Hello all, I have an ongoing One-Shot 3rd-party game I have been running. The characters are at 3rd level.
The premise of this game is that the world has had cataclysms that have caused great wastelands to open up. One of those wastelands suddenly became habitable recently. The main government is the Imperials, who have put out a law that no group can gather in numbers more than 5 members. Due to this the world's problems have come to be settled in arenas. There are teams of champions for various factions, those teams fight in the arena to settle disputes and work out issues between groups.
You have been called to come to the capital for trials, in order for factions to pick new teams. These new teams are to represent the factions in regard to the new opportunities in the newly-available wasteland area. As we have 3 players already, you would be someone known to them, and be waiting for them in the next segment of the game.
If you are picked you can get the more-detailed information about the world in the OOC Discord channel.
I would like you not to pick classes and such as of yet. There are a couple non-core classes available in the 3rd-party material that can be picked if wished.
To apply: First we do use a discord channel for OOC material. IC play is here on Beyond though. Do not apply if this does not work for you. This is also a one-shot. It will consist of mostly a mystery that must be solved, and won't last super long. There is currently no plan to extend it. With that said, the main rulebook for this game is coming available in April. If there is enough interest in continuing, and if everyone is having fun, there is a good chance we will move into the main book at that time. If still interested, please respond here with the following... Post Frequency: (Can you post at least once per day, barring RL issues) DND Experience: (How long have you been playing) Sample post: (Give me a quick sample of an In-Character post.)

Alvara follows up the stairs, raising a hand to cover her nose at the stench.
"They don't seem too friendly..." She mutters quietly at the gnashing wolves. Having seen the animals, she reconsiders their original plan to turn them loose. She wracks her brain, considering everything she has read about wolves to make her best prediction of whether they would run out or simply turn and attack them if unchained.
Post Frequency: I can usually manage once per day on weekdays, but less likely on weekends. DND Experience: I've played 5e for almost 7 years, though mostly on roll20. I've tried some of the other editions, but easily played 5e the longest. Sample post:
Quote from DM for context
The manager seems to be struggling with the high concurrence of the students in the small café but still manages to smile and answers "Toasted cockatrice's gizzards on rye. Well, that's today's special but we also have cheese, different sausages sandwiches, bagels, doughnuts, you name it....oh and coffee of course."
"Cocka-threes? ...three roosters? Sounds yum-yum! I's have that, and some koo-fee, thanks you", Hans says after a short thought. He takes his coin pouch from his belt, and adds: "What coinses?"
After paying for his purchase, he puts the sandwich in his pot, and takes the cup of coffee in his free hand. He then looks around, decides the tables outside the café are full enough already, and moves to the tables on the opposite side of the lobby (B2). As he's moving there, he hears the Satyr speaking to him and turns towards them. "Oh, hellos! Hans came to learn more magic cookery! Or alkee-me, as the mister callsed it. And maybe hes finally find friendses too!" he answers eagerly. After a second he realizes to add: "What is goat-mans name?"
I’m a frequent poster, daily usually 2x a day usually have “quality” posts, and I’ve played a long, long time. I can get on discord to check the Ooc but don’t use all the time.
Post Frequency: I'm usually capable of posting at least once per day, and if not I'd let you know in the OOC discord if anything would prevent me from doing so. DND Experience: I've played D&D since 2008, 3.5 at first and 5e for the past few years. Sample post:
Gus bites his lip slightly to stop his anger showing on his face. He approaches the bugbear and crouches near him, “Why were you torturing the poor thing though? What did you expect to gain from that?”
”As f’r the kobolds, they just want somewhere t’live and there’s plenty of room in this dusty mausoleum f’r both o’ yer people. Instead you an’ yours are too busy dancing’ to some human’s tune and doin’ his bidding to see sense.” Gus stands back up and steps away slightly.
”An’ as f’r us? We’re here to find some stray surface folk that found themselves down here, once we find ‘em, we’ll leave. We don’t have have care for warring with your people. In the process, we found that your goblin friends don’t particularly like this Belak fella. Wouldn’t you rather live by your own rules? We’re gonna try to persuade this Druid t’leave, an then you can make your own way. Think a mutual agreement with the kobolds might do ya all some good.”
I am closing this now. We will review the above and send out invites to those picked. I will update this post once that is done, so there is no wondering if you were picked or not.
