"Thank you for dealing with the unpleasant travelers. I understand the need for immediate action, and I shall grant it to you. Please, for your troubles, take 125gp. Divide them equally amongst yourselves."
“Thank you for your generosity and understanding, we’ll get the rest of this to the other’s posthaste.” Orun pockets 25 gold and hands Ventus their share as he as he starts to head back to where they left the others.
Having cleanly parted ways with the duchess and picking up the rapier he had custom ordered from the vender Orun rejoins the rest of the party with a bit of a skip to his step as he hands out everyone’s respective share. “The duchess has been informed, we have our peace and she saw fit to reward us 125 gold of which Ventus and I have already taken our shares.”
OOC: currently, I only see 5 people in the campaign, so I am factoring for that. Once the 6th person puts their character back on the campaign, they can claim an additional, not divided, 25gp.
Orun performs a few test swings and thrusts with his newly acquired blade as he practices his footwork. “Wait for the sun to set and meet up with the old man, maybe see if there’s anything you’d like to purchase before leaving with your new found wealth, do whatever it is you will.”
Ventus quickly makes his way back to the travelers. Once back with the group "The duchess was kind enough to give use some coin, now lets depart before its too late."
Ventus leans against a wagon as he waits for the others.
OOC: I'm assuming that since Lyger is waiting with the travelers (and the moon is already pretty high) there is no time for him to find a store that's still open.
You set out onto the trail the travelers took. This is evident by the large numbers of horse hoof and wheel tracks. The trail is heavy with fog. 5 minutes before the moon hits its highest, it begins to glow a rich red, almost like blood. As you get over a hill, you see the travelers standing, waiting for you on the edges of a forest. Just then the fog turns into a mist. The old man looks spooked, and gestures hurriedly for you to get to him. Before you get to him, the mist closes in on you, and you all black out.
Upon waking up, you are still immersed in mist. You have 30 feet of vision. You can see each other, and your cart. All but two of your horses, the two draft horses attached to the cart, have disappeared. You hear moaning around you, almost unearthly moaning. If your character has even encountered zombies before, you instantly recognize the sound, otherwise, you don't.
(OOC: I am using the Encounter Builder Beta for this, so I am able to automatically roll your initiative for you. I'll let you know when it is your turn. Then you get to decide what you do.)

Lyger is pacing around.
What's taking them so long?
He cast a nervous glace at the moon.

(Aleppo has no need for gold - enjoy!)
"So, friends. What now?"
The clearing between the building you are in is suddenly lit up by the moon's bright light. There is 1 hour left before the travelers depart.

Lyger accepts the 25gp.
Are we all set?

OOC: Sorry I'm unclear on the timing. If there is the chance to purchase items for a trip, Hawker would like to purchase the following:
Shield, Grappling Hook, Mirror: Steel, Bedroll, Tent, Lantern: Hooded, Oil x5, a set of Traveler's clothes, and a Chest
If not, he'll take a moment to the side, check his pack item by item, and join the group.

Aleppo hovers over to Ventus and perches on his shoulder (backpack and all, he weighs a colossal 5.5 lb...)
There is time to purchase items, just say ready when you are all ready to leave.
