Perner drops the spell, slumping a bit as he does so.

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

yeah, perner will drop the spell with a slight stumble

((Attempting to move things along as we have a few awkward items at play - I will write a proposed next action for the party - if you object strongly, let me know and I will retract))
The party being rested prepares to search further into the castle. The amber fog begins to dissipate around them and the tick-tocking heartbeat of the building becomes audible again.
Discussing options and remembering from their prior experience in the hall of mirrors the party comes up with a plan to enter it without blinding themselves again.
They follow this plan and soon enough find themselves in the hall of mirrors, all doors shut and all lights extinguished or shaded (Zera's sword is in its scabbard).
For any with darkvision, you see the hall is quite long. It extends to the east.
Along the south wall, from west to east, are
the double doors they originally entered through (A),
then a set of stairs leading up to a balcony,
then another door (B),
stairs leading down from the balcony,
an over-passing bridge,
and another door (C).
At the eastern end of the hall is a tall arched set of doors (D).
Along the northern wall, heading back from east to west, are
a door (E),
the overpass,
stairs to the balcony,
another door (F),
yet another door (G),
stairs from the balcony and
the doors from the corridor in which they have just had many arachnid encounters (H).

Bran struggles to see anything in the dim light of the hallway, but at least it is not blindingly bright this time. “More doors here than I thought there would be, but the large set of double doors at the end of the hallway seem promising. I say we try those next.” Bran moves the length of the hall and tries to inspect the double doors for any markings or traps.
Approaching the doors, Bran smells the aromas of excellent cuisine being prepared somewhere to the north, probably from the eastern most room to the north. The double doors Bran set as his goal are beautiful wooden doors with the image of a large old tree engraved in relief across both of them. There are no traps.

"After you"While the smells coming from the other room are tempting, Bran makes an exaggerated gesture for Perner to go ahead, then follow him through the double doors, keeping his eyes alert for any signs of danger. Perception: 23.
