Backstory: Having born in a family of artisans, Wilhelm grew bored within the confined spaces of the city at a young age. Torn between satisfying his wanderlust and the pressure from his family about having a profession to earn his living, Wilhelm chose the middle ground: Joining the Cartographer's Guild. Completing his apprenticeship, Wilhelm aims visiting the locations on his maps, look after himself on his own in his travels, and perhaps improve or even chart new maps of his own.

Do you prefer puzzles/combat/socialising: All, but I enjoy socializing and combat more.
Class: Ranger/Swarmkeeper (I know that's kinda unusual for a soldier/knight character, but I thought it'd be fun to play a sort of irregular knight who's outside the traditional cavalier or paladin type!)
Background: I took custom background with features from soldier and characteristics from knight, because I wanted animal handling and athletics.
Backstory: Tridira is one of seven children of the well-respected knight Sir Nathan and his wife Lady Phyllis Garcius of Elturel. Tridira is also, unfortunately, a tiefling. No one knows exactly how it happened, or if they do, they're keeping their mouth shut. Tridira was born bearing the unmistakable mark of Stygia, and her heritage grew only more obvious as the years passed, her eyes turning to black pits and her horns growing in quicker than they could be shorn off. In some families, this would have been reason enough to banish mother and child from the home, or worse, but Sir Garcius would never consider it. Instead, he sold his ancestral home in the city and moved the family to a small estate in the countryside, where Tridira would be safe from gawking eyes and unkind words.
Tridira was raised in love. Sir Nathan and Lady Phyllis never seemed to think of her as anything other than their beloved daughter, and each of the children were raised to think the likewise, regardless of her bizarre appearance. But despite this, Tridira always sensed that her existence made her family's life difficult. They rarely had visitors, and when they did, they steered well clear of Tridira. The family was rarely invited to the balls and horse races and other events the rural gentry enjoyed, and when they were, her parents usually elected not to go. Nothing resembling a courtship, much less a marriage proposal, had ever come for any of the Garcius children once they came of age. They were, if not quite pariahs, at least not well thought of, and Tridira could find no justification for this that didn't point back to her.
Tridira might have grown bitter were it not for the affection her family gave her, and what anger she did harbor hardened instead into resolve. She would make herself worthy in the eyes of Elturel. So worthy that all the lords and ladies of the kingdom would have no choice but regret their unkindness towards the Garcius family, and beg their pardon. She would be a great hero! And why shouldn't she? She was as fine a fighter as her father had been at her age, and she had a burgeoning natural talent for magic besides, having been conjuring icy-blue butterflies to make her siblings laugh since she was little, and having only taught herself more and more in the intervening years. She was strong and fit. She could track and ride and spend nights in the cold and wet without complaint. Why shouldn't she be a knight? Why shouldn't she be the greatest knight of her age?
Tridira set herself to training, and when she was old enough, she asked her parents for an officer's commission in the Army of Elturel with the promise that she would make them proud. With tears in their eyes, Sir Nathan and Lady Phyllis ascented.

Iakos was raised as a soldier and completed several successful missions before being selected to have the honor to go on a mission with the leader himself. However, the mission went wrong, and Iakos was badly wounded. Unable to walk, he watched as the leader and the others left him to die. Iakos fell unconscious, but when he woke up, he had been fully healed, and he saw a girl (any race) standing by him, smiling. Before he could say a word, she was gone. Iakos was confused - why had this stranger healed him without intending to use him for something? He resolved to find this strange girl one day and pay back his debt, whatever it may entail. He changed his name to Chant, wanting to distance himself from his origins, then left to seek out the girl.
