Ok, I've chosen my players. Thanks so much to everyone who applied with amazing character ideas! If we have a dropout in our game, I'll come back here first looking for replacements.
Opening this back up. I had a player drop out of our game, so I'm looking for one replacement. Anyone interested in being part of our Wildmount campaign, please post your character idea as per the instructions at the beginning of this thread.
His father a warrior, and mother a tailor, Bronze Viper had little connection to his family when he was invited to join a monastery in his early years. Invite may have been a stretch, but he took quickly to the monastic ways, and enjoyed his training. Growing stronger in faith and mind, Bronze Viper was tasked with a quest to find his calling. As he left the monastery to fulfill his quest, he was confident he would return shortly.
Description:
In the monastery's main yard, a young bronze dragonborn is seen moving fluently through his martial techniques - occasionally unsheathing his short sword and bending blade forms into his dance. At two meters in height, and a hundred kilos mass, he is tall and lithe, chiseled with lean muscle. His whip like tasseled hair is long, and pulled tightly into a braid. His dobok is tan, and across the back is a burnt orange embroidered visage of Paladine, his order's deity.
Backstory: Sunita grew up in Kamordah and though a bit of a rapscallion in her youth she steadied and and took a job as an estate guard for the Stassman family. It was a pretty good gig....until that horrific night. ( see Obann and Co. raid on the Stassman estate).
With family members and most of her workmates dead Sunita was cast adrift and with her parents retired to the Menagerie coast she had no family local to stay with, suddenly homeless she was reduced to working odd jobs as a caravan guard and was even considering signing up for the war effort....
( Keeping the rest loose for now so its easier to work in Heroic Chronicle stuff.)
If you are still looking, here my amazing Artificer ! He will be tinkering away, and maybe one day create the greatest artefact ever build !
Name: Markus Gillhead Age: 41 Race: Human Class: Artificier Background: Guild Artisan - Markus set up his tinkering shop in the starting village-city
Markus always had an interest in creating and understanding how things works. Thus, it was no surprise he became an apprentice. One day, walking out in the woods close to the city, he stumbled upon a gnome at the mercy of five direwolves. Brave enough, he helped the poor creature and saved him from a certain death. As a reward, the master gnome, master Miyagi, took him as an apprentice in his renown shop and taught him his secret gnomish tinkering.
He loved his job, his curiosity and his skills made him a valuable asset and the shop was thriving. Every night, Markus used to sit and sip some gnomish alcohol, listening to his mentor talking about old gnomish artefact - almost as old as the Calamity. Until, one day, his master disappeared. His last entry in his diary was about the finding of old ruins, maybe hiding priceless artefact. Markus had a gut feeling, a sensation that his old mentor was alive. He knew he had to go and find him.
Markus is an half-elf, Heir of the Baron and Baroness Gillhead of [insert best city/village]. His mother, half-elf from a long noble lineage, fell in love with a man who saved her life. They say their love was strong and pretty soon they married and conceived a boy: Markus. All his childhood, he was a sneaky little brat, playing tricks on the servants, but never harmed anybody. One night, at the age of 15, he followed his dad to his office that was always out of boundaries. There, he discovered that his father was hiding a terrible secret: this man was in fact a green dragon polymorphed, enjoying lying his way though nobility and amassing lands and titles.
It struck him… Could he be half-dragon ? This is maybe why he was so good at lying, so good at talking to people and never really got sick…
Unfortunately, the green dragon spotted the young boy. Having a predilection for insidious lies and poison, the dragon decided to get rid of the nosy boy and his, now useless, mother - one stone two birds. Polymorphed as the boy, he killed the baroness in plain sight. Without any way of defending himself, Markus managed a narrow escape and build a new identity: Filip Green. He survived by running some cons and stealing from rich nobles. But he has only one goal: confronting his dad and regains his title.
Backstory: Tiel was born into nobility, but she was never truly one of “them”. Scholarly and inquisitive from a very young age, her family quickly realised her potential as a a powerful spellcaster and scholar, and sent her to some of the finest academies in the world. Now, equipped with bookish knowledge and hungry to explore the world, Tiel is ready to do whatever it takes to fulfill a mysterious promise she had made to her dying mentor.
