"Safety in numbers is always a good rule of thumb. Sure it might not always end well but sometimes fate works in mysterious ways." Ratka said with a small shrug. Then he tightened his grip on the reigns and cracked them a little. The horses slowly began to move again and the wagon slowly began to move as well.
Wisp nods his head, almost imperceptibly under his hood, and moves on towards the Svalich Woods once again.
He wasn't really one for travelling in lots of company, but he felt a little more at ease with the couple in their wagon, even with the story of what happened to their father. Maybe it was more about having a sense of purpose, protecting these folk who suffered tragedy such a short time ago.
He tried to keep his eyes and ears alert but his mind wandered to his own sister, and what he wouldn't give to be travelling with her right now.
Esther looks back at the woods to the fox. She had been hoping to try and talk with it, but oh well. It can't be helped. Animals can be so skittish. Silently, she falls in with the others, following the cart.
The fox watched the group as they began to leave with the cart almost as if it was deciding on what to do. After a minute or so it starts to follow after them, keeping some distance between itself and the group.
As the group continued moving on towards the Svalich Woods the forest on either side of the path start to look a little different from when they had when you had first started into them. The most noticable difference being that the trees that had once looked like a sea of vibrant green leafs slowly started to look more like gray ghosts due to the fog that hangs thick in the air around them. "Fog's not usually this thick around these parts, or at least it wasn't the last time we went this way..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Initially you don't spot anything due to the fog but after a little while you spot something lurching towards the path. As the figure gets closer into view, it appears to be something akin to a scarecrow. Its sackcloth eyes and rictus are ripe with malevolence. It has long, rusted knives for claws and as it moves closer towards the group two more step out from the fog and starts to move in as well.

When the cart passes Lenn follows it from behind keeping his distance from their new companions.

Wisp once again takes his bow from his shoulder, his ears twitching as he struggles to hear what the fog obscures from his vision.
"It is disconcerting", he rasps from beneath his hood.
Perception: 18 (Passive 17)
Lenn who is barely visible through the thick fog keeps up the pace a little bit to catch with the others but still remains in the last position.
"Sure it is" he replies to Wisp comment.
