Skrach would cozy up to the strong one, using his limited charisma to try and find some common ground. He has always been a follower, looking for the biggest, strongest glob around to protect him. He is however also sneaky and a little selfish, so would gently suggest that the stronger one could break out "if they really wanted to".
(His logic being that they will be the priority to recapture)
He will likely ignore the intelligent one as they will see through him too easily.
What a coincidence Cameron! You’re first time as a DM, my first as a player.
I played AD&D with dice and books (years ago). I’ve created a character (see below).
Given the test scenario and the fact that my character is a Paladin, a “jailbreak” is out of the question. With three days to go I’d work with the bright one, telling them my story and what little alibi I have. Since I was on the road travelling to this place when the murder occurred, I need to find a way to get a message to my companions in order to provide proof of my whereabouts at the time of the crime. The smart one has the best chance of coming up with a solution to that problem.
By the way… I’ve been accused of “murdering a nearby town.”.
I knew my character was strong and dexterous, but I’m just a level 1 fighter. Not sure I could murder an entire village and get away with my skin intact.
Hmmm… Maybe that’s my alibi. I’ll have to run it past the insanely smart character to see if that tack might stand a chance at my trial.
In the scenario, Vanir would quickly persuade both members to help him. He would then use the smart person's knowledge of the prison, as well as persuading a guard to help him, to form a plan to escape. Then he would persuade the both of them to join him in his escape, and would escape quickly afterwards. Then, he would flee town to the farthest away town as possible and grow a reputation as a bard their.
Cassia was brought in last and seemed by far the least likely of the three. Whatever their race and ability, who in their right minds would cast doubts on the charismatic little harengon who padded in? She seemed supremely confident in her innocence and in being judged as such. The accuser must have been a scorned lover or such was the guess.
Casting a discerning pair of violet eyes over the cell's occupants, she offered both a passing smile but in the end settled on an unoccupied bench closest to neither. There she lounged against the wall, brought one leg up into the loose circle of her arms, and tapped a soothing, carefree cadence on the wooden bench. Her head bobbed along to the lyrics of some unsharred song. They may have taken her lyre but clearly the ceaseless music of life hadn't left her.
You have been falsely accused of murdering a nearby town, and your trial is in 3 days. In the meantime, you are put in prison. There are 2 others in the prison. One is incredibly strong, and the other is insanely smart. What do you do?
Gwylla would likely try to befriend and discuss obscure knowledge and information with the smart one, distracting herself and causing her to forget about where she is until her inevitable trial, where she would likely get flustered while being questioned and wind up being sent for execution.

Cal will sit patiently waiting for his opportunity to escape. He will only speak to the other prisoners if spoken to first. If they want to escape he will agree to help them but wait for an opportunity to use them as a distraction to the guards. He then casts disguise self and turns into a guard and walks out the prison of his own free will. If that does not work he will try and intimidate anyone who gets in his way using his powerful magic and dragon like features.

I am completely new to this but if you're alright with me getting my feet wet here, I would love to give it a try.

Random question. What college do you plan on playing? I'm going to be a college of lore bard, if I am accepted.
Was this question for me? If so, she will be college of glamour. ^^
I love the college of glamour bard. If someone shares the books, I have the stats to be a college of swords bard.
