Tea's features show his shock as the Captain desicrates their comrade. His eyes then narrow as he watches the blood run down Sinestra's blade and arm. Tea makes a mental note of the cruelty and dispassion displayed by his new Captain, and the now Admiral. A family should protect each other. Guard the weak until they are strong. Lead, teach, train, and encourage. Not murder the weak. Not punish to teach. Tea knows the value of a life, and to take them so casually does not sit well with him. He looks around to Tanne, Gimmur, Anglos, Titus, Salty, and Zradhall; wondering to himself which of them may be unlucky enough to catch the ire of their leadership next. He whispers to himself under his breath, "Yeah, it is definitely time to put some distance between myself and this boat."Tea begins to clap half-heartedly at Sinestra's promotion. Regardless of his feelings, he will need to work for her until he can either change her heart and mind . . . or remove them.

Tanne D'Landra: Lvl3 Human Battlemaster Fighter (Archer) - Sea of Annihilation PbP
Titus unconvincingly clapped with a stern look upon his face. He understood the need for corporal punishment, he wasn't concerned the by harshness of the sentence, but the jovial attitude their monstrous captain made his skin crawl.
Discipline was essential, he had already reprimanded one of those men for a similarly disappointing display just a week ago. "This isn't some ******* piss-ant pirate ship, it's the damn Maelstrom!" He had growled. He'd thought that had scared him straight, but a few bottles of ale last night and he fell right back into the same bad habits. The fool shouldn't have signed up for this fearsome crew, this wasn't like the pirate stories the bards prattle on about... the Maelstrom was a terrifying outfit, and her captain cruel and unforgiving. Titus accepted that, he understood that his Admiral was vicious and evil, and that he was to be feared. A pirate captain was supposed to be vicious and fearsome, and Titus certainly feared him.
Not long ago, Titus would have never imagined he would be following such a leader. He followed orders, obeyed the law, and served his country honorably. He had even helped hunt down a band of pirates once when he was stationed at the port. But that was many years ago, before those turbulent years when empire fell and his country was ravaged. After that, his whole world was chaos, everything was falling apart. He didn't care about the law anymore, nor did he care about the fate of anyone unlucky enough to fall prey to the Maelstrom or her captain. He had an anger that fueled him now, that would make him stronger, until his was strong enough to take vengeance on those that still occupy his homeland... and during his time on the Maelstrom, he had grown stronger. Lazy crew members only made them weaker, and he didn't want men like that aboard.
Still... the punishment didn’t fit the crime. And even if it did, taking the life of a comrade, be it for gross negligence, desertion, even treason... was solemn and dignified in the Legion. He was always uncomfortable about the disrespect for the sanctity of life shown by this lot. Titus felt no shame in killing, but he took no joy in it either. He felt disgusted by act of senseless sadism of the Admiral and Captain Sinestra, and if this madness went too far... even all the treasure in the Shining Sea wouldn't be enough to keep him here.
Gimmur meanders through the crowd to stand next to Tea. The two unlikeliest of sailors shared an unspoken bond. "What are we gonna do, Tea?" he growled under his breath.
Tea holds a small piece of copper, staring down at the deck, and casts Message (to Gimmur). The spell fizzles as Tea realizes he is in the path of the Admiral's main eye path.
"Bide our time friend, bide our time. We become to the crew what the Admiral and Captain are not, and we use that against them."
Gimmur meanders through the crowd to stand next to Tea. The two unlikeliest of sailors shared an unspoken bond. "What are we gonna do, Tea?" he growled under his breath.
OOC: to see whether Tea heard Gimmur whisper while the crew is cheering and applauding the promotion of Sinestra.
OOC: You would have heard it but your spell wouldn't have worked. You are in the antimagic cone of the beholder. So if you want to communicate, do as normal but roll a Stealth check just as he did.

OOC: Ohhhhhhh shit . . . ok. Hahah! I totally forgot about a beholder's main eye. Alright, I'll add a stealth check.
EDIT: Whelp, I might be rerolling a new character!
Anglos approaches the Beholder, “Good afternoon, Admiral. Congratulations on your promotion. A wise Triton philosophy once said, ‘There’s plenty of fish in the sea, but few sharks.’ I feel that such a phrase fits this well. In any case, it is customary in my people to regularly thank our hosts. Therefore, thank you for your hospitality.”

With the bow from Sinestra, the Admiral smiles as he spots the fish man approach while everyone else watches with caution. But as his smile wanes and before he can speak, Sinestra who also caught the fish mans approaching scent continues, "But it is not just our day to celebrate is it, Admiral? No, this fine lot certainly should be celebrated too. For if they did not finish off those meddling adventuring types so quickly, who knows. Perhaps the Flying Dromos would not have been so easily won..." she says gesturing to the fish man and the remain six of you.
The Admiral then says in an agreeing fashion, "Yes, I was about to invite you lot up. But I see things are done a bit different down below"as his large eye begins to squint toward the fish man. Then Sinestra speaks, "Yes, done differently. But you are an Admiral now. People will be coming before you from all directions to gain your favor, so you should expect such... forward people" she finishes as she lets off a slight wink toward Anglos.
"Yes, yes of course. You are right! So, how about the rest of you approach and introduce yourself. Such a big crew I have and it changes so often"he says as his eye looks off toward where the two former crewmates were tossed overboard. "I am afraid I can often forget who is under me."
One eye slowly closes toward Sinestra in an attempt fishy wink, “Perish the thought, Admiral. I am a visitor upon your vessel. It’s perfectly understandable that we have not had time for a proper introduction. Though you seem to keep an eye *double fish wink* on your crew. I am Anglos Coralath, Bubbles Beneath the Depths, son of Abyos Coralath, Whispered Voice of the Deep, lone hatchling of the late Siryn Coralath, may she find peace amongst the sea. I am here on a diplomatic mission from the deep city of Mariana, as my father before me. This ship has been most educational.”

"Such a long name... must be some sort of royalty beneath the depths. But remember, you are not royalty here fish man. I am the king here. But do be sure to tell your people of my greatness when you meet them next, for once the surface world is conquered... below the depths will be left for me to plunder" then Sinestra chimes in, "Ah, see Admiral. Already you have royalty before you, most impressive."
"Aye Capt'n,"Salty approaches the Beholder, "The name's Salty Joe. You put me in charge of feeding members of the crew. I'm still waiting to hear how you take your meals so I can serve them to ya."
Sinestra looks at Salty Joe,"Yes...I did. Thanks for reminding me before we depart"she finishes as the Admiral begins to look at her in a less positive way then back at Salty. "Of course, honor those directly above you first. The chain of command must be.. respected."
Titus steps forward and performs a sharp salute by striking his battle axe to his shield before pointing them stiffly at his side.
“Sir! I am Titus Vespasian, First Sheild, 13th Legion of the former Nemean Empire. When the Empire fell I tried my hand as a merchant sailor, but found this to much more lucrative, and a better match for my skill set. I’ve been working with some of the more eager men to show them how to fight like we did in the Legion to make our crew stronger. I seek vengeance against my foes... but until then, I will make your enemies my enemies my Admiral, and I show no mercy to my enemies.”
Gimmur Arnskull clumps forward, heavy boots thudding on the deck. "Admiral, Captain," he begins with a salute to both, lingering longer with his salute to the Admiral out of respect for the greater rank. "You know me - Gimmur Arnskull, Chief Carpenter at your service!"
