Backstory: Jamril was born the son of a human father and an elven mother. He was the first child of the union between the two. He grew up comfortably in a large house in Baldur's Gate and was very happy with his life. As a child, he was forced to move in with his elven aunts, uncles, and cousins after her father passed away in a work related accident, and her mother suffering a breakdown and at the time needed help raising her five children. Despite this, life was fine; Jamril did well with his studies and joined a group of scholars and orators who taught him the ways of being a bard, though they kept dark secrets...
The group he belonged to dabbled in the ways of contacting the spirit world through songs and stories. He was given a tarokka deck and a lute and was shown how to contact the spirits. Though he did positive things with his new abilities, such as the spirits showing him visions of a sudden storm forming; without him warning the committee there wouldn't have been time to protect the businesses and even lives... the spirits almost lead to trouble. One day, he was accused of stealing coins from a noble's home in the night, the evidence being the bags of coin around his bed upon waking up; Jamril believes he was set up by his group. Though he was found not guilty in the trial, most likely due to him cooperating in the trial and the returning of the coin, as well as his previous accolade as a hero, Jamril did not feel right being in this community and decided to set off on an adventure, to find a new place to live and make his fortune.
I'll give it a try!
