Urgon’s adventuring equipment consists of a silvered maul; a suit of splint armor sized for a dwarf; bulky, fur-lined clothing sized for a dwarf; a grappling hook; and a hooded lantern.
To Trem's kind gesture, she smiles warmly, and replies, saying, "It is what it is. It was seven years ago this day." She continues to wait outside the door with the other two, listening for movement or signs of trouble. ( 4 Wisdom Perception Check)

Eline then decides she will try her hand at diplomacy. "Madam Tulgi," she speaks in even, clear tones, "I am Eline of Cinderrest Sanctum, this is Trem, and as you have already been introduced to the Glass Blade warrior Roxiara, we are not here to harm, hurt or trouble you. We only want a bit of information is all. If you could grant us an audience, we'll be out of your hair in no time! If you'd be so kind as to answer a few questions for us, that would be all we'll be needing."
Eline waits at the door with the others, her obvious nervousness showing as she shivers, and not just at the chill in the air. She never felt she was good at talking to people, but she had to try!

Reginald nods to himself and says to the others, "When we get back together with the others, we ought to ask around about what types of creatures inhabit these lands. Seasoned warriors just don't spend a lot of money just for making their weapons look pretty with silver. It would be good to know if lycanthropes or incorporeal undead are a problem around here."
Reginald notes Vauthok's weapon of choice and comments "We also should find out if anyone has a claim to Urgon's property.", Reginald pauses a moment then continues on, "It should be given to any heirs of his. If he doesn't have any, we may have the opportunity to make a scavenger claim on the equipment and land property."
The gnome then mutters to himself and with a gesture summons forth a spectral, floating hand that starts to check along the rafters of the cottage to see if anything was hidden up there. (Mage Hand Cantrip)

"Madam Tulgi," Eline begins, "we mean you no harm or ill will. We only wish to ask a few questions to understand the situation in this village a little better. I personally promise you that we will not bother you again after this, if you wish. If at all possible, may we please come in? It is a bit chilly out."
Eline gulps silently, wondering if she even said the right thing. She certainly was trying to be as polite as she could.
Eline, Trem, and Roxaria hear movement behind the door. Tulgi opens her door and gestures the others to come in. She is shaking and immediately retreats to her bed after the group enters.
The heat in this small cabin hits like a hammer blow. A table set with neatly stacked dishes, tools, and utensils stands at the center of the room. The smell of a simmering soup comes from a pot hanging inside a roaring fireplace. Another fire burns in an iron brazier at the opposite end of the room, filling the cabin with a smoky haze. Shivering at the end of a bed near the brazier is a dwarf wrapped in blankets. Bulging blue veins streak her face, neck, and hands.
Vauthok apologizes with the most polite voice he can muster but it isn’t that impressive. After turning back to the room and his companions the barbarian spots the maul laying with the rest of Urgon’s equipment and gives a low whistle of appreciation. “No way a thief loots this place and doesn’t take that beauty.” He explains more to convince himself than anyone else. The work of art deserved to be wielded so it making sure it reached the hands of it’s rightful wielder was the right thing to do, even though the mere sight of it had the Goliath licking his chops. “Maybe Elro would know..” The idea of a run-in with a lycanthrope sounded almost as fun as swinging the magnificent maul.
He scans the room once more before turning back to the doorway and asking the guard another question, this time without lumbering over like an angry bear. “She-warri-urgghhh, Mila, do you know who had orders to stand guard here before you?” Good save, Vauthok. An angry woman with a sword wasn’t exactly something he wanted to deal with at that moment.
Mila looks at Vauthok and responds "There was chaos when Urgon's body was discovered. It took Elro a while to settled down the scared people." She furrows her brow in thought "No, I don't think there was any other Glassblade before me"
The beauty of the Silver Maul distracted Vauthok during his investigation.

Eline immediately takes stalk of the one-room cabin, and approaches Tulgi, keeping as close as she can to the fireplace. It is a welcome feeling, the warmth, and she is almost tempted to remove her overcoat, but refrains for the time being. She bows politely to the dwarven woman. "Well met, Madam Tulgi. As I said earlier, I'm Eline Rygr, of Cinderrest. I...," she hesitates, wondering if the question is too personal or intrusive, but continues anyway, saying, "I am a practitioner of the arcane arts, and while I'm no healer, maybe...if I have a look at you, I can possibly glean what I can about your...condition, and maybe--hopefully...possibly?--find a solution. May...," Eline hesitates again. "May I have a look at you? Trem here, Roxaria, and myself have some questions that you might be able to answer."
Eline waits, watching the blanket-shrouded dwarven woman carefully.

Eline fans herself with one hand, realizing just how warm it is in this cabin. She relents and removes her overcoat, hanging it on one arm. Carefully, she approaches Tulgi, and stands next to the blanket-enshrouded dwarven woman, taking care to stand with her back to the fireplace to continue to keep herself warm. Eline chooses her next words carefully. "Ma'am," her voice is even and somber, but with a hopeful tone, "I don't know what powers lie within my blood, but I will do all I can to help you. I can't make promises I can't keep, but I will try to un-number your days, if I am able. At the very least," she remarks, "we can start to find some clues and answers to some of our questions."
Eline carefully taps into her magical energies, and casts her invisible mage hand. She needs to be able to feel out the blue icy veins on the dwarf's face to get a read--possibly--on what is causing this illness. At the very least, possibly determine if there is some sort of barrier to healing this affliction. "Ma'am," Eline asks carefully, "may I...," she hesitates for a moment, "may I examine those veins on your face? I, myself will not touch them, but my invisible mage hand will, and I can possibly determine the properties of this affliction. Is that okay?"

The mage hand begins gently touching and caressing the icy blue veins on Tulgi's face, and traces along them. Eline shuts her eyes and taps into her magical energies to begin to determine the properties of this affliction. Talking in low tones, she begins to inquire of the dwarf about aspects of the affliction.
"When did you begin to have these symptoms?" Eline begins.

Roxaria tightens her lips at Trem’s comment regarding her emotions. In one aspect, he was right. As a Glass Blade, she was to keep her emotions in check. On the other hand, why should she not be able to express her feelings. Roxaria turns to the door and is about to repeat herself to Tulgi again when Eline steps up and using her diplomatic skills manages to get Tulgi to permit their entrance.
Immediately, Roxaria feels the blast of the heat and immediately regrets wearing the standard issue under garments to keep her warm under her armor. She immediately starts sweating as Eline works her magic to determine Tulgi’s affliction.
Tulgi lowers her gaze and starts to fidget. "I must have caught it when I met Urgon a few days before he died"
Roxaria defensively takes a step back upon hearing that. “What were you visiting him for? What happened during that interaction exactly? Did you shake hands or something?” As she waits for Tulgi to process the question, Roxaria carefully looks around the room to see if any journals are splayed open carelessly or if any unusual equipment laying around that a trapper would not typically have.
Investigation 17
She does take notice of the simmering soup and makes her way towards the fireplace, though at this point the heat is becoming unbearable. “May I serve up some soup for you, Madam Tulgi?”
