Name: Anare Galad
Race: High Elf
Class: Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline)
Backstory:
Anare hails from a small society of high elves on a secluded island. There, all members of society require instruction, testing, training, trial, and results. Due to Anare's distant draconic bloodline and innate abilities as a sorcerer, he passed most magical trials with relative ease. However, all students must complete 'a harrowing' before being adapted into higher ranks and roles within the society. The high council sets each student's harrowing, and Anare finds himself sent to strange lands with only the words that he 'must complete the trails of the harrowing until his ascension '. His ambitions hold to one day become equivalent level to an Arch-Mage or High-Magister. He seeks power, but not influence necessarily. Likely, once achieving high enough rank and force, Anare dreams to one day build his own tower on his own distant island, and live out his days in seclusion, collection, study, and experimentation.

Name: Bardan
Race: Firbolg
Class: Paladin
Backstory: The elderly protector of a small Firbolg town, Bardan spent much of his younger years shirking responsibility. After an event in his youth, he took up a mighty shovel as a knight to protect the innocent. For many years the village was guarded from neighbouring nuisances such as bears, boars and most terrifyingly... a slightly larger bear. Now aging and decrepit, he seeks a squire to protect his home. Ever lively and jovial, he helps all those he can on his path.

Backstory: Cetos grew up in an average home. Cetos was bullied as a child for being small, but his parents taught him to stand up for himself and others. As he grew up Cetos taught himself taught himself to fight, so he could defend the underdogs, like he had been. Still struggling with insecurity, Cetos had a habit of drinking to gain some confidence. Cetos became known for fighting for the people and traveled the world looking for people to help.
Backstory: Kriv was born to the owners of a high class inn in a port town. He spent his days talking to the clientele and listening to stories of tropical islands, mysterious creatures, and battles with pirates. Kriv's parents wanted Kriv to rise through polite society and lead a life of lavish parties and political maneuvering. Kriv would sneak off to the docks. he would spend his time loading ships, learning about sailing, and fighting. During his time on the docks, Kriv befriended some unsavory characters, who invited him to join their crew. Kriv packed some belongings and left port. At first they stuck to looting cargo and gold, but the crew became increasingly aggressive. One night, one of the crew members killed a guard who asked too many questions. Kriv became enraged at this meaningless act of violence and nearly killed the crew member. To teach Kriv a lesson, his captain had beat Kriv and left him unconscious as they sailed away from the now destroyed town.
Barthrum has very few memories from the time before the dragon attacked and all of their clan hid in the mountains. Then the main entrance flooded and they had to flee even deeper. First it was for a few days, but the water took its time to recede. Then it was a few weeks and nothing was left of the path they had come from - there had been a landslide of some sort and the exit was just not there.
The chiefs sent out exploration parties to find other exits, but none came back with success. They did find a large cave system though that had been abandoned by someone intelligent a long time ago. There was water and some fungi, fish and other edible wildlife and the Blue Hill Clan was never one to just lay down and die - work had to be done to make this into a new home.
Weeks and months and years went by. The Clan survived and figured out a life for themselves in these new circumstances. Passages were fortified, food was carefully hunted and cultivated, the young were kept safe and everyone was taught all the crafts. They were completely isolated from the outside world for two full decades before another tunnel collapse a bit outside the main area opened up an unknown vertical shaft...

Swoop joined an order of priests sworn to silence. It's a bit awkward, as he doesn't really speak anyway, but he understands a lot. Sign language is his preferred means of speaking. Which not everyone else speaks. Again, it's awkward.
He's left the cloister in order to pursue a warning he believes he was given in a dream, where dragons appeared over and over.

Name: Assar Jottunson
Race: Goliath (flavored to be from a frost giant)
Class: Fighter (plans on runeknight)
Backstory: Was born into poverty and ran away at a young age so his family wouldn't have to support him. Ended up joining a Viking crew though didn't realize that's what he would be doing. Same rules as in post #1 (or use the character you've already made in this thread). Good luck!
