I'm planning on running the Tyranny of Dragons adventure (from Hoard of the Dragon Queen) in a beginner friendly setting. Do you have what it takes to oppose the Cult of the Dragon?
The adventure
The Cult of the Dragon has been active in Faerûn for centuries. It has focused on making undead dragons to fulfill a prophecy most of that time, but that’s changing. As the Cult of the Dragon has grown bolder, its actions have drawn attention. Your character has stumbled into the Cult’s scheme in some manner or has a connection to dragons. (You'll roll a d10 for me, and I'll PM you the bond). I'll be taking you for a little adventure, you'll reach level 4 by the end of it. (If it goes really well, I'm willing to take it to the end of Hoard of the Dragon Queen. You'll reach level 8 at the end and might want to bring your charater over to The Rise of Tiamat.)
How to apply
I'm looking 6-ish level 1 characters, no critical role/MTG/Eberron content, you may choose a Background, but no addiontial feats (also no Tasha's). You can take standard equipment. I'll be using Milestone btw.

Name: Eric Bjornstad. Race: Hill Dwarf. Class: Cleric (Forge Domain)
Backstory: He was a respected blacksmith and cultist of the forge of his own village until one day he travelled away for a while to take some raw material for his forge. Once back he found his village burned to the ground, signs indicated involvement of the Cult somehow. I know is vague but I would let it up to DM to adjust it according to the lore.

Time Zone: GMT +2 I can post almost every day with few exceptions but I am especially active during my evening. I am currently playing another pbp campaign which is slowing down unfortunately.
Question: Do you intend to play by Discord Avrae or something else?
@viso90s The adventure will be played here (in a new thread) as PbP, there will also be a "session 0" group chat in the PM-box of dndbeyond. I still need you to roll a d10 so I can tailor you into the campaign.
Backstory: Lazin served as a scout in the Neverwinter Guard for much of his early life. After a falling out with an officer, which led to his resignation, Lazin spent much of his time travelling the Sword Coast as a guide for merchants and travellers. Rumors surrounding the Cult of the Dragons have reached his ears of late, which piqued his interest somewhat.

Name: Tharivol Hanali
Race: Elf - Eladrin (Thinking Autumn, but subject to change depending on party composition/session zero)
Class: Sorcerer (Wild Magic)
Backstory: Tharivol is an odd fellow, as all fey tend to be when entering into the common realms. A traveling busker that learned to play his lyre from his mother, he never stays in the same place for too long. Tharivol has always been cheerful and generous individual from the time of his childhood, he always struggled with living solely in the fey realm, whilst it is home and beautiful his rampant curiosity made him wonder, what else could he be missing, what untapped beauty is out there? So upon the end of his adolescence, he ventured forth on his trail to discovery, taking odd jobs, adventures etc as his naive and trusting nature always lead to countless shenanigans along the way. (Full version of backstory available upon request. Didn't want to spoil too much!)

I would be very interested in joining for this one - I am not extremely experienced with D&D5e, so looking for a good chance to learn it :)
Ability scores: 111313161416
Character: Telurion
Background: Soldier
Class: Paladin
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Character Details: Telurion does not look like your average knight in shining armor paladin - he has dark disheveled hair, and piercing deep brown eyes. After having been through some tough times in his life, he has a grim posture for those who meet him initially. It takes him a long time to make friends, but once he does, he is a steadfast companion. His gear is not always in pristine condition, but he is trying to improve on his discipline.
Brief Backstory: Telurion comes from an orphan background in the streets, after his parents both died of extreme poverty and sickness - he expected to find kindness and compassion from the neighborhood and other merchants who many times rubbed shoulders with his parents, but he was wrong... Eventually he turned to a life of petty crime just so he could survive, but things were not going well even so. He was 'rescued' by Talian - a wandering warrior who took pity on the starving child, and who would become his mentor in those early years. She taught him the value of trust and friendship when he was at his worse, and brimming with rage for those who did nothing for his parents when they so desperately needed help... And then she was gone,. leaving him with only a cryptic farewell note (which I will detail more as/if we move along), and an apology for stealing away like a thief in the night. She wrote it had to be done, but did not explain anything further, writing only that he was prepared to face the world at large, and should not hesitate in doing so. Telurion managed to find from a guard on watch in which direction Talian had followed out of the city, and in the next day he departed after her without thinking twice. So far he has had no luck in finding any clues about her whereabouts, but he does not intend to give up!
Akremos grew up a tiefling, looked upon with distrust and in many cases overt hate. He was blessed with the boon of his life when a monastic Teacher took pity on him and brought him into the monastery. He was taught a great deal about the nature of Ki as well as tieflings and the nature of demons, to breed confidence in his own identity. He has grown now, and is at a stage in his path to enlightenment where he must venture out into the world.
Robert was always fond of music. Since he was boy he used to go and listen to all those troubadours and tried to play the same song but with his own style..as he grew up music became his life so he decided that a farmer's life isn't his cup of thing.. he his parents and went on a journey that will lead him to pleasures that a few people know so far

Name: Bronze Viper
Race: Dragonborn
Class: Monk
Back Story: His father a warrior, and mother a tailor, Bronze Viper had little connection to his family when he was invited to join a monastery in his early years. Invite may have been a stretch, but he took quickly to the monastic ways, and enjoyed his training. Growing stronger in faith and mind, Bronze Viper was tasked with a quest to find his calling. As he left the monastery to fulfill his quest, he was confident he would return shortly.
Name: Calvin Clansnow Race: Human Class: Druid Backstory: Calvin developed an interest in nature and animals at a young age. In particular, he had a keen interest in lizards and other reptiles. He was interested in the fact that lizards would hibernate in the winter and reawaken in the spring. He saw this as evidence that even animals start anew every year, refreshed. He was also interested in their ability to regrow their tails. Calvin believes that lizards have powerful healing magic. Name: Born on a Moonless Night aka Moon

Backstory: Moon is a cleric of The Cat Lord who blessed him with a desire for knowledge. Moon set out from his home to seek out further knowledge, oftentimes delving into whatever information interestest him at the moment, oftentimes switching topics mid-rearch (think of it as divine ADD). His desire for knowledge oftentimes gets him into trouble as he doesn't see certain types of knowledge as off-limits and believes that knowledge is to be shared among the masses.
