(Earlier: Titaani just misses Longscarf with her dagger.)
Ben steps in front of the others, defending them with his tiny sword.
Cad fires a trio of glowing, arcane darts at their three assailants. All three double over in pain as the darts sear into them. They are seriously injured, but none fall.
Horatio races through the waist-deep water as fast as he is able. Reaching under the boat to try to capsize it, his hand slips on the slimy exterior and so he just manages to rock it a little. But he is now face-to-face with the sniper hiding within.
Longscarf laughs, and with a massive spring, leaps over the water separating the two legs of the causeway, landing with a clatter just behind Cad, his long scarf drifting down into the water below. With a flourish, he tries to strike Titaani twice with his hot iron. Branding Iron Attack #1 vs Titaani: 27 Hit: 10 fire damage. Branding Iron Attack #2 vs Titaani: 17 Hit: 10 fire damage. Quick FIngers: 9
“What’s yours is mine; it’s only a matter of time,” he taunts.
Then he leaps backward, twenty feet, in the other direction down the causeway where you had just walked from. Cad (who still can't see him) and Titaani (if she's still up) may have an opportunity attack.
(Edited post 743 to reflect Cad's retreat and a revised map.)
(It's unclear if the brands are permanent, but they most definitely hurt. His iron seems magically hot. It's definitely arcane.)
(Matilda's target is hidden, at least from afar. She'll automatically find him once she gets up right up to the boat, but it will take a Dash to get there. Do you want to throw the dagger at Disadvantage? Or choose another target? Or Dash?)

Matilda slogs through the murky water as quickly as she can, as is able to get right up to the edge of the skiff, next to Horatio. She is now face-to-face with the crossbow-wielding harengon hiding within.
Two of the brigands begin to batter Ben with their clubs: Club Attack #1 vs. Ben: 6 Hit: 3 bludgeoning damage. Club Attack #2 vs. Ben: 12 Hit: 4 bludgeoning damage.
The third slings a stone at Horatio. Sling Attack: 20 Hit: 6 bludgeoning damage.
The sniper, looking a little panicky, fumbles with his crossbow, then takes a swipe at Horatio with his club. Club Attack vs. Horatio: 14 Hit: 2 bludgeoning damage.
Another set of bagpipes call out from somewhere in the fog ahead. More harengon.
Matilda reversed her grip on her dagger, less enthused about stabbing now that she was face to face with her attacker. She smashed the butt of her dagger at the rabbits forehead.
“No!” cries Ben as Titaani crumples into a heap. Deflecting the incoming blows from the ruffians, he almost instinctually reaches back toward his fallen friend and touches her motionless form, beseeching Sune to show kindness to the poor soul.
Suddenly, the amulet on his chest blazes with power. Turning to a mirror-polished surface wreathed in healing wisps, the power flows into the downed Gnome, bringing her suddenly back to consciousness!
10 hp healing for Titaani!

Cad gasps as Titaani falls, seemingly stricken from out of the blue. But before he can react, Ben reaches down and -- "Ben! How?" is all he manages to get out. Seeing his friend bent over to help the wounded gnomish girl, with his back turned to his assailants, Cad feels a rush of fury. "No more!" he shouts, and again firing forth a glowing bullet into each of the harengon near Ben. MM#1: 4 MM#2: 4 MM#3: 3

Gasping, Titaani opens her eyes, her hand immediately going to her shoulder and wincing.
Looking up at Ben, she begins to realise what he had just done for her, her eyes going wide. If he hadn't done that...Ignoring the horrible thought, Titaani gives Ben a quick, grateful hug, before turning back to Longscarf. Once again her eyes turn from cyan to bright purple as she raises her hands in front of her, summoning a pulsing ball of energy of the same colour.
Eldritch blast towards Longscarf - with agonising blast - 21 - damage if hits - 5

Holding back the angry club-wielding mob with one arm, Ben turns to touch Titaani, bringing her back to sudden consciousness.
Cad, sensing (and ignoring for a moment) an odd presence behind him, fires another triad of glowing darts at Ben's attackers, felling two of them. (One of them falls backward into the murky water, nearly hitting the skiff.) The third brigand is fairly badly injured.
Horatio, face-to-face with the sniper in the skiff, is up next. (Matilda's turn comes with Titaani's, after Longscarf's.)

Horatio knocks out the sniper in the skiff with a single blow. The harengon slumps to the bottom of the boat, unconscious.
(Top of the round!)
With a laugh, Longscarf makes another enormous bound, his blue scarf arcing behind him. (Cad may have an opportunity attack on his invisible enemy at disadvantage as he does, based on the sounds of his presence nearby.) "Your turn!" he shouts, playfully, to Ben.

Titaani and Matilda may act next.
Longscarf is completely invisible to both Cad and Titaani.
(Lacking a target, Matilda may reconsider her turn, posted earlier.) (Titaani may keep her Eldritch Blast roll if she wants, but she will need to make a second Disadvantage roll, because Longscarf is both invisible to her, and making a ranged attack at close quarters. Or she can rethink her turn altogether.)
You hear the splashing water of a second skiff, approaching from the other side (top of the map).

Cadwallader:
Cad hears the disembodied laugh and finally understands: the thief has turned invisible! But how he maintains his invisibility while attacking is beyond Cad's understanding of how the spell is supposed to work. He grips his staff in both hands and swings in a wide arc at hip level, hoping Longscarf won't just leap over it. Quarterstaff: 5 for 6
"He's still here!" he warns the others, not knowing they can see the harengon plain as day. "He's just turned invisible! Listen for his breathing!"
Narrowly blocking the fiery poker with his shield, Ben says, “This is no game, Longscarf! You play with your follower’s lives!” Over his shoulder, Ben says to the brigand still standing, “Pull your friend out of the water so he doesn’t drown—we won’t hinder you.”

Matilda clutched at the bolt sticking from her collarbone with a look of shock....pain....anger......yeah....anger was certainly coming to the fore.
She raced toward the skiff and threw her work dagger at the sniper as Horatio tilted the skiff.
