You know more about boats and how they work, the boat your looking at is a second hand boat that has been disassembled and reassembled from scratch, using a woodenbarrel as some sort of floating device? The construction of the boat is strange to you since it's not in a traditional sense but it could use some few improvements like the sails, better base of the boat and such. (Think like Madmax but boats)
"Sorry Ma'am we try to be more careful next time..." The tiefling boy looks down at you in shame, a kid that has been nagged by their elders.
"Well...this is the first time I see those creatures surface on those shores, we don't normally heard it often, only in stories! Unless you have the right equipment to venture deep into the depth of the ocean but be warned there a lot of sea monsters down there and you don't wanna get eaten up by them. We lost a lot of folks trya undercover the truth!" The elven girl carefully explain about those strange creatures that appears out of nowhere. "No they are not common, whenever we see those creatures we kill them, they are likely to eat up our resources ma'am!" The elven girls replied her answers to Xan'drila.
"Can we go now? They seems to be waiting for us and we're about to have a feast right now!" Both of the kids left quickly going to their crew sides, you see them mingling around the area for a bit then quickly left the area and heading towards the Inn to relax from their hunting expedition.
Lyla scratches her chin, almost bouncing with excitement. This is her kind of vacation. "I wonder..."
"Um, excuse me!"She looks towards Vivian. For a moment, she seems distracted by Crispin's pistols. "Those are quite rare. Ahem, sorry. My name's Lyla. You mentioned these sharks are commonly associated with sahuagin. Do you think there could be some nearby, if the shark hunters could find this one so close to shore? It's just a hypothesis."

A’ro just looks at Vivien when she asks him about his experiences sailing “I have run into them a few times, but never in major ports usually they are in deeper waters or smaller towns. It is kind of surprising if they are this close. Even in Tal’Dorei they usually stay away from major ports that are well protected.”
As Crispin speaks his attention is drawn to the man as he looks him over carefully especially after his use of the word ‘scalawags’. He just begins to look closer at the shark hunters, his thoughts drifting back to memory. His mind coming back as the elven woman named Lyla that joined them mentions their rarity as his voice lightens back from its stern tone “Yes they are quite rare. Very lucky that someone was dumb enough to bet them, must have been a high ranking ship member or pirate dumb enough to try and take a chance at getting caught by coming here. Either way you're a lucky man Crispin.”
"Apology accepted. You may go but please, stay out of future trouble and try to find a better boat. You're going to die out there on that thing with just spears." She nods to the two children, flipping two gold pieces to the teens before turning to the others. "Yes, to be honest that is the current theory in my mind, Lyla. And A'ro, this is not a major port like Port Damali, is it?" She'd frown, crossing her arms upon her abdomin, sighing out in stress. "I have a bad feeling in both my brains..." She'd mutter out, looking out to the ocean to see how many hunters or beach patrons are out there.
"I don't know anything about any, Duh Rollo was it?" Crisping says with a grin and a shrug," but your description of the ammunition it uses is spot on." Crispin takes back the pistol and begins reloading it, handing an extra bullet for her to inspect."
As A'ro questions him, Crispin Barnaby narrows his eyes and looks the Genasi over. After a brief moment a laugh and a genuine smile erupts from him. "Ah well, you must not be a gambler, my friend! Only those who don't play, or who are very bad, think cards are about luck. And any who spend time around the tables knows those with no control will bet every last thing they have if they smell a chance to win back even some of what they've lost..."
Crispin isn't particularly good at deception any not trying particularly hard to cover his fib on where he got the pistols but 5 if anyone wants to really see through it.
((And ok, anyone who really wants to see through it can definitely smell that Crispin isn't telling the truth about winning the weapons in a poker game...))
From what you can tell that Palma Flora population is around 1,700+ and currently it's Highsummer there a few people goes here to enjoy the holiday, estimated to be around 200-300 people coming each day. From Palma Flora to Port Damali which is 4 days from major civilization and you know that the only defense in this village is the shark hunters, no local Zhelezo(city guards) is stationed here.
As you are talking among yourself and getting aquatinted with each other, you hear a loud banging at the center of the island as the village elder comes out at center stage, the village elder is a human man who is very frail, dark skin that is heavily tattooed on his body and white hair that is tied into a tight knot as he was about to announce the winner of the shark hunting competition. The shark hunters eagerly waits for the announcement of the winner of this competition.
A'ro, Crispin, Lyla and Xandrila you felt a huge shift in the atmosphere as if there gonna be a storm approaching to the island even though it's bright and sunny in the island. Then you felt the ground tremble beneath your feet that that is not noticeable to the masses of this village.
Lyla lifts her head at the atmospheric change, looking out to the shore and sky. A look of confusion crosses her features as the weather remains as idyllic as before. She looks prepared to speak, but the tremors once more give her pause. The scholar looks around, trying to get any clues or ideas of what is going on "That was strange. Did any of you also feel that, or am I needing more sleep?"

To be honest everything I've ever heard about Sahaugin, they don't really care whose nearby and they are very territorial."
As Lyla mentions the shift he nods in agreement as he looks over to the sea "Feels like a storm is approaching. Maybe we could all finish this conversation inside over some drinks."

Xan'drila you use your elven eyes to see the horizon and you saw the clouds getting darker then your eyes moves to the sea and you saw a small shadow getting bigger at each second and the shadow emerged and revealed themselves, a humanoid body that very wet and slimily, the scent of salt overwhelms your nostrils, a row of sharp dagger like teeth creeps a smile at you as it's holding a weapon that covered in gunk and rust rushes towards the shoreline. It's a Sahuagin Raid!
Another shake of the ground but this time, it's bigger and you see the crowds screaming and rushes towards to safety either to a nearby island at north that is connected with a bridge or to a nearby port. Crispin as you look at the docks you notices that your ship exiting the dock leaving everyone at the beach behind as the weather is getting darker and a slight drizzle pouring at you. Lyla as you turned around you notice a greedy fat halfling man managed to stole the "Golden Eye" while the other shark hunters contestants aren't paying attention to the prize. Everything comes into ruins, people's day, vacations, homes and Vivian's sand castle that has been trampled and its wet.

A sunny perfect holiday turns into a disaster, a Sahuagin raid, a storm is approaching and about to ruin everyone's day!
Vivien would also spring into action upon seeing the Sahuagin, confirming her theory. She'd reach into her bag and produce a modified, homemade nail-gun (fashioned similar to a crossbow) she created and also firing upon the closest one she sees causing havoc, preferably one that is about to harm another person.
"The Golden Eye!" Lyla points towards the halfling nabbing the strange pearl. The scholar seems prepared to chase after the small man, but the Sahuagins rush the beach, she hesitates. With a pained look, she takes one last look at the thief, trying to get one last good look at him before turning towards the attackers. (Perception if needed: 17)

As you prepare yourself to defend yourself and the denizens of Palma Flora, even though everyone is naked without their proper adventuring equipment, the Sahuagin aren't wearing any armour and their weapon of choice is their razor sharp teeth and claws! You look around the surrounding area and found some decent weapon to defend yourself like that driftwood that can act as a club, a coconut that can be use as ammunition, a broken bottle that is sharp enough to cut the flesh of the Sahuagins and sand that could temporally blind those raiders. The coconuts trees could provide some cover and you see that one particular coconut that near Lyla was about to topple within enough strength to pinned down someone.
