Bjorn assumes an air of casual confidence, pretty certain the cave has no further surprises. He grabs a bundle of bolts from the wagon and tells Squib and Dub to keep watch while the crew checks out the cave. "The job truly begins here, eh?"
He follows behind whoever is using the pole, carrying the most ostentatious crossbow ever seen by man. As they approach the stairs, he begins to whistle a jaunty tune, but the ominous manner in which it echoes causes him to stop whistling.
Reginald exclaims, "I may have a way to deal with them without risking ourselves." He brings forth his pygmy barn owl familiar, D'ortani. "I can send D'ortani ahead and he can spend a minute burning to ashes." he pauses and considers a moment, "Or freeze them or spray them with acid." (OOC : Dragon's Breath spell through the familiar)
"It will reduce my underwater spell usage down by one, though."
"Hum," Sparhawk considers. "This main room we think may have been sleeping quarters or something. Over to the right is an actual dumbwaiter, going down to a kitchen perhaps." "We haven't really searched too much down below. Lets see whats around the corners down below and consider if using your owl makes sense." He looks at Frangipani, "that cave has some water which is much deeper than we thought. There are some sort of lights, or creatures in there, but we left before making contact with them. I assume there are more traps and creatures down below, and I never rule out undead."
Vars roll a perception as you move down the stairs and say which block you stop on for your movement, Lir is aiding you in the look out for traps so roll with advantage
Lir is going to hold his action to cast shape water to turn the water a bright and translucent colour when they get below. The idea is to try and reveal by contrast anything that might be floating in there.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Vars advances warily, keeping his bow ready as he does so. He also tests the ground as he goes, stepping lightly before putting his full weight down just in case there are other pits or false floors ahead.

As he goes, he says to Reginald (assuming we are talking about the slimes lol, sorry I'm behind on this...), "Frangipani tried ice and...I believe acid on these things last time we were here. It didn't seem to do much from what I could tell. Fire...did we try fire last time?" He looks to Sparhawk as he asks his question.
"Anyway, the only thing I remember working was shooting them with arrows. I tried using poison but... I don't think it helped much."
“I don’t think we tried fire Vars. Blades made it split into two creatures so I tried smushing it with a hammer. But it ruined our weapons and squirted acid at us.” Sparhawk looks at Reginald, ranged attacks seemed to work best plus no acid squirting in our face.”
Let’s do a quick look around make sure we haven’t missed anything. Also, anyone know anything about Dwarven ruins

(Bjorn and Sparhawk had a battle to move the boulder I. The front of the cave. Bjorn won. Pretty funny. )
assuming we don’t Find anything new, which we may with our new friends, we will head down the stairs, spread out 10 feet apart groups of 1/2

(Lir rolls perception for traps)

Frangipani just wanders in, she's fairly sure they found/triggered all the dangerous stuff last time...
(Ya, on the first level, let’s be careful when we head down)
”keep alert as we head down. We haven’t looked around too much yet”

List order of march, hallway is 5' wide
( Middle)
Vars, Lir, Sparhawk, Frangi, Bjorn, Regi

(Use that pole and Lir!, or use Lir as the pole?)

(No water here, that’s in the left cave)
Ah, ignore so, Lir aides Vars.

(lol, finally a good perception roll. I wonder what it would have been if Lir hadn't been helping :'D)

(Don’t forget the 10 foot pole)
