Backstory: Duhlgar was a guard in the one vaults of Clan Horn. He specialized in magical enhancements to the locks and various security measures. It is both his greatest pride, and shame. Many years ago one of the vaults, one he personally set protections on, was broken into and a valuable artifact was stolen. In his shame he resigned his position and set out to try and track the thief down. He finally succeeded, catching the thief, but the artifact wasn't recovered. Still not satisfied he continues his search for the treasure that was taken by taking on jobs to find objects and return them in the hopes that he will finally find the person who holds the stolen object.
Backstory: Balasar was once a mercenary whose valuing of coin and more direct approaches over preparation and research led to an ally of his clan suffering for it. Hobbled and exiled as a result, he spent several years wandering the coastlines of fearun, selling his sword, and pissing away any profit in vices. At least until inevitably forced to move on for going a step too far in these pursuits. By chance, he would be guided from despair and self-destruction in an encounter with a member of the Order of the Gauntlet on abroad from Waterdeep. Though he would still struggle from time to time with both what he'd done, and bad habits formed over the years after. Still, it was through 'her' that he became something of a trainee within the order and regained some purpose in life. Just as it was by 'her' hand that he found himself in just the right place and the right time to follow some adventuring types seeking to put an end to those who most recently would disrupt the peace.
Kathryn has skin of night shadow and eyes of clear sky. Her mother never told her who her real father was. But the fear in her eyes spoke more than the words, they told Kathryn that her father was a resident of the Under dark.
For a half of her life, Kathryn received unjust discrimination and prejudice. But it couldn't stop her from being a protector of the forest and earning the trust of elders. When the cult of the dragon started it's onslaught, the leaders of High Forest decided to send their dear child to investigate the motivation of the cult and if possible… the way to stop them.
Name: Fenly Tasslehoff Race: Stout Halfling Class: Barbarian / Path of the Beast
Backstory
Fenly was a farmer, just like generations of his ancestors. He grew up at home in the outdoors, tending animals and harvesting crops. One day the appearance of a wolf changed his life forever. The wolf in question had been hurt and abandoned by its pack. It had arrived at the farm hungry and desperate, and had attacked some of their livestock, driving them off into the woods. They had run for their life and entered a part of the wood that Fenly had always shied away from. He was never sure why, but there was always an unsettling feeling whenever he was close to it.
Fenly had tracked the wolf to this area, and had steeled his courage and driven on. He found the wolf outside a cave feasting on one of the animals. It ran away at the sight him, but Fenly wasn’t interested in it. He was more interested in the cave that appeared to be whispering to him. He was unable to resist the call and entered the cave, heading far into the deepest reaches of it. Here he found the skeletal remains of a large wolf. He had the urge to place the skull onto his head, and as he did so he felt the animal spirit enter him.
From that moment on, Fenly changed, both physically and his attitude. He eventually left the farming life behind him, heading out into the woods to discover more about what had happened to him.
Name: Terragea Race: Tortle Class: Oath of Redemption Paladin 6
Backstory: Terragea was once a pirate, though he never liked the life. He had joined since it was the family trade, and one would not abandon their family so easily. Even so, he yearned to escape from that life. His chance came one stormy night, with the waves rocking the boat harshly, and the skies themselves being torn asunder. A bolt of lightning had struck the ship, and it began to capsize. Seizing this chance, Terragea escaped.
He made his way to the shore, where he was in an unfamiliar town. He went to the church and begged the father there to forgive his sins, and the father agreed. Under one condition: he must use his power to excuse those who have gone astray, and lead them back onto the right path. And so he agreed.
Now Terragea ventures, seeking to find this cult of the dragon, and making them change their ways.

My family... directed me... at a young age into the alchemy guild to put my intelligence to use for something... productive. While I did pick up the trade quite well, I would be most useful accompanying senior members while they negotiate trade deals with suppliers, potential customers, etc. I would look for wasteful or unsafe practices. You'd be soooo surprised how many accidents happened and how much waste their organization had after they refused to work with the guild. Now, I would never divulge trade secrets, but a large organization, possibly a cult, skipped out on a large payment, and I am to collect.

Kathryn only knew her father as someone not to speak about. Doing so always put a look of utter terror in her mother's eyes, and Kat would do almost anything to keep that look from showing up there. Living in the High Forest, as the only elf with black skin, she was watched with suspicious looks and much muttering behind closed doors. Even as she grew older, and proved herself as so much more than what blood ran in her veins, she was still looked at with narrowed eyes by those around. Eventually though, at least for those who knew her well, she was accepted by those she lived near. She did her part to protect the forest, usually taking scouting of the passages that led into the underdark, and helping to protect the High Forest from threats from below.
When word came in that the Cult of the Dragon was raiding areas far to the South, Kat offered to go and look into it. Such acts often had far reaching consiquences and the elven leaders felt someone needed to make sure it did not overflow into the forest. She traveled South, passing by Baldur's Gate and then on into the Grasslands where the Cult had been reported raiding villages.
