Zaiden and Finn investigate the horses. It is clear that the arrows killed them and that they've been dead about a day. One of the horses' saddle has an insignia Finn recognizes as having been on Sildar's cloak. You decide it's likely these horses are Gundren's and Sildar's.
Sig notes the black-feathered arrows, but can't quite come to a conclusion about their origin. It's possible they are orc-made, but perhaps not. He does notice they are bit crude in their make.

Tristan continues to look for the threat from the wagon, keeping an eye on the woods and road.
The rest of you see the threat.
Five goblins, two on the south side and three on the north side of the road peek out from the dense foliage up on the embankments that line the road. They are ugly little beings with red beady eyes and sharp teeth wearing leather armor. Three carry shields and scimitars while the other two carry shortbows. The three with scimitars jump down to the road to attack as the other two take aim.
Sig sceams as he runs towards the goblins holding shortbows, his sword drawn, and the rush of adrenaline spiking in an instant. He's well versed in orcs and goblins, as he's fought them quite a few times defending his hometown.
The boy's usualy shyness and calm demeanor fade away immediately:
"GOBLINS!!! KILL THE ARCHERS FIRST! DON'T LET THEM ESCAPE!!!! RAAAAARGHHHHH"
Initiative: 🠊 Finn 🠊 Zaiden 🠊 Sig 🠊 Goblins 🠊 Emrin 🠊 Tristan
The two goblins with shortbows remain above, on the 10-foot high steep embankments. Three goblins leaped down into the battlefield as you each shouted warnings.
Because of her passive perception and the warnings, Tristan is not surprised.
Zaiden's rapier sings as he draws it and he immediately falls into a dueling stance. "Calmly, Sig... We are more than their match!" he calls out in reply to Sig's sudden outburst, using his own confidence a joviality to give the previously shy lad some inspiration for the fight to come.
((1D6 Inspiration die to Sig - Once within the next 10 minutes, the creature can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw it makes. The creature can wait until after it rolls the d20 before deciding to use the Bardic Inspiration die, but must decide before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails. Once the Bardic Inspiration die is rolled, it is lost.))
Zaiden then steps up and engages the closest Goblin (#4) in combat, swinging his rapier and attempting to thrust it through the green menace.
Rapier vs Goblin 4 Attack: 26 Damage: 12

((Sig posted as I was typing mine up... They still get the Inspiration, not sure they'd want to use it this round though anyway...))

Finn slices his two daggers at the goblin (#3) as it catches itself on the turf, unable to defend itself. Both strikes slice deep gashes in the goblin's torso, and it falls.
Goblin #3 is DEAD.
Zaiden calls in inspiration out to Sig. His rapier then finds a seem between the goblin's (#4) armor and shield, poking straight through its body and out the other side. Sufficient vital organs are pierced and the goblin falls.
Goblin #4 is DEAD.
Sig screams at the goblins to pull their attention and swipes his longsword at the goblin (#5), but it ducks past the blade.
(Sig, unless you have a special ability, Dodge takes an action, and you've used your action to Attack.)
Goblin #1 takes aim at Finn and let's loose. Shortbow Attack: 13 Damage: 8
Goblin #2 was aiming at Zaiden, but Sig's screaming caused it to turn its attention to him. Shortbow Attack: 11 Damage: 4
Goblin #2 shouts something in Goblin across to the goblin (#1) on the other embankment.
Tristan overhears and understands what it yells:
They've struck us down! Go! Prepare the others!
Goblin #5 dodged Sig's attack and returns the favor, swiping its scimitar at Sig's midsection. Scimitar Attack: 21 Damage: 5
Emrin jumps down from the wagon and, hugging the northern embankment to stay out of sight of Goblin 1, moves into position where he can take a shot at Goblin 2.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"They're going to try and run to their group!"Tristan calls out to the rest, as she grabs a handaxe off the side of her bag and hops off the cart. She knew learning Goblin would come in handy outside of annoying her parents and tutors. As she runs down the road, she raises the handaxe up, and throws it at the one who called out to the others.
"Try keeping one alive if you can help it!"
(Tristan is using her full movement to try and get into non-disadvantage range to attack Goblin #2) Attack: 22 Damage: 7

Emrin runs forward to get a better shot with his crossbow, but the bolt sails over the goblin's (#2) head.
Tristan also runs forward after calling to her team. She throws a handaxe up a ten foot embankment at the goblin (#2) with the shortbow in the bushes to the south. Even with the added cover of the bushes and the odd angle, the axe spirals through the air and cleaves the goblin's forehead.
Goblin #2 is DEAD.
We're back to the top of the order with two of the five goblins remaining.

An arrow flies over Finn's shoulder, and he turns to the goblin that shot at him just in time to see Tristan's hand axe cleave through its head. Hearing Tristan's warning that the goblins are going to try to run to their group, Finn calls out:
"Make sure the one on the other hill doesn't get away! I'll try and capture the other one"
He then runs over to the goblin on the other side of the horses, using the hilts of his daggers to try and knock it out instead of killing it
Attack: 11 Damage: 6
Two Weapon Fighting: Attack: 23 Damage: 3
He then pulls the rope out of his backpack, getting ready to tie the goblin up if he can knock it out

“Nice axe!” Zaiden says with a bit of a whistle. “But aim for the knees if we want one alive?” And with that Zaiden gives Tristan inspiration - ((1d6 - can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw it makes. The creature can wait until after it rolls the d20 before deciding to use the Bardic Inspiration die, but must decide before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails. Sig and Tristan both have inspiration now.
For himself, Zaiden turns and looks up at Goblin 1, drawing and flinging out his dagger as he does so.
Dagger Attack: 17 Damage: 5
Whether the dagger hits or not, Zaiden will step up and try to climb up the cliff and run up to the goblin…

We're doing one small murder-y thing for a bigger, better reason. The ends justify the means.
EmrinFinn runs at the melee goblin (to O6) and strikes at Goblin #5 with the hilts of his daggers, but the goblin sees him coming and blocks each strike with its shield.
Zaiden, given the height of the embankment and your proximity to it, the goblin has 3/4 cover. Would Zaiden have stepped back from the embankment to get a better look (and drop the cover to half cover) for the dagger throw? Also, please roll an athletics check to see how well the climbing goes.

Would definitely have stepped back a few feet for a better angle if needed. Shouldn’t be too dangerous unless the bigger is already targeting him, hmmm?

Sig evades and uses his shield to stop the attacks coming his way, feeling emboldened by the goblins' inability to hit him, and listens to Kaemgen as he taunts and uses his words to inspire the party. With renewed energy, he tries to strike again to the stinky Goblin N5.

Zaiden's dagger flies up at the goblin (#1) with the shortbow and sticks into its chest. The goblin yelps and looks shaken. Zaiden then climbs the cliff to K6 and is in melee range with the goblin.
Sig slashes the goblin (#5) with the scimitar. It cries out in pain as blood pours out of the wounds. It's looking rough with panic in its eyes.
Goblin #1 uses its nimble escape to disengage with Zaiden (as a bonus action), then dashes north into the woods, dodging bushes and fallen branches (for 60 feet).
Goblin #5 takes another slash at Sig, trying to do some damage. Scimitar Attack: 8 Damage: 8
Emrin is up!
