"If we couldn't see them until now, I'd guess no one else could either. If we can rush them, perhaps they'll surrender and spill a secret or two in exchange for their lives."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Spilling secrets? Oh, you speak goblin, then?" Tessa whispers, quite excited by the idea.
"Well, I don't want to go to the cave and leave these two here. So best to deal with them. I'll try to get closer to rush them. Anyone else coming?"
The goblins don't seem to paying much attention to their surroundings, so a halfling should get closer without alerting them. Tessa waits for the others to get ready for a fight, and utters a short prayer to Yondalla.
Then she takes a couple deep breaths to shake away the nervousness, and starts approaching the goblins.
(OOC: I'm using Vigilant Blessing to give Tessa advantage on the next initiative roll)
(OOC: The stealthy approach is assuming the goblins aren't really looking towards the cave entrance. And if they are looking, then maybe there's a way throught the thicket. I just want to get within 25ft)

Stealth 14
They are not looking at the cave entrance per se, but they are also not completely facing away from it, meaning they would most likely spot Tessa if she got that close to them. Does she still proceed?
The thicket looks impenetrable from other sides except for this opening the goblins made.
(also, your previous stealth roll was still in effect since you didn't engage combat or do anything to break it, but that's fine)
Maris smirks. "No. But, you and I share a language, and there's a chance they speak the language of: outnumbered-and-cornered. Especially if they see this." Maris will tap the goblin scimitar in his belt. "We only need to convince them it's better to be a living coward than dying painfully."
"I can make sure they spill their secrets, I'll be a bit behind but once ready I'll loosen a bolt" I lean around the thicket and steady my crossbow. "Let's just make sure we don't kill both."
(OOC I follow with Tessa but hold back by the corner)
"OK where do you think I would be most useful? I can charge past them so that they are surrounded when I can get close enough to hit them, I can stand rear guard to prevent them from making a dash for the cave entrance. I suppose, I am not totally incompetent with this crossbow if we just want to try to drop them from a distance."
"Are you good at grappling? Maybe you should run in there too and grapple the other goblin so that I can interrogate it" asks Duncan after re-adjusting him aim a little.
(OOC: Can I inspect the tracks outside the cave to get a rough idea how many goblins there could be due to my ranger's ability?)
(Also OOC: I decided not to use the Tasha's Favored Foe since I don't think it's that good and I could care less, but also, I do still wish to use the Tasha Deft Explorer feature instead of Natural Explorer but I don't own the Tasha Book's on Dnd beyond, so what should I do?)

You can inspect the tracks if you wish, but I believe you still need to make a perception check first.
(And about Tasha's, I have no idea; I'm not on master tier, so I can't campaign share. You might have to just remember its features.)
Also, just to be clear, approaching the goblins from this direction is not possible without being discovered and starting normal combat. If you wish to be stealthy throughout and have the advantage, you might need to begin a ranged attack first.
With that then, I will loosen an bolt at them while they don't know we're here and yell "Grab them!" and after shooting my bolt yell in goblin
"Surrender weak ones"
(OOC: I'll let your do initiative and depending on when I go or if we have surprise or something I'll use this attack roll with advantage) 21 if hit 10

(I like to solve stealth attacks at the beginning of combat and then run it as normal. It just makes more sense.)
Duncan releases the bolt as Tessa rushes in, and one of the goblins instantly falls flat from the hit. It is a perfect kill. The remaining goblin is completely taken by surprise.
"Poor widdle goblin, lost and alone, wants to cry for his mummy." Teslyn taunts the goblin, allowing her magic to enhance her voice to seep into yje goblin's brain.
She also shouts words of encouragement to Maris.
OOC: Action: Vicious mockery on the goblin. Wis save DC 14; 4 damage. Bonus Action: 1d6 Bardic Inspiration to Maris.

The goblin goes from a weird state of surprise and confusion to anger and more confusion.
Wis Save: 9
Maris feels as the words of encouragement fill him with greater strength.
OOC: OK. Sorry about the confusion. I should have read things more carefully. I saw I was at 12 initiative and assumed I was going later in the round.
Maris is going to sprint in and tackle this guy.
Shove: Athletics 5 If that's at Advantage too:

Also if it's below a total of 15, I'll add the Inspiration. If not, I'll save it.

Unfortunately, Maris doesn't have enough movement available to reach the goblin, since he has to pass through Teslyn and Duncan's spaces (difficult terrain). So you might want to save this for later or do something else.

OK. Maris will move next to Lillian (AQ39), take the scimitar out of his belt, hold it in front of him showing it off.
"Nice and quiet-like. Drop your weapons and back up. You want to live? We talk. Or you die like the others."

Seeing that he is wounded and slowly being surrounded by the entirety of the party, the goblin chooses to drop his weapon and resign.

Duncan approaches the goblin reloading the crossbow and pulling the bolt out of the dead goblins head and speak to the goblin, in goblin
"You tell us what's in that cave and where the people on the road went and then I might shed mercy"
Duncan turns to the others for a second, "anyone else here speak goblin?"
