Okay, we have our five. I don't know if anyone else was interested but I like this group. I'll be posting the start of our adventure soon. I just want to look over everyone's characters one last time. This game will be heavy RP with what I hope is a nice dose of action and intrigue. The land of Hidden Valley has been under the claws of this evil dragon for some time. A lot of people are unhappy but since he has broken their will no one really has the mind to do anything about it. That's where the Resistance comes in. In your current state you obviously can't take down Firedeath, but with a little adventuring and exploring... :) I'll post within the next hour.

Gmoat,
Do you want to start a separate thread for OOG talk or do you want to just keep it all in the same thread?

Good question. I am an experienced DM, but this will be my first time running a game (or even really playing one if you don't count the one I just started yesterday) on a forum. Just say OGG if it is out of game talk...and of course if you have something private you want to keep away from the rest of the group you could always message me. If the OGG becomes a hassle, then we can most definitely start another thread. But let us try this way first. :)

Sounds like a good idea. This will be my first D&D game on forums, but I've done forum RPs before for many years. It's been a while but I used to do them quite often. So I apologize if my posting style is rather lengthy or descriptive. Old habits and all.

On the shores of Lake Greenwater sits the small city that bears its name. Greenlake, the largest of the port cities and the headquarters of the Resistance. The docks are floating docks, held together by pitch & tar, rope and random boards from old sailing vessels or buildings that have fallen into disrepair. The city itself has been struggling the past 25 years to just survive. Hidden Valley is not a safe place and Greenlake doubly so. The minions of Firedeath are everywhere, that's why today's meeting in the Loungst Warehouse is so dangerous. Important, yes, but very dangerous. You sit in a room with a grizzled old human know as Dirk the Dark, owner of Dawnspear Inn. He has summoned all of you here in the early morning hours before the sun has even shown it's pale orange face because all of you have shown interest in changing things back to the way they were before. Before Lord Firedeath sat on his fiery throne at the top of Star Mountain. You sit quietly as a woman in dark purple robes walks the perimeter of the building, waving her hands and speaking in tongues which you don't understand.
"It's time, Dirk. Be quick, these wards won't last forever," she says to him. With that, she leaves the warehouse and closes the door behind her.
"So, this is it. We're the best hope our people have of taking back our land."
He looks to all of you and gestures to a table. He walks over and opens up a map.
OOG In your first post describe how you look and quirks or mannerisms that you may want to share with the group.

OOC: I have dark skin, light hair almost white, I have bright green eyes. I keep a cloak wrapped around me tightly when I'm out in the sunlight. I'm terrible with social situations, mostly because I speak without thinking. I'm constantly studying things trying to learn as much as possible to better understand the world. More importantly to maybe stumble upon the answer to a question an old colleague asked me in a letter right before she died.
I go over to the table to inspect the map. "So give me the run down".
With a gnawed and boxed finger he points down to the map. "This is where our answer lies, The Well of Dreams." The map is dirty, pockmarked and fraying at the edges. It has seen it's share of years. The candle next to the map flickers.

I am wearing a blue tunic covered in dragon scale artwork with black pants. I have a dagger in my belt and a few pouches. I have short black hair and blue eyes and my skin looks like it has gotten a little sun-kissed with its tan color.
A young sorcerer clad in blue with dagger dragon-like blue eyes looked over at the map as he paced back and forth, listening to Drik speak. "The Well of Dreams?" Rylei responded at the mention of the name. Puzzled, tried to see if he can remember anything of it.

You seem to recall a legend of old about this place where warriors and sages are tested. The Well has the possibility of changing where and when it is throughout history. It is also known as the Protector of the Horn. Whatever that means no one really knows.
"The Well may help us win the fight and take down this bastard once and for all." You can see on the map Greenwater with the Well's location in the marshes some travel away from Greenwater. "The lands are cursed and I reckon the Well of Dreams is as well. But if you can find the Well maybe there is something there that can help us."
He rolls up the map, "You may take this for your journey."
