"Tulgi's cabin can be found on the western edge of the settlement." Elro then gives the specific directions on how to reach Tulgi's cabin and Urgon's home.
Eline watches the soldier and the goliath drink away. She wouldn't dare try and challenge either of these two, let alone try and hold her liquor. Nevertheless, her mage hand continues sketching and writing notes. Absently, she runs her fingers through her golden highlighted hair hanging down in front of her face, and tucks the rest of her jet black hair behind her ear as she listens. She is quiet for the moment, content just to watch and observe. Her eyes widen at the prospect of 150 gold, wondering whatever she would do with such coin!
Eline blinks at Trem's invitation, but she smiles all the same, and nods. "Sure thing!" With that, she dispells her mage hand and packs away her things, standing up as well.
Roxaria shakes her head, seemingly to pull anything from her memory. “I don’t know. I vaguely recall a couple of adventurer’s discussing over drinks about an ancient magic.”. She pauses to recollect. “Something about it not being able to be dispelled except by the originator of the magic.” Roxaria shrugs vaguely, “Not sure if that means anything to anyone here. Maybe it’s a certain spell discipline? Again, outside of my knowledge.”
After receiving the directions to Tulagi’s place she quickly stands up as if something urgent occurred, “Well, wait a minute. I just need to grab my stuff. I’ll be right back!” Roxaria takes one step away from the table and abruptly stops, grabs her drink and with an impressive gulp for a lowlander elf, finishes the mug of mead. Knowing that she will return, she runs off to the barracks and after about 15 minutes, returns with her longbow and pack and little breathless. “I have permission and am ready whenever everyone else is!”. She plops into her chair, the adrenaline quickly fading.
Kavaki’s favor must have been bestowed on Vauthok as he looked at the plump sack of gold coins. Out his area of expertise or not, the Goliath would be taking this job not matter what. “Dark magic.. It has a stench to it. Hopefully not what we are dealing with..” He mutters more to himself than anyone else as Roxaria explains what she had heard. More interesting than that was the way the elf downed her drink. Oh yes, Vauthok would get along with this she-warrior just fine.
It definitely didn’t take long to replace the party he had only lost a ten-day ago it would seem. Hopefully this one would be resilient enough not to share the same fate. Vauthok leaned against the wall just beside the table, not trusting the average sized chairs that surrounded it to support his impressive weight, and finished off his mead with a sigh. It would be nice to stay here for a bit longer and drain a keg or two of the heavenly beverage but the gods clearly had other plans. “I will take a look around Ulgrom’s dwelling.” The Goliath chuckled to himself, “Not such a good idea for me to be around when a low lander is already not wanting to talk..”

Upon entering The Jolly Dwarf, Kha draws back his cloak and hood, revealing his mossy green complexion and a amulet around his neck displaying four bolts of lightening radiating from the middle. He grabs a large mug of ale from the barkeep before joining the others at the table near the fire.
The orc sits, mostly quiet, sipping his drink as Aldataur lays out all the information regarding the affliction and trying to make some sort of connection between the two cases.

"Doesn't sound like anything I've come across." Kha replies tot he elf and shrugs as he struggles to recall any similar sounding disease. He then downs the rest of his drink as the others seem ready to investigates other leads.
"Maybe this trapper brought back some bad food somewhere that she shared?" he suggests as they prepare to depart. "Oh, and I am Kha, by the way."
Elro returns the pouch full of gold into his pack and waits to see if anyone has any questions. If there are no questions he will bid the group farewell. "If anyone finds anything please tell me. You can find me at the town hall in the middle of Palebank"

Trem is slightly impressed by Vauthok, the Goliath seems to have more brain than he gave him credit for. Not wanting to talk about himself Trem asks Eline:
Vauthok turns to the newcomer and couldn’t help but raise his nonexistent eyebrows in surprise. A orc? He had to wonder if this green one was as peculiar of a sight as he was. None the less, the warrior thrust out his forearm to be grasped in greeting. “Vauthok Stormclimber.” He introduced himself but once again omitted what herd he orginates from. Until Ilaman was dealt with it was best not to advertise that he was still alive.
He gave a nod to the gnome across from them, “You and the small one care to accompany me to the dead one’s dwelling?” Vauthok rubbed the back of his bald head sheepishly with a grin that looked out of place on his fierce visage. “I will not lie. I am not one for investigation so two more pairs of eyes may not be such a bad idea..”
Reginald acknowledges Vauthok's comment and responds, "Excellent suggestion, let us prepare for our journey" The gnome prepares to leave with the rest and heads off to get his pony for the trip.

So... how did you wound up here?
Do you all know eachother?
"Well, no. I don't know any of you! Some many leagues due east of here is Cinderrest Sanctum. I called it home for the last seven years since...," she hesitates, not altogether sure she should outright share her whole life story with someone she just barely met. "Since...well...since mom passed. What brought me here, however, was, more than anything, my aimless wandering!" She grins sheepishly at the elven man. "Yeah, I really was sent out on my own by my mentor and teacher when he felt there was nothing more he could offer me. Why, he told me 'well, lass, keep yer head about ye, and don' go lookin' fer trouble when it ain't necessary,'" she says, imitating her master's heavily accented speech, " or some such drivel."
Eline shrugs, not knowing what else to say of herself. Of course, there were things she'd rather NOT say about herself or her past...

Kha welcomes the goliath's greeting, grasping the offered arm firmly. "Well met, Stormclimber,"and looks to the gnome off to fetch his mount. "A good place to start. My eyes are not the sharpest either, but don't worry... The Storm Lord can offer some assistance to our less trained eyes."The orc proudly taps his amulet.
Each member makes their way out of the Jolly Dwarf Inn. The air is crisp and billowing clouds comes forth from each members breath. It is quiet on the paths of Palebank. The only sound is the crunch of snow beneath each person's feet and the occasional dog bark.
Trem, Roxaria and Eline will see Tulgi's cabin. This snow-covered cabin looks peaceful and quiet from the outside. Its windows are shuttered, and a steady stream of smoke piping out of the chimney indicates a roaring fire within.
Vauthok, Kha, and Reginald arrives at Urgon's home. A female glassblade stands guard over Urgon's home. She puts a hand on her sword and states "Move away, this is no place for visitors. If you knew Urgon he has passed on"
The crunch of snow with each step reminded the Goliath of his home and he couldn’t help but momentarily bask in it, but there was gold to earn and a job to do. As the three approached Urgon’s cabin it was hard to miss just how peaceful the village had become with the silence that nightfall brought. Vauthok had once again pulled his hood down low, letting the shadow it cast cover the majority of his face aside from gaze of his piercing blue eyes. The sentinel that stood guard in front of the entrance placed her hand on the hilt of her blade and the barbarian had to fight every fiber of his being not to reach over his shoulder and do the same. These were peaceful people. He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, the air visible as it left his mouth.
“Your leader, Elro, sent us.” Vauthok stated in the most calming tone he could muster but his stance said otherwise. Muscle coiled and tense, ready for anything. “We are here to make sure this doesn’t happen again.” Hopefully.
She takes her hand away from the hilt of her sword "Alright you can go in ... just be careful."
Once inside, you see this cramped, dark cabin might have been a cozy place when its owner was alive. Now an unmade bed stands near a cold fireplace, its mantle hung with the head of some snarling white beast with gray horns. On the other side of the room, a small table strewn with dirty dishes and set with a dwarf-sized chair stands before two empty shelves whose contents are scattered across the floor: kitchen utensils, dried foodstuffs, adventuring gear, and a few books.
Roxaria notes the smoke coming from Tulgi’s cabin. “Somebody’s home,” she says matter of factly. She makes her way to the door and knocks on it. “Tulgi? Private Roxaria Icewind, Glass Blade. May we come in and speak with you?”
Roxaria ensures her shield is slung across her back and secured and that her longsword is sheathed at her left hip. Her longbow is held and the quiver attached to her belt on her right hip. She knocks on the door once more. She steps back from the door to give the occupant space when they answer. She turns to Trem and Eline. “You think with as chilly as it is out here, Urgon was even aware that he was afflicted?”
"Thank you. We'll try our best,"Kha says to the guard as he steps into the cabin. The cramped quarters are magnified with two bodies the size of Kha and Vauthok taking up much of the space. After a moment Kha just stops trying to move to allow the others to look around, while his attention is on the beast over the mantle.
"You know for an explorer I expected a bit more... well, everything. I don't see many trophies of his journeys around here."

I think I'll have a chat with her.

Is it...him?
