So, let me give you a backstory. I'm a someone creating a homebrew campaign set in a personally build world, which is different in terms of combat and damage types. The world is a fantasy campaign set in a medieval-style world full of were-creatures. Races will be limited, but there are many new ones to choose from, including:
This is the description of the ancient, thought to be extinct, were-dragon race, so the background won't be used in the character's creation.
I ask people not interested in certain races to not go into the spoilers, because part of the story is that you learn about the other species over time.
I am also open to new were-creature species, and am able and willing to create any suggested ones.
The main story is actually based on a book I am writing, so there will be set events that you cannot effect the outcome of. You will venture on side-quests, accomplishing secret agendas and interacting with the main characters in some quests. Preferred post rate 2-4 times a day, and 1-2 on weekends.
If you are interested, just let me know which races you would like the links for, and what custom races you would like introduced, if any. Players will be selected by March 20th.
Here is the link to were-bird, were-snake coming soon.

In-campaign, your character starts not knowing they are a were-dragon. Becoming a were-dragon happens without your control. You will first discover that you are a were-dragon when you are in a life-threatening situation. Start the game as a human, elf, dwarf, or orc, and you will change your race once you discover your abilities.

So should we roll a character? Otherwise Ill just start off as a were-dragon elf.
This is just an interest thread, so I will be posting a new one with applications in about 2 days. This is basically for the race choosing, and then you make your character.
This is a cool concept. I am definitely interested. I was wondering if there is a race that would be more protective of nature than others? I don't want to click on all the links and ruin the concept. Possibly a different race? Thanks!

I’m interested in either the were-wolf or were-cat. Might be interesting to see a were-weasel (ferret or wolverine)
D&D since 1984
I'm pretty interested in a Vampire PC.
"Where do these guys get all their ideas?" - TommoBoi, to WOTC
DM of Night of the Nutcracker.
Im interested in playing were-Snake or were-bird.
I could possibly make the ferret a subclass of the were-mice. Working on it. Wolverine is just like the bear, so I might do that to, if I have time.

That would be cool to be a were dragon. I'm in.
