Edit: you can kill it if you want. This scene, this moment, it doesn't use dnd rules, at all. Do whatever you want. I think you've escaped the embassy and earned your level up.
Angus will lay hands on Sam, enough to get him up and moving, and on anyone else that was felled by the cloudkill, and then point them away from the Undead horror and shout "Run!", making a beeline for the nearest wall or exit. (I'm a little unclear as to the most direct route out of here, didn't realize that wall was scalable earlier).

I mean, it's dnd. It might require a check or something, but in theory, a person can climb a wall. Honestly I am surprised bobody can just fly. Worst case maybe toss a rope over the thing.

Even a tiny creature could. Since tbere are no stakes right now, though. Yoi could run through the halls swinging weapons and mowing down dozens of skeletons a d mystic knights, willy nilly, dodging lightning Bolts and Fireballs without harm all the whole. Just anything you want.

Sam will run down the hall way with a mix up of darts Vaders march from rouge with no force power and being like the predator
(LOL I'm having trouble picturing a knight in full plate armor scaling a wall, but if you say so.... )
Angus will hustle after the others, toting the chest full of research notes, ducking missile attacks and counting on Sam to clear the path ahead.
(Did we loot the ambassdor's corpse and leave it behind, or is someone still telekinesing it with us? I'm guessing he's going to end up undead if he's back there.)
(Who wanted the research, the Cloaks or the Blades?)
Angus will head back to the safe house with the chest, to take a long rest before venturing anywhere else. He will watch the displacer kitten with interest, and offer it some food and water. He will look through the documents and statuettes, and consult with Chadderlay if there is anything of value to the team there or if it should all be turned over to the authorities. He will also offer up some prayers for the soul of Tetrevess, whom he assumes to be dead.
Sam will also head back to the safe house and will lock though the documents of any interest with his mission to find his weapon
Investigation 18
then will look though the chests then asking the leader if they can get him some gloves of ogre power giving his 200 gold prices and some from the chest then will go over to Angus
“you grieve for him how pathetic, do you real think he’s gone” with a smirk on his face “you think a person like him then have some training from the wizards of thay would merely die, he’s out their somewhere that man is more clever than you and smart” he will sit down and will continue if Angus replies but will focus on attument with his new greatsword
<The Harpers are allied with the Thayan rebellion and the Giant Court, Maelstrom. They are the ones who tasked you with retrieving the articles in the chest and ,in theory the sword.>
Angus will glance over at Sam and say, "I can only hope you are right, big fellow. I have no doubt he is or was more clever than I. I would be overjoyed to learn he survived."
(Mechanically you're going onto downtime, so multiplr long rests are built in.)
Sam can go buy gloves of Ogre Power, but probably not in Mulmaster, where magic is forbidden. Probably not feom the Cabal of secret agents from loosely allied covert organizations.
You'll either have to go looking for used gauntlets (thus then is known for its armor) and hope you find what you want, or explore somewhere else. Anywhere you like. You've got a tenday. Course getting there quick might cost you. Moonsea us full if ships, could probably book passage. Most folk woukd be okay with arcaniats. Giant lizard... well so long as your coin is gold, I suppose.
As you return to Ussa's home, the horror of the embassy behind you, you find only rhe old woman waiting. You report the happenings of the evening and rest.
Away from Chadderlay, she tells Angus "Trouble there. No doubt. I will report this to Morwena in the morning. Those articles shouldn't be allowed to fall into the hands of the Thayans, though. I don't know that it's any safer with her than it is with Szazz Tam himself. Perhaps yiu should leave it woth the Cloaks. Although, with the events if the evening, the Thayans might decide to make their move before they lose their foothold. Perhaps the temple of Tymora is the place to bring it. The High Blade we have now is a venerable man, but the people do not have faith in him. Take it to the Temple and I think the city will fi d it had tolerates the Thayan oppression quite long enough."
Crafting time is an 8 hour day (no double dips) for every 1000gp. you can have someone else craft for you, especially if you're willing to pay them.
+1,+2,+3 items are not inherently, technically, magical. Read rhe document for details, there. You can improve a magic item by adding these, but they are expensive. I did t realize u til I wrote this sentence that I don't have a formula for that yet, but if you consider the rarity as an indicator, the price will follow. It should be harder to improve magical items since they are already assumed to be of incredibly high quality, even more so with increased rarity.
My view of magic items is that they should be cycled through, but if there are one or two you really love, keep them and enhance them. The game is already balanced without any fixed assumptions about magic items, instead they should do something unique thst the character couldn't ordinarily do. Permanent stst buff items are allowed. I just find them boring most of the time, becasue people just buff things they were already good at. I have a bladesinger wizard who should almost never use a sword and that doesn't make sense to me, so I took Gauntlets of Ogre Power to make the mechanics if the character match the story kf the character. I'm not saying you need to do that. It's your character. Play how you want to.
If there's an item you want but it's expensive, see about crafting it.

@everyone: ESCAPE! (cinematically)

This is a victory lap.
(I say we book it. I could try to turn the thing, but that only lasts for one minute)
( I agree)

Could Sam just clime over it as a large creature

But Angus is no ordinary Knight hes a Knight of myth dranner and rides upon the wings of a Dove held aloft by the Falcon hand
As far as I know, the corpse us still being dragged about by TK. But let me know if if I'm wrong.
The kitten stays with whoever has the chest of artifacts.
So, having escapes the embassy, and now in possession of a chest of notes and ancient statuettes, what do you do with it?
Headed to the safe house? Back to the tower of Cloaks? Perhaps to the blade of Justice to get your stuff back?
These and other options csn be selected individually, no need to do them all as a group.
Also, go ahead and level up.
(Akame will drag with ambassador's corpse with telekinesis until its duration runs out, then he'd have to carry it the mundane way.)

Where will Angus take the chest?
Akame: Did you drsg the Ambassador's corpse to the safehoise and did you let Ussa see it? We should unpack that separately, if so.
I'll post the magic items crafting rules soon. It's long and a work in progress and I'd like your feedback.
Main takeaways include a resource for magic item pricing.
