhing tentacles.
Julius:
There's something that you feel in your head. You can't quite place it, but it's driving you crazy.
In flashes you visit healers, clerics, priestesses...anyone that might be able to help you find what ails you. All turn you away, a frightened look in their eyes as doors slam shut in your face.
A mirror drops before you, it shatters and the pieces scatter in a pile on the floor.
You walk with purpose towards the pieces and look into them. Half of your face reflects in some pieces. While in others reflects a putrid green, orange, and red mass of bulges.
You stare and stare, trying to make sense of whether you are well or not.
Sir Percival:
You dream of running through a city.
A corruption of the chaos of the world. This orderly eyesore must go.
A guttural screaming growl erupts as you hold your head high. You look down, and the city is beneath you. You seem to stand higher than any tower.
The screams of ants below you erupt as your feet topple the city into chaos. It becomes disorderly perfection as you rage across the city.
To-do: Please feel free to describe your character and socialize with your fellow captives within the prisoner's pen (NPC's and PC's alike). You can try and speak with your Drow captives, however you will need to either speak Elvish or Undercommon. Just be careful of what you say 😈
You have found that you can not cast any spells within the prisoner's pen. Any magical effects, abilities, etc do not work. You also don't have the material components for spells due to your items being stripped from you.
Use the "Quote" option to keep threads organized.
After some socializing, I'll split you and the captive NPC's into groups of four to do your chores for the day.
You are welcome to do anything in the specified areas that you're in. Keep in mind that you are under the watchful eye of the Drow. You'll need to find your personal effects and plan out your escape very carefully. Failure doesn't mean death immediately, however it can eventually lead to becoming a snack for the spiders below you.
If you want to roll for something, let me know what you're doing and then I'll give you one or more options for skills to roll.
Give me as detailed a description as possible of what you're doing and how you're doing it.
I.E. I want to see if there is a pattern in the Drow patrols.
or
I want to search the cafeteria for a sandwhich.
If you have any questions or feedback/concerns out of character please feel free to send me a DM!
Umarook tries to find a more comfortable spot in their accommodations and speaks to no one in particular, "Does anyone understand a word these Drow are speaking? I am so lost, and I don't know about you, but these nightmares are driving me mad! Are the rest of you having them as well? I'm not sure how much more I can take of this."

Daphiwyse says: "Yeah! I hope they're friendly. Did you say something about nightmares? I had one too. How are you? Oh, that's too bad. I hope that I can get to know you guys before I bust out." He says this, overlapping his words with Umarook's.
I don't think I'd be able to schedule play, but I'll be able to post a lot when able to.
I can post fairly often most times. Though, I’m most free on Thursday’s and Friday’s.
If play is scheduled, im out
Liarin: Against the Cult of the Reptile God
Adewild: Shadows and Light 2
Brother Thaddeus: Rime of the Frostmaiden.
yeah. I may not be able to post at some times
NP!
It sounds like the majority is for just posting when we can.
I'll post an intro this week, hopefully by Friday. :)
They/Them
We will get a PM if we've been chosen for the camapign, yes?
He already approved us in the thread. Just look at that
Oh! Neato :)
Yep! I apologize for not being more clear.
I just wanted to get a group together to play, so nothing too critical regarding letting people join.
As long as we get along fairly well and play nice I figure things should be just fine.
I'm working on the intro now :)

I'm sorry, after consideration I am going to withdraw my character.
I hope you all have fun!
It's surprisingly balanced party with a bit lack of tank for we applied without knowing other characters classes. :)
Agreed! This is going to be fun! Though my half-orc can handle heavy armor, so eventually I can be a decent tank.
OK, I'll make a front liner
:)

I tell Jimjar: "Hello, do I know you? Many deep gnomes look alike, well at least to me."
