Name: Konak Steelforge
Race: Hill Dwarf
Class: FIghter/Champion
Background:
Konak has a Noble background and comes from a long line of merchants on both his mother’s and father’s sides of the family. He grew up the middle child with an older brother, a sailor, and a younger sister, a seemstress. All lived a modest but ordinary childhood but were expected to help in the family business. When Konak came of age he was drafted into the army and learned the precepts of his profession while blazing trails and scouting enemy encampments.
I've been wanting to run this but haven't found any live sessions that work with my time, so pbp sounds perfect (I'm usually online throughout the day). I've also been really wanting to try out this concept character that I think would be a lot of fun to play, (all content is from official sources).
Item: War Pick of Warning Character Backstory: When Pik became an adult, he felt whispers calling to him. Seeking power to rise above his caste, he submitted to the whispers and beckoned them. Instead, they drew him into the plane of Ravnica. He began searching for the patron behind the whispers but was brutalized for being a strange creature and thrown into the sewers. While he lay dying he found a crystal, from which he could hear the whispers. Holding it tightly in his hand, he had a vision of a war pick with a raven standing on top. He was rescued by an elf reclaimer, who noticed there was still some life in the Grung and decided to see if he could survive his ordeal. Grung's desire kept him alive and during his recovery he slowly learned the speech of the elf. After he recovered he was presented to the Golgari and due to his unique physical abilities, was entered into The Ochran, becoming an effective killer. He also began to hear the voice more clearly from the crystal and entered into a pact with the raven to send more souls to the Shadow plane in exchange for more power. This power manifests itself in the weapon in his vision, which he renamed himself after: the war pick.
Ability scores (assuming normal rolled 4d6 drop lowest): 14 16 14 12 8 17 If not, then will use standard array.
This sound likes a lot of fun. If I'm chosen, here's my character idea:
Name: Narzan Race: Protector Aasimar Class: Druid/Paladin (Champion of the Wild) Background: Folk Hero
Magic Item: Cloak of Protection
Narzan has always felt a deep connection to Nature. Sometimes Nature needs a hand. Narzan felt that being a druid would help him in his deep seated desire to help Nature stay natural. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. As time went on, his abilities weren't enough. He needed an edge. That's when he began to follow the path of the paladin. The Devine abilities granted to him are giving the feeling that he can keep doing this.
While he isn't in his home territory, Nature may look different here. But it always needs help. And he wants to help. And now he can, more so if others are willing.
See my other entry further down as I'm withdrawing this character.
Panvoril came to Waterdeep to try and find his brother who'd disappeared four months ago. He hasn't had much luck at all, but he's hoping getting in good with the person funding this mission will help him gain contacts -- and if not, at least gold for bribery.
Ba'nushah appears to be a blue skinned half elf, however his real father was a polymorphed Blue dragon. Born on another world far away, Blue was to be the key to escape of his dragon father of that world back to the realms, however he escaped before the plan could be put into effect, escaping first to the Shadowfell, then to the Feywild. Time passes differently there, and he has no idea how old he is or how long he has been gone form his home.
His adventures in the Shadowfell involved him running and hiding and eventually falling foul of the Raven Queen. Sent by her on a mission of vengeance to the Feywild, he become enscrolled by a lover, forgetting all details of his target, although remembering he had a debt to the Raven Queen. Finally, his lover grew bored and dumped him into the realms, at Waterdeep, with nothing but his old duster and a Pearl gift she gave him. He is lost now in a world he doesn't know and fleeing his past.

Name: Willem Taal Race: Half-elf Class: Fey Wanderer Ranger (1 level dip into Warlock planned) Item: Bracers of Archery
Willem has always been comfortable on his own. He understands the ways of nature and how to live, or more accurately, thrive in it.There was this time he found a stream quite literally that appeared out of nowhere. Needing to freshen up, he scooped up the water in his hands and drank. The water was cold and refreshing. His body tingled after each drink. Once he had his fill, he made camp a short distance away from the stream and rested for the night.
The next morning, things felt different. He thought we was going mad. His skin and hair were different colors than the day before. Untying his hair confirmed that was different. "Maybe it's the light.", he thought. After packing up camp and heading to the stream, he noticed it wasn't there. Just a dried up bed where the water was flowing the day before. Heading into the light, still dumbstruck by what was going on, Willem enters a clearing. His skin was a different tone than the day before. It was spring and it seemed to match the area he was in. There was definitely something in that water.
A little time has passed and he's noticed some other changes as well. He still prefers being alone, but another thought has crept into his mind. He ignores this for a while. While he won't turn down the gold offered by those wealthy city folk who get lost, he secretly laughs at their ineptitude. He does notice one thing though. Even though they are lost, usually cold and miserable, they have a bond. Willem finally puts a finger on it. He feels a compulsion to form a bond with others. This may be difficult for him, but it's something he needs to do. So he sets off, looking for an adventuring party...
