The devastating Clone Wars ended four years ago, and since then many people have been grappling with their new government: the Galactic Empire. Some, however, would not be content to concede to such a government. This variety of people seek some escape from the Empire's influence. It is especially difficult to find this on a Colony planet such as Hynestia. That is where six stranger's paths converge and intertwine.

Ability scores: 913128159
Name: Glub
Race: Hutt
Class: Guardian
Background:Scientist
Backstory: When Glub was a child, he was a curious Hutt, wanting to know everything there is to know about the world. His focus shifted to the sciences and particularly biology, where he studied hard to find the inner workings of all organisms. He helped his family with a few customers that refused to pay. Once he became an adolescent he was forced to find his own place of belonging, to make a name for himself. He hated not being without servants and having to talk to people. He looked to find a servant on the ship to give him something nearby when it suddenly flew in his hands. He flew to the nearest force user he could find to teach him.
(I choose equipment but I start out with extra cash, is it okay to buy a personal translator (probably is a droid that would follow him around to translate for him)
Backstory: Tyhr was barely eyes open when Master Dughas found him. Growing up at the temple. As a Padawan he spent most of his time in the outer rim serving as a mediator with his master Lotan. Once the war kicked off their roll stayed the same. Too his dismay and ultimate good fortune he never saw combat. One day Tyhr and his master where called back to the Temple while he stayed behind to tie up loose ends. A week later he got a single word from his Master "RUN" He had been on the move ever since.
Backstory: Razaan started life as an outer-rim slave, as has been the lot of his people for centuries. Once he could no longer take it, he dug out the slave chip with his own claws and attempted to escape. He was only a child, however, and failed. He would keep trying over the next several years, always looking for an opening, and it is through this careful learning and honing of his mind that the Force opened to him. This was how he eventually managed his escape, using his heightened senses, quick reflexes, and carefully-honed ability to persuade others. He was never found by the Jedi, and so has no formal training, though luckily for him, that also means he escaped the Empire's purge, for now.
Tyrss lived a normal life of a padawan until about four years ago with the execution of Order 66. Serving as a Padawan to a Master sent to Kashyyyk to assist in the fighting. However, once the order was given the Padawan found himself and his master being hunted. As the clones closed in on the pair his master gave his life to save Tyrss. With help from the wookies Tyrss was able to make it off Kashyyyk and found himself now in hiding. Four years have passed and Tyrss just seeks to live a peaceful life helping those who need him.
Backstory: Khane's most vivid memory is pain. Many memories of his are of times where he felt pain, but this memory is different. It was the first time he truly understood the feeling. He was standing at the foot of a barren mountain, the dead body of a vulptex lay at his feet. He had smuggled the creature on board the freighter when the Master's slaves had gone to restock their supplies. For six months he had raised it, from a pup to a healthy adolescent. Then he was sold out by one of the servers who hoped to get in the Masters good favour. His brain matter still stains the floor of the throne room. As Khane stood, the cold wind buffeted his cloak, causing it to wrap around him like a death shawl. He wondered what his father would think of him. The son of a Sith, crying over a dead animal. He didn't know his mother, nor her species, but it mattered not: His Sith heritage was clearly dominant. It was in this moment that he first embraced his pathway. The Master smiled at him and reached out her hand, which still dripped with the blood of the vulptex. Khane met her gaze as he raised his own hand to grasp hers....
Khane is the son of a Sith who died millennia ago. His father was killed just before the formation of the galactic republic in 25,032 BBY. Before he died, he hid Khane in a cryochamber on Moraband, the homeworld of the Sith. 20 years before the republic, Darth Sidous (At the time chancellor palpatine) sent inquisitors out over the Galaxy to search for force sensitives that could serve as his apprentice. One inquisitor went to Moraband and found Khane in his cryochamber. Instead of bringing him to the empire, she decided to feign her own death and raise him on a nearby moon as her own Acolyte. As she trained Khane, she soon realized that his power was no small amount, far too much for her to control. He was a good student, learning quickly the various forms of lightsaber combat and force techniques.. He learned under her for a decade, growing his skills and knowledge Despite his inherant strength and his following of the sith religion, Khane never truly gave himself to the darkness. This fact angered his master greatly, to the point that she attacked him, hoping that she could unlock the brutality that the Sith were famed for. In his fear, he managed to strike her down and escaped in a nearby shuttle ridden with guilt and uncertaincy. Unbeknownst to him, the Empire had just risen to power and he was about to find himself in a larger mess than he could've ever imagined...
Basically the gist is that he is a Sith who is struggling with the pull of the light side. I could go on for a full page with all the ideas that have just sprung into my head, and I probably will if I get accepted. Good luck to all that apply

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.

You certainly could, a slightly older 3PO Protocol Droid would cost around 2,000 credits.
Ability Scores: Str 10, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 18, Wis 12, Cha 12
Background: Having been raised in the philosophy of the Jensaarai, Corran regarded the Jedi Philosophy distantly as too restrained while hated the lust for power the Sith had. While trying to achieve his own understanding of the Force, Corran grew disillusioned with the Jensaarai when the order provided aid to the atrocities of the Empire in hunting down the Jedi. Feeling guilty and responsible for the fate that has befallen the galaxy, Corran starts a journey of his own, visiting ancient Sith and Jedi archaelogical and historical sites, to search the truth for himself.
Background: Raised as by a member of the Jedi Order Tabious, only wanted to be a Jedi when he came of age. he was accepted into the order, with some hesitation from the others but they were convinced by his mentor. Convinced that he needed to understand the dark powers as well as the light powers to truly achieve balance, Tabious started seeking out the dark side of the force. Still a member of the jedi order, he is considered a bit of an outcast now and often gets the dirtier or less desirable missions to accomplish.
Ability Scores: Str 10, Dex 17, Con 12, Int 18, Wis 16, Cha 10
Backstory: Jax is ran away from her abusive family on Coruscant in her early teens. From stowing away on a freighter of dodgy reputation she worked her way up and honed her skills, specializing as a pilot of great skill. She currently is without work or a ship and is looking for a new job to take on.
Backstory: (as much or as little as you want to write) Obida grew up on his home planet of Alpheridies and learned the way of the force through the tutelage of the Luka Sene. As he grew older he learned the ways of the Jedi and the Sith through the lens of the Jedi. However, Obida saw both philosophies as wrong and dogmatic, whereas Obida felt a pragmatic approach to force wielding was the best route. Obida left the planet before the purge looking to aid people harmed during the Clone Wars. Instead, he found himself on a ship traveling the galaxy where he noticed a jittery pureblooded sith and wondered to himself if fate had their paths cross.
Ability scores: 141314171615 Name: Nima'vrei Race: Twi'lek Class: Scout Background: Insurgent Backstory: Nima was twelve when the Separatists rolled into Ryloth. She picked up a blaster, learned as she went along, and hasn't stopped fighting since. Even in the all-too-brief grace period between their leaving and the Clone Wars' end, she was ever-vigilant, just in case, always just in case. And then the wars ended, and the newly formed Empire took over. The resistance, inactive after originally getting the Separatists off the planet, sprung up again, and Nima joined up with them without hesitation. And for the past four years, that's what it's been. Now her work's brought her to Hynestia. (Also she does have a family, I realize her backstory kind of implies she's an orphan but there is a Vrei family)
Ability Scores: I'd like to surprise myself closer to game time!
Backstory: *Blip bloop bleep.* - I was designed and built on Naboo alongside the R2 units. They were engineers, we were tactical response teams.
*Boop bip woo.* - I even fought alongside Jedi once, although not for long. My ship was damage and pilot killed. Fuel systems compromised. I patched the hatch too late.
*Sad Whistle* - A long time I floated through space, aimlessly.
*Boom blip* - Scappers picked me up and sold me off here. And so here I am, ready to serve the republic!
*BEEEP* - WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE LOST?
Long time D&D 5e player, never played a Star Wars game.
Backstory: Andromeda was born on the Colony planet of Hynestia. She grew up homeless, fending for herself. She stole whatever she could, from food to jewelry, and eventually money from the Galactic Empire's banks. Throughout all this time, she somehow was able to remain pure of heart. She always stood up for what she believed in, and protected any of her friends, no matter what. On her biggest heist, Andromeda's partner (in both crime and relationship-wise), Luna, got captured by the Galactic Empire. This was Andromeda's fault, and she aims on finding and reuniting with Luna, even if it means taking down the entire Galactic Empire.

Let's roll for this:
Ability scores: 131413151313
Name: Lebenha Wyndral
Race: Human
Class: Sentinel
Background: Jedi
Ability Scores:
Backstory: Lebenha was only a padawan when Order 66 was executed. wanted to join the fight during the Clone Wars but her Master thought otherwise, keeping her away from most of the conflict by assining her to watch over the younglings at the Temple. Her Master, an Arkanian named Master Genna Rash, was a ver demanding one, making her train with the lightsaber and her connection to the Force during endless hours.Maser Genna Rash was a renowed lightsaber duelist, bested only by three or four Masters in the whole Order. As the Clone Wars were spreading and lasting too many years, more and more Jedi felt that they were losing their way, and felt that the Dark Side of the Force were clouding not only their vision but their very souls. Therefore some Masters deflected and tried to mend wounds instead of crating new ones. Master Genna Rash was one of them, and she and her padawan took a small group of younglins to an outplanet lesson, but in truth they were taking them away from the danger Master Genna had foreseen. They had just reached the Lianna system, Lebenha's homeworld, were a group pf symphatizers of the growing umconformists with the War and the growing power of Palpatine would gave them refuge. But as soon as they came out of the hyperspace they were intercepted by Imperial Forces. The Order 66 had been executed. Soon a small battle sprung as their allies tried to help them but soon their ship were attacked by clones and boarded. Little could they know that the stormtroopers were the least of their problems. A dark side wielder, one individual that would be known later as a member of the Inquisition, Inquisitor Thorne, boarded the ship and fought Master Rash. When she saw that all was lost, she pushed her padawan and a few younglings into a escape pod. Her master's ship had sustained a lot of damage but while still fighting the Inquisitor, Master Rash made it jump into hyperspace, to take the Inquisitor away with her. Their remaining allies rescued them and took care of the surviving younglins and Lebenha, but after a few months, and with the kids safe in another world, living in a small colony, she left, feeling that she had to try to reach for her Master.
